I went to have a dress hemmed and also for dry cleaning. I did not like either service. I was not given a chance to try on the dress and then when I got home, realized it was still too long and touching the floor(they had measured me too and I was wearing the same shoes). I decided not to even go back. I went to Four Corners Cleaners and Tailors in Woburn and they were better — very nice and knowledgeable and provide a greener cleaning which is done onsite.

Maria is the best. We had 3, 2 piece bridesmaids dresses altered by Maria. She did a great job on alterations of both the top and the bottom. Also she did a great job on the bustles on the dresses. They all came out very nice. The other bridesmaids got their dresses altered at various other places and they were holding up their dresses all night on the top and their bustles did not fall nicely like ours and their dresses didn’t seem appropriate lenghts either(too long). On a sidenote Maria even instructed us the proper way to put on one of those weird strapless bras so that when she altered the dress it would fit properly with the bra. I believe she even altered my mother in law’s dress too. Price was very reasonable! She is great. I would recommend her to anyone! She knows her stuff. Oh yeah and I believe she has been there for many many years.

If you need a seamstress there is none better than Maria! Maria — gets 5 stars! The dry cleaning portion we use all the time, but it is no better than any other… They get 4 Stars.

I recently moved to Burlington and I needed to find a place to fit a bridesmaids dress for me. I found Maria’s on Unilocal and decided to try her out. Overall, she did an okay job. I had her take in the straps and hem the double layer skirt. I asked how long it would take and she said about 4 weeks! I was surprised, but luckily I had plenty of time. This was during the summer, so I guess she was pretty busy with wedding dresses. When I came to pick it up a month later, the straps were fine but the hem seemed a little crooked. It wasn’t bad enough to be worth mentioning(especially since I’ll never wear the dress after the wedding) but I wasn’t that impressed.

Maria did the alterations for my wedding dress in March 2009. It came out amazing and fit perfectly. And it was very reasonably priced. She did the hem, took it out, fixed the zipper, and then cleaned and steamed the dress so that it was ready for my big day. I was so pleased with how everything came out! It was perfect!
