Sunset Marina and Resort is the première vacation destination on Dale Hollow Lake. Our main service dock features everything a boater could ask for. Onboard we have a complete Ship’s Store with boat and cottage rentals, fishing supplies, sportswear, souvenirs, groceries, and much more. The full-​service Marina also offers a 12-​pump fuel island, pump-​out services, air hoses for inflatables, boat service and maintenance, and so much more. Sunset’s crew is ready to assist you in making your Dale Hollow Lake vacation a memorable one. All services are available on Sunset’s 23,000 square feet floating service dock. History

Established in 1949.

Established in 1949 Mr. And Mrs. Lloyd Harrison, originally from Tennessee, were living in Detroit, Michigan, where Lloyd was an executive in the automotive industry. While traveling through the North-​woods of Canada, Lloyd visited a resort called «Sunset». He enjoyed his stay there so much that he decided to name his establishment «Sunset Dock». In November 1993, Mrs. Harrison decided to sell to Mr. Tony Sloan of Albany, Kentucky. Mr. Tom Allen came aboard as General Manager, and Sunset Dock became Sunset Marina and Resort. The rustic cabins are still one of Sunset’s greatest attractions, along with the cottages overlooking the cove and the old dock. Sunset’s Marina and floating Restaurant were completed in June 1994, and was in operation for just over two years when it was destroyed by fire on November 13, 1996. Construction on the present-​day Marina and floating Restaurant began immediately, and it was fully operational by July 1997.
