B’Way Apartments

We hate to have to post this because Danny was great, but we’re afraid that this company is either too disorganized to be a proper business or is a blatant scam! We were really proactive in our apartment search and put a deposit on somewhere by the first of the month before we had to move. We were approved, but by the time we got to the lease signing, the owner informed is that he was planning on putting in an addition and increasing our rent by $ 1000 a month. We then had to start over in our apartment search and after a lot of runaround were given a check for our deposit, dated 2 weeks in advance because the owner was «out of the country.» When we did deposit the check on the date written on the check, a stop payment was put on the check. When we tried calling, we were promptly hung up on and our subsequent calls went unanswered. Please stay away!

After a month of having no luck finding an apartment that fir my standards I a came across this company and an Agant named Joshua on Craigslist. Not only did they have GRAET property to chose from the agent was extremely profession and dealt my bi polar needs. Lol. It took a week or so to get in my apt and get the process over but the office manager (Christina I believe) and Joshua were completely transparent with me and saw it through to the end. Over all they turned my horrible experience searching for an apt into a more pleasurable one. It’s worth noting they do not charge a broker fee either!!! THANKS B WAY

So in reading the other reviews I had to say something. Deposits or money back is never an issue unless you sign paper work that is legally binding !!! I got my first apartment through b-​way, Danny was helpful and they have a ton of listings. What’s different about b-​way then other places is the quality standards for the Apts they show. They must know the building owners because I hear so many friends try to get Apts through other places in Bushwick and once they move I. they realize they have roaches or rats. It’s sad. real estate in NYC is never easy but with b-​way you always know whatever apt they show is you is clean and doesn’t have any problems you find out about later down the line. GO here!!! I wouldn’t go to any other management for my apartment search ever. They care about the clients and would never have listings that aren’t transparent.

My experience with B’Way Apartments was really great — I needed a space ASAP, and Joshua was very accommodating. He responded to my incredibly annoying text messages promptly, and made sure to follow through with the status of my application and the move-​in date. I submitted an application, signed my lease and moved in all within two weeks!

I had a really great experience with them! I needed an apartment ASAP, and the two agents I worked with – Cable and Xandra – followed through, and the process was completely painless. I have lived in Brooklyn for ten years now, and this was the easiest move I have been through. I owe them a lot of thanks!

B’Way Apartments was very helpful and accommodating to my need of a quick move. The office manager and the two agents I worked with were great!

Just wanted to leave an updated review here — they did end up giving me my deposit back. It took about 2 weeks total and after speaking with the office manager (who really is sweet btw) I’ve determined that they really didn’t have the intention of scamming me. They just unfortunately aren’t great with communication. Overall though, this company is legit.

Resolved my issues with Bway apartments… Sometimes if you speak loud enough people will hear you.

Placed an application for an aprtment 204 macdonough, brooklyn, ny. After viewing, headed over to the office. I should have known the shadiness. No office sign, no name anywhere. We gave a 1 month down deposit to take the listing off… after 2 days it becomes relisted. Deposit cashed out and and application reject. This ia fine… but the refund is not in our hands yet after 2 weeks of calling and emailing. Continuous run around… if you find yourself dealing with Bway Apartments. Head straight out the door! They are a Ponzi scheme!
