History

Established in 1981.

Cadillac Insurance Center was established in 1981 by William J. Geeseman and has grown into one of the largest independent full service insurance agencies in Michigan. Cadillac Insurance Center renamed the benefits department CIC Benefit Consulting Group (CIC) in 2010. The benefits department specializes in medical, pharmacy, life, disability, vision and dental benefits.

CIC and its Third Party Administrative firm, Advanced Benefit Solutions, is committed to providing financial solutions, education and second to none customer service to the groups and individuals we serve. We provide COBRA, Premium Only, Flex and HRA administration and prepaid Smart Cards. CIC is one of only five Michigan insurance agencies who are members of United Benefit Advisors (UBA). As a member of UBA, we offer our clients sophisticated tools and information needed to manage your plan costs as well as national benchmarking analysis to assist in benefit design planning and strategies for today and tomorrow

Brian Coté, with over 20 years of experience in the medical and healthcare profession, brings a wealth of practical understanding and familiarity to the health insurance world. As a state licensed health care consultant, Brian has become a sought after benefit consultant and speaker for many businesses and professional organizations and recognized as the top/​most relevant educator.

Over the past 15 years, Brian has built a successful, full-​service employee benefits firm, one of the few dually licensed agencies and third party administrators in Michigan. In addition, Brian’s diverse background in healthcare, along with business and human resources, range from working with Mayo Healthcare Systems in Rochester, Minnesota to working with Fortune 500 companies such as Dow Chemical.
