Specialties

The Mean Pig started in a trailer across the street from our current location in 1997. We were there for two years before we moved to our current location in June of 1999. The bussiness is operated by the Owner (Buddy) his wife (Lori) and his entire family. We cook approximately 2000 lbs. of meat each week. We’ve had the opportunity to serve many well known names both in the store and at other locations. Those include Billy Bob Thornton, Andy Griffith, The Entire band of Aerosmith, Former Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor, Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Current Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe, The Band Chicago, the entire Cast and Crew of Cirque de Soleil during the Delirium tour in Little Rock.

History

Established in 1997.

We regularly send barbecue to our deployed service members in Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and other countries. We have been featured locally on Pam’s Picks on Channel 7, Travel in Arkansas on Channel 11, 103.7 The Buzz, and most recently, The Travel Channel’s Man V. Food. We love what we do, getting to work with our family every day, and we give God all of the credit for our success. Without him we wouldn’t be able to get up every morning and do what we do. And a big thanks to our customers and supporters, we appreciate you more than you can imagine. Without all of you we would be nothing. Thanks.

Have been in business since 1 Apr 97, My wife Lori my Son Chad own and operate the business. We have been featured on Travel Channels «Man vs Food» because of our «Shut Up Juice». It’s a extremely hot sauce, served on a medium sandwich. Eat it and follow some basic rules. You win. We serve up approx 2−21÷2 tons of Smoked meats a week… Which includes Pork, Beef, Pork Ribs. We also serve up specials, Smoked Meat Loaf, Smoked Mac and Cheese, topped with freshly smoked bacon, loaded smoked potato, Smoked wings, these are just a few of our specials… Come on by and check us out. We strive for perfection !!
