Stopped in for a quick drink with my wife on our way home and ended up staying and having their«2 for 1» pizza special. Excellent drinks — bartender Tiffany was new but so friendly and attentive. Pizzas were 14″ and packed with toppings! Nice comfortable, welcoming crowd– would definitely stop by again when in area.

Not sure why it’s listed as closed. We went in two nights in a row and had a blast. I liked the atmosphere and staff were super friendly. Nachos are not usually my favorite but they made them good. We also had the bar pizza and that was great. Would highly recommend for apps. and drinks.

First off, the interior is quite run down, dark, and uninviting. Quite opposite of the quaint, homey appearance of the exterior. I decided to try this place out with a group of friends one night and had been enjoying the live music for an hour or two when we were approached by a man that promptly took our beer pitcher and two full shots that were sitting on the table and brought them to the bar then proceeded to make a scene and started yelling at us. Of course we were quite taken aback and confused. We finally discerned that he was accusing us of stealing drinks from the bar which was obviously impossible seeing that we had payed for each drink before they were even handed to us. The man then began pushing us out of the building while telling us to never come back. The drinks they took from us were still mostly full so we lost all the money we had spent on those drinks. They basically stole our money then kicked us out. Needless to say I will never return to this bar and am recommending to anyone that is considering going here that they should most definitely find some other place that actually respects their customers.

I have been going here for a few years now. Great and friendly staff. Good food and drink. They have plenty of flat screen tvs to catch various sports games.

The Buzzards Bay Tavern has stayed in place for 3 years now. If you are looking for a QUICK bite, then move on. However, if you have some time, this place is excellent! The staff is very friendly and the establishment is spotless. We have eaten our way through the menu and found all food to be excellent! The burgers are Angus and flavorful as can be. The summer specials are wonderful, and the drinks very«hearty». It is not uncommon for the cook to come out to the dining room and speak to the patrons, looking for honest reviews of his works. Jim Parker, kudos to you for anchoring this end of Main street with your bar and grill. We love it and will certainly be longtime customers, especially during the long winter when other places close down, you are here for us! Please keep up the home style cooking! We love the friendliness of your bar and grill!

We ate here in early August 2011. I am a very picky eater and thought the food was fabulous!

I am so glad that someone started a review of this place. This was seriously the worst meal we’ve ever ever ever had. The only redeeming thing was that the staff was friendly. My husband ordered a turkey dinner and the turkey was rancid. We could immediately smell it when it was put on the table. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and brought out another turkey dinner with fresh turkey. Lo and behold, I wondered why they didn’t just serve the fresh turkey first instead of trying to pass off bad turkey. My son got the wrong thing. And a medium well burger came out practically mooing on the plate. This place is a joke.

Okay, I lied, I’ve been back, and I will admit, it’s a great place to have a drink with friends. Be wary of the food, though it has been getting better. Just have a drink or two before you order any food so your taste buds don’t revolt. And go with a friend.

Shoddy redux of BBQ by the Bay that formerly inhabited this place. The Port O Call with food, only louder and full of knuckleheads. Went after the Pats game and just had a burger, it took forever to come out and there was one other person eating so not like the kitchen was slammed. Ordered it medium rare(I know, what a gambler!) and it came out well done; it was tiny and the fries were not cooked all the way through. Waitress was nice and attentive which was the only plus here. The patrons were loud, f-bombing galoots. I thought I was drinking in the woods in high school. All in all, a white trash bar with a half hearted attempt at food. Vegas odds on this lasting until January are 1 in 6.

My husband and I had dinner here a few nights ago and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the service and the atmosphere. It’s clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, and the food was very good. I had a cold pasta primavera special, and my husband had the BBQ chicken — and we were both very happy with our orders. The staff was friendly, and as a local resident, I am looking forward to trying it again. BTW, they’ve only been open a few weeks, so they are probably still working out the kinks.

How do I even begin to start… after spending a day supporting my boyfriend who was riding in the Pass Mass Challenge, a group of 10 of us decided to treat him to a dinner of his choice. After deciding to go here because of their advertised pulled pork sandwich, we were nicely suprised by other options on their specials board. That nice surprise quickly turned to disaster when our server couldn’t seem to get anything right for the whole service. First off, she didn’t know any of the specials, we had to tell her what was on the specials. Second of all, it took about 20 mins to get 1 iced tea for one at the table. 3rd, our server kept making excuses about everything. Fourth, how does a tavern NOT have 1 lemon in the whole establishment? Hold up, did I mention that the pulled pork sandwich was a cajun pulled pork? Fifth, they didn’t have any options for vegetarians! I give the credit for coming up with a grilled cheese sandwich for one of us, but seriously, it cost us 7 dollars for something I could have thrown together in 30 seconds! The food was average at best, the service was horrible at best, and the atmosphere was something you would expect from a place going out of business… maybe something that is best for a business that struggles to keep iced tea brewed on a hot day. I will give them credit for giving a discount for participants in the Pan Mass Challenge, but they should have given the participant a free meal since they are giving up their bodies for a cause much greater than any service they provide. What made up for the lack of satisfaction in this establishment was the fact that I was able to spend time with great friends, and of course have this story to share with as long as we all will remember it… which will be for a long time.
