History

Established in 1994.

Colleen Montgomery and Marcia Merrill started Montgomery & Merrill in 1994 to provide accounting and tax services and, a few years later, Kathy Granai joined the firm, becoming a shareholder in 2013. The practice has grown to serve a range of clients, including individuals, businesses and non profit organizations. Many of our individual clients are self employed or have some business or rental income.

I feared accountants like I feared the dentist… but when starting a small business, it’s sort of imperative that you go to one.
I dragged my feet for a while but I finally chose Montgomery & Merrill.
One reason I chose them is that M&M is an all female accounting firm– how often do you see that? They’re recommended by the women’s small business groups. Also the first consultation is free. Which is awesome.
Going there is like going to see a wise older sister, I’ve been seen by both Kathy and Colleen and they both do great jobs. When I’m super overwhelmed I can usually take a breather and pet someone’s dog because usually there’s one there.
Also the atmosphere is great– clean, professional, but not stuffy. The office is right downtown and really convenient to get to. I really can’t say enough great things about these ladies. They’re a business owning woman’s best friend.
