Class-​time is where we not only train, but we better ourselves, support each other, challenge one another, and become skilled. This art is effective in a myriad of situations and scenarios with simple techniques for the practitioner, but most of all it teaches the practitioner to be adaptive to situations, and respond quickly to threats. My goal is to spread the art of Ping Shen Tao to as many people as possible. I have been a practitioner of the arts most of my life and have never lost my love or fascination for the martial arts diversity. Truly, this is an art that anyone can learn and be effective in.

How many years have they trained in the arts ?

Does the instructor still take lessons as a student from a Senior Instructor?

Is the school part of a established organization?

Do they mind if you contact the organization to verify?

Does the Dojo follow an established system of teaching?

Does the Dojo teach sport karate or an established system of self-​defense?

Do they offer a free trial membership?

Is the training hall cleaned regularly (rugs, mats, pads, bathrooms)?

Are the students disciplined and respectful, but still having fun?

Talk to the students, watch a class or two.

Mr. Pence is recognized Internationally by the World Martial Arts Federation (WMAF) and the Martial Arts Research Institute (MARI) as a 6^th Dan in Kempo Karate and holding the rank of 3^rd level Inst. in South East Asian Arts with Guro Michael Williams at Martial Arts Research Institute as well as being recognized by the Depasquale Jiu Jitsu as a 3 degree black belt of Yoshitsume Jiu Jitsu.
