Captain D’s

At 730 on a Saturday night they said we are out of tea. Of course whole crew sitting in dining room. They acted like that they were doing a favor getting off their ass to take a order. The french fries were as cold as the cole slaw. Luke Warm. After one employee left that hadn’t been on the clock for 45 minutes she was telling them their drugs would be there at 8:05pm. Fortunately the employees Meth or Crack arrived sooner as they could make tea at 750pm and the fourth employee in 3 minutes were done checking the parking lot.

I give it two stars due to the fact of how bad the condition of building is in. I loveeee there food but cant eat inside. It looks awful in there. Booths are uneven so the tables slant bathrooms look like something u would find at a old service station. I did the online survey hopefully they will get the hint about the condition of building

Really surprised by the negative reviews. I love Captain D’s. I don’t dine there often, but when I do it’s really good. The service is great as well.

What a waste of money! The fish was was just terrible. The only thing worth eating was the broccoli. I will never again. The service was the best though!

Wish I could give less than one star :(Not fast food at all by any means! Waited at the drive thru for more than 20 mins with no one else in line, I might add… and when I got home part of my order was missing and I didn’t get any sauce I asked for, this being after I was apologized to for the long wait and told they were going to bag up my sauces right then… lol…I won’t be going back there.

D’s is reviewing the online reviews I don’t live far from this location I live in Mebane North Carolina I’ve never been to a captain D’s but I received a full-​page of coupons in the mail and I thought I would visit this location but after reading the online reviews there’s no way that I would ever visit Capt. D’s

Update to the previous. Received response about issues of previous and received apology and two free individual meals. Our current visit all went fine, and only issue noticed this visit were the onions in hushpuppies seemed on the tailend of use. We will visit again and see how all goes.

Fast Seafood. Fast realization that this place is awful. The only real bright spot is the service. At least they smile when they hand you the crappy food.
Before I judge a place, I usually like to eat there at least twice. It sucked the first time I tried it. It was just as bad, if not the worse, on my 2^nd attempt.
The hush puppies have a very bland taste. The fries aren’t much better. There was a little too much breading on the fish. The slaw was some of the worst tasting slaw I’ve ever had in my life.
Eating at Captain D’s should be a punishment option for misdemeanors.
No, I’m not a disgruntled former employee. It’s just terrible food.
May God have mercy on your tongue and your stomach if you eat here.

Not the greatest. Not the worst. Satisfies my husbands craving for Long John Silver since their isn’t one around here.

I love Captain D’s. It is my favorite chain fast food restaurant, but I found this location to be somewhat lacking. Décor was a little old, most of the other locations I have been to have been recently updated. I ordered my usual 2 piece fried fish meal with French fries and extra hush puppies. Fish was greasier than usual and had a little bit of a fishy after taste. I have been to a billion Captain D’s and never find the fish to be fishy or greasy, so skip this location and try another.

It’s fast food seafood. That’s what it is. I love this place. The service is always good, the food is always fried and fried well. I love their fish, and their shrimp. It’s not gourmet dining, and it’s not supposed to be. For what it is, it is fantastic. Service is top notch, place is clean, if you want a fish fix, this is the place. Slaw is top notch as well.

Maybe it’s because I had a childhood memory or two, or a junior high memory of a date I wished would never end, but I looked forward to re-​living the feeling when I stopped by this Captain D’s.
Located in a neighborhood that’s seen better days, this chain restaurant left me disappointed and frustrated. Captain D’s, if you’ve never been to one, is a fast food seafood chain with the requisite bits of crunchy batter and cornbread hush puppies. This isn’t heart-​healthy food, by any means, but it’s a workable alternative if you’ve got a craving and the burger big-​box chains don’t quite satisfy. I’d give the food a three and half stars if Unilocal allowed half-​stars.
As for the unpleasant: The employees leave customers waiting at the counter while they finish their breaks; not once offering an apology or sending one of the at least four people in the kitchen to help out at the counter. In all fairness to them, though, once the break was over and they came to the counter, they were efficient and friendly enough. I’ve not seen any place where management allows all its counter staff to take a break at the same time. Very weird. Two stars for that.
If you stop by, don’t sit in the back near the restrooms. It stinks. Really. Like an outhouse at a picnic site. Yuck. One star for that.
Even leaving the memories behind, I thought this trip was a solid two-​star «meh» experience. What a pity.
