Magic Nails Salon

Peter is my favorite technician. He always paints my nails to perfection and my no-​chip always lasts a very long time when he does it. It’s a very clean, and nice nail salon. Iv had most of the staff do my mani/pedi’s and they are all great (but Peter is the best)

Magic Nails was recommended to me from someone who has been going here a long time. It is clean. I see Vy. She is very good. She does my nails (I do the pink & white acrylic nails) and pedicures. I have never had my nails done like this before but they are beautiful and strong!!! I will go nowhere else anymore. Most every other place I have gone to, except for Cora’s Nails in North Riverside, I have contracted toenail fungus. Yuck! Magic Nails is clean. Clean. Clean.

I walked into the place last week around 11:30. When I arrived at the shop I was greeted by someone and asked to picked a color. The shop looked clean, the seats were comfortable, and the décor was pretty. The girl who did my pedicure was young, didn’t talk to me. As she was cutting my toe nail she tried to clip it but it didn’t cut all the way so she just ripped it off with her finger. It was ripped so down pass my nail line that it really hurt. As I said something to her she just sat there and smiled. Like she didn’t know what was wrong. I just wanted to leave. I paid for my pedicure and asked for change. They said they only had 5 bills and no singles. You don’t take a tip on credit cards and don’t have change. You ripping my toenail down to the stump is not worth a 5.00 tip. #sorrynotsorry
I will never stop by here again! Looks pretty but service sucks!

I have been going to MN for 6 months now for pedicures and no chip French manicures. I am usually very picky with the service and are not willing to overpay either. I usually see Linda for manicures and today I had Kim, for pedicures I don’t really care too much. They have been doing a fantastic job on my nails, and even though they might be a tiny bit more expensive than some whole in the wall places, they are clean, pleasant and professional environment. I always call for an appointment though, even if it is within one hour and never have to wait too long for the service.

I didn’t like the No Chip manicure I received from this Magic Nails. The boy who provided my service, sporting a large dragon tattoo extending the length of his arm, had a very strange attitude and wanted to cut corners throughout the experience. For example instead of removing the remaining polish from the prior No Chip with foil he wanted to file and buff it off. When he thought he was done and moving on to the next step, I pointed out areas where polish was still remaining, and he became irritated when he saw I was dissatisfied but after I insisted, finally proceeded with the more gentle and effective foil removal method. After he applied my polish, I asked him why it looked unfinished and he said «It’s because the color is light», which insulted my intelligence because the color I chose was brown. He obviously thought I would go along with that excuse. I said «No, it’s customary procedure for the manicurist paints the end of the nail as a finishing touch.» He then proceeded to paint the end of the nail, giving it two coats which made it look heavy on the end of the nail. It’s clear that these people do not have as high standards. They take a very long time and the end result is not as good as other Magic Nails’ in the area.

Been going for years and always have a good experience at Magic. This is the newest location and they do a great job just like the other locations.

It takes a lot to disappointment me, I try and give the benefit of doubt.
I sat and waited in a chair for 25 minutes when I was told there was no wait. It seemed they only wanted to deal with people getting mani and pedi. I was then told someone from the other location is coming to help. I said if they aren’t here in 5 in leaving. They arrived and again couldn’t more distant in my pedi. It hurt because he was rushing. I get a basic or spa pedicure and he rushed through it without scrubbing my heals or even putting separators on my toes or even showing me where to dry my toes when he was done. I don’t get fancy designs just a simple pedi but I should still be treated as a paying customer.

Just had the worst experience at a nail salon ever! Inexperienced pedicurist who made my toe bleed a lot, the manager was rude and did not care. They are notorious for not honoring appointments. would not recommend this place to any one. Bad service and rude people!!!

Great pedicure at a reasonable price. Salon seemed very clean and everyone was very polite.
