Oh, Lord & Taylor. I wanted to love you, but your high pressure sales tactics coupled with a lack of quality help at the registers really ruined the whole experience. We won’t be back. It was like Nordstrom, only with even less IQ points.

I generally like this department store, but I struggled to find a cashier. Completely disorganized. I went to three different cash registers and was redirected at each back to the other. Cashiers gave me a lot of attitude and proceeded to ignore me. Horrendous custom service.

Went there the first time today, the lighting in the store is so depressing. The cloths are all over the place. They have tons of stuff sitting there but really no display like macy’s. IMO Nordstrom has the best displays hands down but this place is just out of control.
There is really nobody to help around either, waited around men fragrance for good 15 min. for someone to show up but no one did.

We visit this store at least twice a month as there’s always something to see. We usually check on what handbags are on sale and I think we brought quite a few over the past two years. The atmosphere of the place was pretty good as it was bright, clean, and not stuffy.

This store was remodeled approximately 7 years ago and they made it very bright and vibrant.
Great store, very friendly staff and excellent sales. If they don’t have a item in a specific size you are seeking they can attempt to order it for you with zero cost for shipping.
The store has several outside entrances and cosmetics and women’s clothes and shoes are downstairs. Children, intimate apparel and men’s clothing and shoes are on the second level.
Bathrooms are on the second level. Men’s is in the kids department and women’s is in the lingerie section.
Very good coupons of which brands like Polo Ralph Lauren are not excluded. Their store private label is high quality as well.
The only reason for this rating is that it is hard to find a salesperson to pay alot of the time.

The worse store to work for., Manager are rude, disrespectful, not only to the employees, but also to the customers. they talk down to there employees. I do not recommend, store to any young person to work at. Since the Manager feel because you are young, they are able to talk down to you. If you try to take a personal day, they make you feel like you are not allowed to do this. Every place has sick day, personal days, that you are able to take. I feel if you don’t abuse your sick days, or personal days. Why not let you take a sick day. They don’t take the time, to ask you or find out if there something wrong with you. This is why I don’t recommend Lord and Taylor as a place to work for.

I lost my pouch with all me reward and gift cards in it:-(Someone found it and Kathy was nice enough to call a few of the cards in my wallet to track me down. Talbots actually called me to tell me they found it and to call them! Nice of everyone!

I love Lord and Taylor stores for many reasons, but I favor this one as it is my home store. This is my go to store for dresses. I love how there is a large dress section and there is always a sale rack. I have a Lord and Taylor store card, which means I get an extra discount on almost any purchase. To be honest, the prices are not that much higher than Macy’s/JC Penny. They are obviously higher than TJMaxx, but the quality of dresses and the ease of finding a color or style (in my opinion) is what makes this my store. I also shop here for jewelry, shoes and accessories. I tend to stay away from the men’s department, as I can find my husbands clothes for cheaper at other stores, but for me… I know I can come into this store and leave with something I am comfortable with.
I would give this store 5 stars if the prices were cheaper and if there was more parking. Since this store is in a mall in a very busy area, Finding a parking space is never fun.

Impossible to find someone to help you. Had them order shoes for me because they didn’t have my size in stock. Shoes came damaged, and when I brought them in for a refund, I didn’t get so much as «sorry.»

The woman in the baby dept clearly doesn’t understand the term customer service. «Hello, i have 2 small babies with me and I’m trying to find an item» «Could you lend a hand?» on top of that she was rude and told be that I shouldn’t put my twins in matching items. When I asked her to see if there was a product there she looked in the computer so said «we don’t have any more» needless to say a friend went back the next day after hearing how disappointed I was and found the outfit the the woman had said was sold out. They don’t sell anything that I can’t find somewhere else ie Macy’s, Nordstrom. I won’t go back.

I just left this store and I will probably never return.
I wanted to get a coach bag as a Christmas gift so I waited at the counter. The lady tended to a customer at the register and I was to the side, next to the bag that I wanted to purchase. After ringing the ustomer, she looks at me, immedately turns away and tends to somoene else. After that was finished, she leaves the area and starts putting stuff back. I was the only person at the counter then she returns a few minutes later and goes back to prentending that I do not exist. So I left and got a bite to eat at the food court.
I return and go closer to the register. The same lady is there and for the next 10 minutes, proceeded to ignore me the entire time. I left after that and put the rest of my items back.
i dont know if it was because I was wearing sweats, a baseball hat, and a jacket and that disgusted her or maybe she was scared of men but I was completely ignored, like a dog begging for scraps at the dinner table. I went over to Macy’s and got everything I needed in a timely fashion and was tended to quickly.
Its not worth putting up with the lousy and possibly discriminatory service from this place. I know a lot of people write that because they have an axe to grind but I’ve been here several times and have observed the behaviors of the workers. I did not create this account to slam Lord and Taylor and generally receive wonderful customer service from businesses and have empathy towards busy workers at all sorts of places but this visit was inexcusable.

I had a pretty bad experience at the shoe department tonight. I picked up a pair of sandals and asked one of the salespeople if they had it in another color. He merely goes, most likely not. He takes the shoe from me to to look at the bottom and is like, it’s the only pair. So I ask, can you call other stores to see if they have it because i REALLY want it. He’s like, yes, we can do that. 10 minutes later, I walk up to the register to ask if he had any luck. First, he ends up ringing the person who came AFTER I did… then a woman comes up and asks if he had her size and instead of telling her, I’ll be right with you, I’m just with another customer right now… he tends to her.
If that wasn’t the only pair, I would have absolutely left in a crazy rage. I was ridiculous pissed off. I ended up buying the shoe since they apparently don’t have the shoe in any other stores and in any other colors.
Serious thumbs down for Lord & Taylor shoes.
I will say though that the other salespeople seemed to be a lot more friendly and helpful, coming up and asking if I needed help even after I had been «tended’ to.

This is my go to store for most of my clothes.
I can find great work clothes at good prices. The wide range of dress shirts and pants is second to none at prices that mortals can afford. Plus, if you talk up the sales people and are nice to them they will almost always give you the sale price that you need a LT charge to get which I like. The suit selection is also top notch.
I also like buying my jeans here although I only do so when they are on the clearance rack. I refuse to pay $ 100 for a pair of jeans although the only jeans I like seem to be of that variety. So if your patient you can get them for like $ 50 on the clearance rack.

A staple of the Burlington Mall from way-​back-​when, Lord & Taylor continues it’s reign.

I was in here the other day — and I was impressed.
I thought this place would be full of stuffy-​white older-​people clothes, but instead they had a HUGE variety of clothing — all presented well on an enormous floorspace. It looks like the biggest store in the mall.

Decent selection at the fragrance counter (s), nice layout of clothing sections. Definitely worth a look, kids!

This location of Lord & Taylor doesn’t seem to attract large crowds, despite the make over. Hey some people may like that. It certainly beats Macy’s with its crowds that can’t say «excuse me», throw clothes on the floor, and use stores shelves to deposit their empty Dunkin Donuts cups instead of a garbage can.
My only comment is why does the store place men’s ties right next to women’s intimate wear? Not a well thought out transition between departments! And to think someone probably makes a 6 figure salary to lay out the store as such.

most racist shopping experience ever. had to return a pair of earrings that my sister bought for the wedding because they became useless b/​c they BROKE.
we were shuffled around to 4 different counters and we were both frustrated…
a NORMAL HUMAN BEING manager kinda intervened (more to get rid of us to avoid a scene than empathy) and the earrings were returned.

I had shopped all over for two special occasion dresses in the past 2 years, mom of bride in 06, and mom of groom 07. Forget all the chiffon bejeweled things in the bridal shops; they were neither ‘me’ nor what would work for the weddings.
I ended up with many dresses to try, lots of different styles and colors and lengths and price ranges. It was also great that when I shopped for my son’s wedding early this spring, it was prom season and there were many young ladies and their moms to offer helpful opinions.
So indeed, Lord & Taylor is ok with me!
