Lucky Duck Pub

Took my family there last weekend and enjoyed ourselves. Its was quieter than we thought it would be for a pub. The food was good along with the food portions and the price was reasonable.

Quack, quack! I love The Lucky Duck! Service is great and food is awwweessoommmmmmmmeee! Great place to go for a cold beer and hot food. The wings, burgers and taco salad are superb! Atmosphere is laid back.

I have been to Lucky Duck multiple times. We have meetings there periodically for a non-​profit organization I am involved in. The service is always outstanding, servers are kind, and patient. It can be hard to serve a group having a meeting, especially when everyone pays separately. It can be a lot of work, though the servers are always courteous and do a fabulous job.
The food is good, I haven’t tried a lot. I was disappointed that they removed one of my favorite appetizers — hummus and nan bread. I have a limited diet so I like having healthy options that are reasonably priced. My healthy, go-​to item was removed, so bummed on that.
Beer selection is fabulous. Always find something I like there that is usually local. I like that a lot.
My only critique is that the place can get a bit loud, I understand it is a pub, don’t get me wrong. I am mainly stating this for others that might want to gather there. We went on a night that had live music, they came on later in the evening when the meeting was almost over — but it was loud. Even after we were not officially meeting, just hanging having beers, it was still hard to converse because of the sound level.
I like Lucky Duck Pub, and recommend it as a great spot in Boone County, KY.

Lucky Duck has awesome service and really, really good bar food. I like all the sandwiches and salads, and they have the best wings around. A weird thing, but my favorite side, is the grilled broccoli. This dish will make you a broccoli lover! I do not love their fries– they are coated and I hate that, but the sweet potato fries are good and the onion rings, when fried properly, are also delicious. There is a decent tap selection, and a full bar with frequent specials. Best of all, in case I failed to mention it– the owners are nice and welcoming and care about their customers having a good experience. I haven’t had any issues, but when I have seen others have problems, they are always taken care of. This is our go-​to local spot for sports or a casual meal.

We were very excited to go here to dinner, but upon looking at the menu and ordering we were promptly told several times «sorry we don’t have this item anymore it’s at the Taylor Mill location» this happened with at least 5 things that we tried to order. It was very frustrating. Then the most infuriating thing was two of us had ordered the same item (since clearly they only had 6 items at this location because everything else was at the Taylor Mill location) the other person had to wait 10mins for her burger when her and I ordered the SAME exact thing, but I received me and she didn’t get hers. We asked about an up charge from chips to other side items we told to «I don’t think it’s much» oh yes it was…
The amount each of us paid was ridiculous. We didn’t get the food we came in for. Half the food on the menu wasn’t even available. We had to wait longer for the extra burger.
Please, get new menus; it’s very frustrating when you have your heart set on fish and chips and there are no fish and chips and you have to settle for mediocre chicken tenders and up charge of $ 2.50 for fries.
To top it all off… THERE WAS NO TRIVIA
We all literally couldn’t even handle it.
I gave y’all two stars to start out with and then I was writing this and then I just relived everything all over again.
Never have I ever went to a neighborhood pub and paid $ 22 and leave not getting what you want and not even getting alcohol!!!

Great bar and grill. Fairly family friendly early and great drink specials. The food is really good too.

If I could give half a star, I would. The majority of bartenders would love for you to come in one night and drop $ 100, but if you like to speak your mind and be real keep it shut. They will side with their low-​life drug addicted hometown lovers. Don’t come here if you are looking for a hometown boy.

Great atmosphere, clean bar and great servers.
My girlfriend and I will be returning. Try the pickle chips and potato skins. They have an extensive beer selection and it’s extremely affordable.

If I weren’t rating the food I would’ve given 4 stars for the ambiance and service. I went to Lucky Duck for trivia last night (Tuesday night) and it was a lot of fun. It was also pint night so I got to drink a local pumpkin beer and keep the glassware for $ 5. Neat concept.
The food however was nothing to write home about. I got a grilled chicken ranch wrap with a side of Saratoga chips. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything special. And for some reason I felt like there wasn’t even any ranch inside the ranch wrap, so I used someone else’s side of ranch to add some to it.

Service is quick and friendly. The perfect amount of attention. Waitress, Tara, was able to accommodate our needs and requests. She was kind and very helpful. Nice mix of music. Games available — darts, golf, Jenga — large blocks — lots of fun!!! Great BLT — generous amount of crispy bacon with good lettuce not iceberg. Marbled rye bread available. Mac-​n-​cheese very yummy & cheesy.

I absolutely love the Lucky Duck Pub. Everything here is great– Prices, Food, Drinks, Décor, Staff (including the owners!). You wont find a better atmosphere.

Went in for a few beers on a weekday. There were a couple games playing on the TVs with a moderate crowd. Took me a few minutes to order my first drink because of the late service behind the counter. Overall a small easy going pub

On trivia night this is a hell hole! The police need to be here for crowd control!!! Having a family dinner that was very meaningful to my father a woman walked up to us and asked very rudely «are you all gonna leave soon? Or you play trivia or something?» We told the owner and she was truly sorry for the event but she could not control the crowd. The language and constant harassment in the restaurant need police supervision. I would have loved to love this place like I have in the past but I was more concerned about comforting my father.

We went on a Tuesday evening for trivia and arrived a little early. This was the best trivia that I have been to, and I have been to a lot of them. Because we arrived early, they still had some half price appetizers and we started off with some mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. Both appetizers were excellent for a pub. The menu had pizza, chicken, burgers and fries. I ordered some chicken tenders and they were exactly what I expected from a pub. I would definitely go back again.

This has become our Saturday night hang out spot. Such a fun place! On Tuesdays and Saturdays, they have live trivia. The place gets packed. It’s not big prizes (gift cards to LDP), but that’s ok because the food is delicious. It’s pub fare, but good. Sometimes the service is hit or miss. Seems like they’ve had some turnover with the waitresses lately, so a lot of them are still learning the ropes. It just takes longer sometimes, but if you’re playing trivia, you’re there for a while anyway, One nice thing is that the crowd is so varied. You have young, old, families, parties.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Great value for the money and stellar service.
Burgers are amazing but the cod sandwich with sweet potato fries is where it’s at

Pretty good food and beer prices are okay. The service is odd. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s very poor. The owners are very young and are often on site. They seem to hang close with the «regulars» and shun the rest of the customers. They sit and talk/​laugh with s select few and don’t even acknowledge anyone else. Sometimes the wait staff does the same thing. I think this place has potential, but it’s needs to «mature». Also, the urinal in the men’s room is gag-​able.

Came to the bar on a Sunday to watch football with a friend. Food was pretty good and service was decent. My main complaint is the lack of management here on a Sunday. The bar area has 6 tvs and 5 of them were set to the bengals game. I get it we are in an area of bengals fans but 5 of 6 on 1 game? I loved watching the same commercials on all of the tvs instead of watching football. When we first arrived we asked for a specific game on one tv and it was changed for us but then it looked like one of the waitresses friends came in and asked for the bengals game to be on the same tv. It was changed of course in the middle of the game! I also watched the same guy who made this request walk behind the bar to grab himself a cup to use as a dip spitter. When we asked for a manager after our game was changed the waitress said they didn’t have one here today.
I’ve been to this bar many times as I live very close and enjoy the atmosphere but will definitely consider some where else on Sunday to watch football.

Great place to have a drink on Sat because of 2 for 1 beers, shots and alcohol drinks. I really come down here for the drinks and socialize, not really here for the food. If you do like shots, try the Little beers… yummmmmy :-)
