False advertising — No wifi as opposed to what they claim, Extremely rude staff, Noisy w/​highway traffic, Overall dirty, dusty, dated & dingy. Motel 8 for same $ is much better. Wish I could give zero stars!

This is definitely a solid 2-​star motel right off the I-​5. We were on the road side which was very noisy with trucks traveling down the frontage road for night parking. However, it worked just fine for us as we were just traveling through and needed a place to sleep. I requested a downstairs room and that’s what we got. Our rate was a little over $ 57 for the night.
The rooms are small but adequate for what we needed. There was one king bed in the room and a chair — no room for desk or table. It had been freshly painted but obvious no special care was taken as the painter painted over the edges of the fixtures. The room was clean. Sheets were thin and wrinkled but freshly washed.
Furnishings were very dated with an older TV set but for the night it worked. A coffee pot was in the room but only plastic cups and no coffee cups. There also was no coffee to go along with the coffee pot. That I wasn’t pleased with.
Breakfast was available but we didn’t check it out. I can’t say staff was friendly or unfriendly. Check-​in with attendant went smooth but person wasn’t particularly inviting.

If cleanness matters to you, don’t bother. If tv reception or hi-​def matter, don’t bother.
I feel like I’m in a time capsule from 1988 where truck stop hookers and their Johns from over the fence visit daily and the rate should be by hour, not per night. I’m definitely going to scrub with pomace and iodine from head to toe as soon as I arrive home.
Those taller than 5’2″ will have a challenge using the shower with complementary dirty towel left on the floor next to. It will help if yoga or the limbo are in your skill set in order to contort yourself to feel the flow of water in the upper regions of your body. Towels are not their thing either. They resemble postage stamps more than an effective tool for drying yourself.
So, there you go. You’ve officially been warned. I wish *I’d* looked at Unilocal before check in.

Although 1 star is being too generous. Rude front desk guy, check. Boiling hot room in the middle of summer because they don’t cool the room, check. Air conditioner that never cools the room, also check. But to top it off the bed had apparently just been remade because it away filled with hair that did not belong to us.
When I brought this to managements attention, they told me that they never pre-​cool the room. They eventually moved me to another room which was equally warm and dirty. In this one the fridge was unplugged and smelling.
You really get even less than you pay for here. I am honestly concerned about getting sick or bed bugs from this place. …
As I wrote this some kind of insect just landed on my arm. To hell with it, I’m outta here.

First thing she charged me an extra $ 11.00 for additional person and said I only booked a single room when I had booked a double, gave attitude. Bait and switch. The room was clean but there was only one tiny towel and one hand towel. This barely rates a 1 star. I didn’t even dare try the «free» breakfast. The tables were dirty and I just turned around and left the dining area. I would pay more for a nicer place next time. Did I mention the area smelled like manure, the circus was not in town but the smell was! The wifi actually worked… there is the only plus.

ZERO STARS. NONE. NOT ONE AT ALL. Absolutely filthy. Smells disgusting, bathroom was dirty (someone’s old contacts on the floor, dirty shower, someone’s hair on the floor), desk attendant was rude, tried to charge me extra for another adult sharing the room and said my online booking wasn’t valid, made me sign an agreement saying no refunds would be issued (had I seen reviews or the room before paying I would honestly rather have slept in my car), and then ran my credit card charging more than he told me the room would be, saying the rooms at that rate were all take up. I can’t believe I paid actual American dollars to stay in this cess pool, not even worth 15 rupees.

Not worth staying here unless you want bad service, infested rooms, and sheets that look like they were obtained second hand from a brothel.

Horrible hotel. Do not recommend. Smelly dirty dusty. Unfriendly staff. Old small. Old smelt rug. Bed bugs. Need to call health department. Continental breakfast is a joke. Horrible coffee. Frozen honey buns. Churn flakes w no sugar. Sour orange juice. And you musty eat it in three office. Cant enjoy breakfast in three room. Left there with a sore throat from all the dust n horrible angel. No ac. Heater was old and loud couldn’t sleep. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Just horrible.

After reading the reviews (after I checked in) I regret staying here. The room looks okay not super clean, I refuse to look under the covers (I am hoping there is no bed bugs), the heater doesn’t work, the only clean part of the room is the bathroom. It does smell weird but the whole town does. I’m glad that I have blankets and pillows in my car.
The front lady was rude over the phone and said the rooms are first comes first serve, I only called to make sure I would have a room. When I arrived it was the man in the front and he was a bit nicer. He also came to fix the heater and says it should be working soon.

Old Place. A bit pricey for the room. Heat is not working. Pulled back the covers to get in bed and warm up and found sheets were wholly. Desk staff was rude little rude on arrival. Big mistake staying here.

This was a horrible stay. We didn’t get light bulbs in half the lights till the last day, they never made the second bed, the towels were dirty before we even got a chance to use them, the shower was made for people 5 foot or shorter, the shower door didn’t close, the water constantly went from boiling to freezing, the bathroom door didn’t close, the toilet didn’t flush properly, the AC took forever to cool down the room, the phone kept ringing at all hours of the night with no one on the other end, the pool was very dirty, the continental breakfast was severely lacking, we were provided with shampoo, but no conditioner, there was very limited television and we were only allowed two buckets of ice. We would have rated it less if we could. The beds were right up against the wall making it very difficult for two people to sleep comfortably. We will NOT be going back.

OK, I know this is Buttonwillow with 5 places to stay, and I think I chose the worst. Checked in late. Overcharged, and when I went to the room, it was dirty with the previous customers soap, sheets and keycard still in it. I had to get more towels and soap, to get a shower with a door that didn’t close. They upcharge you for a room not facing the freeway or truck stop. They charged me more that what I was quoted. To be fare, they refunded the difference when I confronted them, but $ 50 is too much for a room that I’m sure sure I didn’t pick something up from the sheets. Didn’t bring flip-​flops and this is not a place to walk barefoot. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.
Go elsewhere.

We booked here because they claimed to allow pets free but then they charged us $ 30 extra.
I’ve killed four large roaches in our room in the past hour.
The refrigerator wasn’t plugged in, and now doesn’t seem to be working at all.
And lastly, while it’s triple digits and bone dry in the Central Valley, the night shift automaton gave us a room with no A/​C then disappeared.
$ 72 for this? Just awful.

Minus 5 stars. Run for your life. Yes cheap but come on. Have a little respect. Pool is green. Heard there are bed bugs. None of the pictures are anywhere correct. Breakfast bar is small and filthy.

I knew what I was getting into, but I like a minor stop over when driving south with the little ones. So, I booked a room for a set price. However, the company send a confirmation for my room but not the associate costs that I booked.
When I get there, and the lady tried to make me pay and extra $ 10 and blame it on the computer. I told her that I would go get my phone to show her my price (it was a bluff), so she knocked it down the the price I reserved. I arrived late when it was dark so there were no lights on in the common way. I had a real hard time opening the door. The room was adquate and expected given the low price, but the heater didn’t keep a constant temperature. A fellow traveler’s heater didn’t work at all.
The continental breakfast was fine, but 6:30am to 8:45am, is a short time period. But, we got up and had hot waffles (the only reason for the the second star).
Given the price, it is what is expected. But watch your bill and get up early to eat.

If we need a place to stay on the I-​5, I’m normally not needing something fancy — just a place to rest for a few hours before making it all the way to my destination. But I do need it to be clean and comfortable; and that’s what we found at this location.
We price shopped between the Motel 6 and Econolodge, and picked the cheaper of the two (EconoLodge $ 57.11) — we didn’t even check price for the rival Super 8 up the road. It was $ 57.11 for two people, single King bed room (room 232). The room was clean, toilet paper, tissues and soap were properly stocked. The windows kept the room dark so that we could rest a little while. The bed was comfortable –ish. Definitely not a Marriott, but there were lots of pillows and it was quiet.
I showered before we got back on the road and the shower was also clean. We filled a bag with ice from their ice machine for an ankle I had injured earlier that morning. Service was friendly during check-​in and also when we left our room key and checked-​out a few hours later.
Note: Breakfast served 6:30 — 8:45 a.m.; Free wifi for guests; Checkout at 11 a.m.

You don’t get what you don’t pay for.
This place is cheap. Extremely flat pillows, small room, small bed, and there’s a distinct, musky aroma you can smell even through the waft of industrial bleach. At night, you’ll be serenaded by the constant sound of big rigs and road noise.
On a plus note, they do have plenty of parking, a microwave & a refrigerator :)
Their website reads, «All rooms also have microwave and refrigerators, hot tubs, curved shower rods, hair dryers and sofa sleepers.» Our room did NOT have a hot tub OR a sofa sleeper.

This place is Satan’s butthole. So dirty and the Indian lady here is so damn rude! There is pubic hair in the bed and in the shower! I am so grossed out! DO NOT COME HERE. STAY AT MOTEL 6 closest to the freeway! Knights Inn is 2^nd! But if you prefer cleanliness, go further to a 3 – 4 star hotel! This place is disgusting! NEVER AGAIN!
