This place needs to be rated a 5 star dive bar. Cheap drinks, cheap food, and the atmosphere certainly ain’t classy. Think of Toby Keith’s song«I love this bar». Paid $ 5 for a captain & coke. Got drunk off of 1. Can I have a little coke w/my captain? Ha! Had to have a friend drive me back to their place & sleep it off. Had to get my car in the morning. I was not anticipating nor seeking getting drunk that night. Playing pool here is very cheap 2 tables and 75 cents per game. It’s a local townie bar known for its pizza. Greasy spoon menu, burgers & fried food. If your looking for an around the corner t shirt & jeans place for quick one & watch a few sloppy drunk chicks on a Saturday night. This place is your winner.

Lousy service. First of all, we arrived and no one seated us. Once of the customers actually told us that we could sit anywhere. One would think that there would be signage saying that. We did not see a sign. To give them the benefit of a doubt, we could have just not seen it. A waitress that came over and took our drink orders said she was going off duty and if we were ready to order she would take it and give it to the one who would be our waitress. Well… we never saw that person until she delivered the food, which I might add here took an unusual long time to get.(perhaps the fried clam order took a while. don’t know)…she asked us if we needed anything else then she disappeared! She became a ghost. We had to ask for the check from another person, wait again for several minutes for her to go get it… wait again several more minutes to give her our payment, even went up to the man sitting at the desk(After waiting for quite a while!) and he said the waitress had to take it. This other waitress finally came and took our payment. Might add here… our waitress NEVER came back to us. The food… I had ordered a fish sandwich. Good size, and fresh… but not very hot. It was warm enough to eat but should have been hotter. The French Fries were very«limpy». Not crispy at all and they were warm not hot! Would we go back again… absolutely not!

Some of the best places present themselves as a dive or townie bar. Trading Post is no exception. Great pizza served up here and every time I pay a visit to the in-laws I grab a couple rolling rocks with a short glass while I wait for my pie. Locals are friendly and all around a good time. I leave happy.

Okay so I came here for the first time with a few friends and the service was awful. The man at the keno table eyed me all night and made me feel very uncomfortable. My friends wanted to play pool and so did I so I got up and was stopped saying that j wasn’t aloud near the pool tables because I was 20. Meanwhile I have to sit at the table filled with pitchers of beer and drinks. An idiot made that rule obviously. My friends were told they would get kicked out if another ball after one time came off of the pool table. Everyone was rude and we were barely checked on to see if we were okay. The old guy at the keno table was a piece. He needs to leave. I will never go here again and I advise everyone reading this not to go there either. We all work in the restaurant industry and can say that we could see that a crazy natzi drunk ass started this shithole. I was sold when I saw a very drunk guy stumbling and slurring his words to a worker with his 7 year old boy by his side be able to leave and drive that child home when he clearly was unstable.

It’s a bar with food and rude bartenders. I never cared for the place, but that’s just me. I am a fair critic

Well it was a simple order today and it was carried out superbly. I had the shrimp plate which was amazingly priced at $ 10.50 and I waited for it such a short time. It was just perfect, and entirely it’s own place’s creation. Lightly salted but superbly covered and a taste all it’s own. An excellent set of fries came through with it and I cannot rate this spot any higher, it must be mentioned with the best of the area.

Reminds me of the Canal Café when Yolanda was around. Not exactly the place to take your first date, but easily a place to hit after a long days work. Bar food done to a bars standards(foods always better after a few beers). I think this is where people come after retirement but before Florida and they LOVE keno(and soft food like chowder and fish sandwiches) Good Pizza

Good food and drink in a comfortable old timey lounge. I like that most of the ambient light is from the neon beer signs! This reminds me of the old Town Spa on Porter St in Stoughton. Good pizza and pub grub and reasonable prices. This is a locals hangout so their won’t be any bimmer station wagons outside, mostly pick up trucks.

Another of my Cape favorites. Food is sometimes uneven but when it’s good it’s very good! Definitely a local bar and even better when the Sox are on the big TV.

It is what it is, decent food at a good price. Keno, couple of pool tables. It’s ok to bring your kids in if it is a reasonable hour, it’s not really a bar feel more of the hanging out in the basement of your house feel.
