History

Established in 2010.

Having spent a 32 year career in the legal field, I realized my passion was for my birds. I decided to leave that career and start my own business — actually, in the basement of my dad’s home! It was scary! I quickly grew and had to move into a larger building in Burlington Township. In 2014, I was contacted by a realtor regarding the building at 612 Tyler Street. I put in a bid, it was accepted and we moved to our final 28,000 sf location on Tyler Street!

My original career was in the legal field. Birds were my passion. As noted in the MSBS history, I left that career and started My Safe Bird Store in the finished basement of my dad’s home. Within 3 months, I grew out of the basement and ended up taking over half of his home! It was time to leave, so I moved into a rented location in Burlington Township;. I was lucky enough to stumble upon my current building being up for sale and was able to purchase it in 2014. I have 9 birds of my own, from conures to macaws. I simply love them!
