Established in 2015.

We are so thrilled to have opened our clinic this year. It has been a long time coming, and the stars have just aligned to bring you a place to support your journey to better health.

Meet the Business Owner

Ariel D.

Business Owner

Hailing from sunny San Diego, Ariel Deva de León received her BA in Community Studies with a focus on Resistance and Social Movements, and a Master of Science from Tri-​State College of Acupuncture in Manhattan. At Tri-​State she studied under renowned teachers such as Kiiko Matsumoto, Emilie Connor and Mark Seem. The three styles of acupuncture taught at TSCA (KM, TCM and APM) give Ariel a flexibility of treatment possibility.

Ariel completed an internship at the Integrative Therapies Program in Pediatric Oncology at New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, as well as postgraduate specialization in Orthopedics and Rehabilitation with Andrew Nugent-​Head. After graduation, Ariel worked at WorkSong Chinese Medicine in Greenpoint, where a high patient volume gave her her sea legs. Finding and working in a community acupuncture practice brought Ariel full circle in terms of incorporating the theories of social movement and social justice into her own practice. I have been having acupuncture here since it opened in July and I am so happy it is in the neighborhood! When I first started coming I had never had acupuncture before but was instantly put at ease and felt very comfortable and relaxed in the space. I have been seeing Casey and she is just wonderful. I have been treated for my back and hip pain during pregnancy and I have left every time feeling refreshed and renewed. She understands the aches and pains of pregnancy and has a calming energy to her. I have also seen Rebekah and she is also great! She really helped to release some deep pain I had in my hips and I could not be happier. I definitely recommend this place to everyone, especially if you are new to acupuncture!

This is an amazing place! I have been getting acupuncture treatments from Ariel for 2 years now, but until recently it was my little secret and services were in her home. Now it’s for real. The new community clinic means there are extended hours and therefore more appointments available. The price is also the lowest you will find anywhere in the city and the quality is as good as it gets. I’ve been getting acupuncture regularly for ten years, in both Chicago and New York, and I go to Ariel at Tigerlily! She is so passionate. I am so excited about this new community acupuncture clinic she has opened. My experience at the community clinic was just as intimate and wonderful as the treatments I received in her home. I highly recommend this place.

I started weekly community acupuncture after developing some joint pain this past year, and Casey is by far the best practitioner I have seen– She is extremely knowledgeable, and her treatments are highly individualized and the most effective I have had in terms of reducing my physical symptoms and my overall stress and anxiety. Her relaxed, warm demeanor also really puts you at ease, and the new location is beautiful– I cannot recommend Casey and this place highly enough!

I was so excited to see that there was a new acupuncture place in town, as I had been seeking one out for the previous few weeks. I had never tried acupuncture before, so went in with few expectations other than working on some areas of tension and stress. Ariel, the owner, took great care of me and made sure to focus on just that in my session.
The space is beautiful, high ceilings and white exposed brick — really sets a great atmosphere for a relaxing environment. After she lodged the needles, I laid on the table for 30 – 40 minutes and took a rest. I walked out feeling very calm and spent my day feeling the same. I will definitely be a returning visitor.
With that said, oh — and not to mention the sliding scale of $ 20-​$ 45 — I encourage Bushwickians, Brooklynites and outside borough peeps to come through for some divine needle-​poking and napping.

I’d never had acupuncture, but wanted to try it especially since I had injured myself during a yoga headstand two days earlier. I had serious pain on one side of my neck, and it even hurt when I took deep breaths. I explained these symptoms exactly, and Rebekah listened and evaluated appropriately.
She was very thorough and I really appreciated her explaining everything to me. After laying there for a while, she still felt tension in my neck area, and helped release the pain points by relocating the needles. Right when she did that, I felt my skin twitch involuntarily and the shooting pain immediately surfaced, so I knew that the muscle tension and pain had been released.
The space is really beautiful, nice natural lighting, and a very calm vibe, super clean and minimalist-​looking. It’s also pay what you want (between $ 20 – 45). I would definitely pay more on the higher end of the scale because they know what they’re doing. I am a little sore now, but Rebekah said that was to be expected, and to come back in a couple of days if the pain is still there. She was very nice, calm, and professional.
TL;DR — Highly recommended. Would definitely go back!
