My husband and I were searching for something different to eat after a day of shopping and we happened upon Freddy’s. Upon walking in, we both agreed that the décor and vibe reminded us of 5 Guys. The place waa quite busy but we did not stand in line long. I was indecisive about ordering until I saw a plate of thin cut fries go by me. So, we ordered from separate cashiers. My husband’s cashier, teenager, was pleasant but she almost ruined everything when we asked her what was the best thing on the menu and she replied, «I don’t eat here.» My senses went into high gear as I asked her to explain. She recovered well stating that she just started working there and has only had the chili cheese fries thus far and that she highly recommended them. Whew… lol! I ordered a kids cheeseburger meal and my husband ordered a regular cheeseburger combo. Our orders came out quickly and we both were extremely pleased with our food. For me, I only eat my food well-done, so I was very pleased with the thin, pounded out patty that had crispy edges. My husband said the same about his. He had onion rings which were very tasty and crispy(I am almost certain they used vidalia onions) and I had french fries which were seasoned and cooked to perfection. They offer a Freddy’s sauce(mayonnaise type mixture) and it was veryyyy good with the fries. My cashier, Nicole, stopped by to collect our trays and asked if I had chosen a custard dessert yet(I had told her I would order dessert before I leave). Much to our surprise, she told us our dessert choices were her treat. How nice of her!!! I opted for the chocolate with brownie and my husband had the turtle sundae. We were both very impressed at how good the desserts were. Nicole talked tobus about the history of Freddy’s and how excited she was about the expansion throughout NC in such a short time. She was very knowledgeable and super pleasant. We will definitely return to Freddy’s and in the interim, share this positive experience with friends and family. Thanks Nicole for going above and beyond. You definitely made a difference!!!

They have good burgers and great sundaes here. Well above average for a fast food place. This was my first experience with a Freddy’s and it was a good one.

Think of a combination of Five Guys and Steak & Shake. Great selection of different burgers and hot dogs. The fry and burger seasoning mix is awesome. The prices on a combo are a little high, but you get what you pay for. After your meal, get dessert. They have a wonderfully rich and delicious frozen custard, and different concrete(milkshake) and sundaes. A mini size is a medium at other places. It is a good, clean atmosphere with oldies music and good open seating area. I highly recommend.

It’s new to the area and people are flocking to it because of this reason. The burger I had, the #7 was just a bacon cheeseburger, no more no less, nothing to write home about. It’s safe to eat and they have custard. A good family environment and they have a double drive through. No complaints… But over all underwhelming.

My first time here this day. I went with an original with fries and a root beer soda. The burger is thinly pressed(like Steak N Shake). The whole place is similar to S&S except for the lack of wait staff, custard, and a better burger. The burger was tasty but a lil over cooked. The toppings were simple and the pickles were perfect. I went Old school with mustard, no ketchup or mayo, yum! Fries are thin and crisp like potato stix. Don’t let them get cold :0/. A clean place with young friendly staff(well trained). The décor is oldies but cool. They need another soda dispenser and separate it from the condiments it gets crowded around the area. All in all, not a bad place. $ 8 meal is not horrible. Add a custard and you are north of $ 10.

This place makes steakburgers like SteaknShake. It’s not served by waiters though. My double cheeseburger was hotter and crisper than the competition if that makes any sense. It was tasty. A great place to go for a burger. Don’t forget they have a drive-thru. And nice outdoor seating. What they’ve got a lock on is the frozen custard. If you haven’t already had one, it’s a real smooth, rich ice-cream definitely worth getting. They have take-out pints too. Worth keeping on your list of places to go.

My brother and I had the Bacon Double Cheese Steakburger combo around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. The Steakburgers are very similar to the burgers at Steak & Shake. And they were prepared very well! They had a great crust on each of the patties, which are not the standard hockey pucks many of the other fast food restaurants serve. The fries are very thin shoestring fries which get nice and crispy. I prefer these to steak fries etc… That just have too much potato in them. The peanut butter sundae was good, but I was a little disappointed as well. Freddie’s calls their ice cream ‘custard’. Where I came from ‘custard’ was a ice cream made with eggs, if this had egg in it, it wasn’t much. I was expecting a more pronounce egg flavor. At $ 21 for two, Freddie’s is on the med high end for fast food, but the restaurant isn’t, it’s a large open box cafeteria, where they are constantly calling out orders«Customer 109 your Order is ready. Thank you.» And I do mean constantly. You have to then go pick it up. If you order a custard be sure to tell them to put it on «hold» if you’re buying a meal(I would have thought that would be assumed, it isn’t) if you don’t they’ll make your custard and call you, well before you get called for the meal. I haven’t tried the drive through, but if the lines look short enough, I’m going to do that instead. The burger and fries were very decent. However, Red Robin has better atmosphere, and they bring the meal to you… For not that much more. Then again if I’m going to go through the drive through, then Cook Out is very hard to beat. The $ 5 Whopper across the street is still a good alternative, albeit the burger is a hockey puck, but the smoke flavoring improves it somewhat.

Freddy’s is the latest edition to the Alamance Crossing shopping area. It’s directly across from Dick’s Sporting Goods &BJ’s Warehouse Club. It’s nice, fresh & new, just opened about 3 days ago. I had the California Style Double Steakburger, it was really good. Two thin steakburger patties grilled with a nice crust on the outside, had cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and their«special sauce», which was a thousand island dressing type sauce. The fries were outstanding, they are little shoestring type fries & fried perfect with just the right amount of salt. Best fries I’ve had in a long time. I didn’t even put ketchup on them, they were so good. The little PBC& B mini sundae was awesome, it’s their vanilla custard with Reeses Peanutbutter Cup crumbles, sliced bananas, whip cream & a cherry on top. I’ll definitely return for this little jewel. Everything on the menu looks really good, Freddy’s is definitely the upper class of fast food burger places. This one has a double drive-thru & they ask for a name to go with your order to make sure you get the right order. Being only opened a few days, I figured there would be mass chaos, but everything was smooth, I was in & out in about 10 minutes with no problems and the place was boomin’. It is a little pricey, my regular sized combo meal & the mini sundae was $ 13 buckaroos, Freddy’s will be one of those«once in a while» places for me.
