Place in the bottom floor of the Davis Center at UVM, the location is very handy for students looking for a convenience store. Unfortunately, because it is on campus, expect things to be slightly overcharged. Also unfortunate is that Cat Pause doesn’t accept points, so patrons either have to use CATscratch or cash.

CAT Pause is a convenience store located in the Davis Center at the University of Vermont campus. You’ll find your basic stuff, along with food, coffee, and ice cream.

This is in the central hub of the University of Vermont’s campus, and is a fairly well stocked convenience store. The coffee is usually fresh, and they have 5 or 6 varieties available. It’s all Green Mountain coffee, and on par or better than what you’ll find in other C-stores. There’s also a variety of other foods available – chips, some sandwiches, sweets. There’s also been a milkshake machine added as of last year, but I haven’t tried it. The staff here is usually friendly, but sometimes you’ll wind up with a student worker that is barely paying attention. It’s usually to my benefit, for example, they’ve forgotten to ring up a coffee or something and I’ve been told«Oh. Well, I guess it’s on the house». They accept credit cards with no minimum, CatScratch and cash. If the credit system is down, there’s a TD bank ATM near by… If the student workers were a bit more serious about their jobs there, I think I’d have no problems with the place.
