AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care

Clean, courteous, fast and very professional. As a walk in I was expecting to wait but registered and went straight to an exam room. Staff was very nice and thorough. The doctor was outstanding. Took the time to speak with me about symptoms and did t give the feeling of being rushed. Great experience and would recommend to everyone to give them a try.

I came here on ¹²⁄₂₆ to get a voluntary thyroid blood test for my own sake. I don’t have insurance, do not have a primary care doctor, and haven’t had a physical in over a year. I called ahead of time and spoke to a very nice younger guy on the phone who told me the visit would be $ 169 and the test would be $ 50. Fine. I arrived some time around 6pm and was seen right away. The lady at the desk and the intake nurse were both nice enough. I was seen by a female doctor with shoulder length gray hair. I spoke to her for a total of 8 minutes. She basically rolled her eyes and chastised me for not having insurance. She has no idea what anyone’s circumstances are and it is wrong for her to do that. She told me there’s probably nothing wrong with me but she’d do the test anyways since I’m asking for it. Look– obviously it isn’t ideal for me to be here the day after Christmas paying $ 220 out of pocket and I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t have some type of concern. So just do what you’re being paid to do without trying to make me feel like crap about it. People don’t go to urgent care in ideal circumstances, and no one wants to be chastised for doing so.

Let me start with the good:
The male nurse and the 2 women in the front were very polite
Now here’s the bad:
When I got into the exam room, I was greeted with another nurse who was Okay, she didn’t seem too happy to be there, but she was still polite, now when the doctor came in she was an older lady with grayish-​white hair, she was very rude, she rushed the entire process and only seemed interested in going home, she even skipped checking what the nurse had actually brought her in for…
I would go back here, if they made sure all the staff were quality people, it appears that while most of the staff are, the doctors are not!

Do not go to this urgent care center. This place is horrible and there’s no respect for the patient’s time. There was no one in the waiting room when i arrived and i still had to wait 90 min in the exam room to see a doctor. Why? Absolutely horrible. Go to a minute clinic or any other place. This is my first and last time here!

I may never go to my PCP again.
Well okay, I suppose I will for routine checkups — but as for any other ailment I come down with, Doctor’s Express will be my go-​to.
Came down with symptoms of strep throat, wanted to go to my PCP but would have had to take time off of work and waited a few days. Instead I decided to give this place a try during my lunch break. I was able to fill out the forms online, and I saw a doctor within 4 minutes of getting there (the nurse saw me almost right away after I checked in).
The staff and nurses are extremely helpful and friendly, and the doctor was overly accommodating and knowledgable. After the rapid strep test came back negative, he wanted to make sure I didn’t have something else, so gave me another test for something else. When that test came back negative, I let him know that in the past I have gotten the not-​so-​common strains of strep, and he said that he would send my test off for a culture and give me a call back once the results are in. He even offered to prescribe me antibiotics if I didn’t want to wait for the results to come back. A few days later, Drs Express called me and asked how I was doing, they were genuinely checking in — I’ve never had a PPC do this.
I cannot recommend this place enough:
* Friendly staff
* Knowledgable, considerate and accommodating nurses and doctors
* Clean office with TVs and refreshments
* Clean exam rooms with TVs
* No wait, no hassle check-​in

DOCTORS — The Doctor I saw was a MD (Medical Doctor) not a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in osteopathic manipulative treatments (OMT)). I prefer a MD’s.
STAFF — Semi-​Professional (medical assistant wrote my vitals on a post it note and took my blood pressure wrong), clean, friendly, and fast.
FACILITY — Clean, Sanitary, Flat screen, Keurig (coffee or tea), Multiple Treatment Rooms, Easy Parking, with Hours of Operation: 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week.
Technology — The Medical Assistant while writing my vitals on a post it complained that the hand held tablets were slow. However, she also the same one who took my BP incorrectly. Not sure how reliable that info is.
End result, the doctor was great and I am feeling much better.
BRAVO!

Made an appointment online for 12:15. Got here at 11:55. It is now 1:05 and I haven’t seen anyone. Such a long wait and the «wait» board says 0 – 5 mins wait currently.
Ridiculous.

This place is awesome! Took my son here today. He broke his wrist in a car accident. Nicole & Sarah at the front desk were lovely, as was Dr. Cioffi. We were in & out in no time with x-​rays on a disk & a referral to a hand surgeon. All for a fraction of what an emergency room visit would cost. The professionalism of the staff could not be beat. The convenient location, parking, and hours of operation are terrific too. These folks get an A+ in my book.

I had a great experience at this location.
Was in and out in under 30 minutes with a note for work.
I would highly recommend this urgent care to my own family or friends.

My primary care physician was on vacation when I needed to go in to get my malaise checked out. If my friends weren’t so insistent on getting me to see a doctor at Doctors Express, I probably would still be suffering in bed.
The front desk, techs, and doctor were all very helpful, efficient, and friendly. I walked in on a Thursday afternoon, expecting to wait a few hours for care, but was seen within 15 minutes. The check in process was quick, and the examination process was simple. After I had my vitals checked by the tech, the doctor came in and checked me out, and got to my diagnosis pretty quickly (even with a rapid strep test performed). She made me feel very comfortable and even threw in a few jokes. 30 minutes after checking in, I was discharged with a prescription already sent to CVS.
Good news for those who do have longer wait times — there’s a Keurig coffee machine with a variety of drinks, and chilled bottle water.
I highly recommend this facility for your one-​off needs — they are very capable in providing the care you meed when your main options are off the table.

From the moment I contacted Doctor Express by phone (Sharon I believe) from being seen by the nurse, then to Dr. V. Persis Dhas, and then the gentleman that discharged me it was the best experience I could have imagined. I am from Iowa and needed to see a Dr, when I called in Sharon was a true professional making sure my insurance would cover the visit. Dr Dhas was awesome, very personable and extremely decisive on my treatment.
Thanks to everyone that helped me, I am truly grateful.

My doctors office was closed and I needed to get an antibiotic so as not to spend night miserable. The ER is a nightmare to use if you don’t have a life threatening issue. I was glad a place like this was available but didn’t know what to expect. The staff greeted me warmly and I was processed, seen by the PA and had tests and prescription called in in less than an hour. It was a terrific experience. I will definitely use their services again if the need arises.

Excellent! Fast service, friendly. In and out in under an hour with great service and diagnosis. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: I called the billing department back, and spoke to someone who ensured me it would be taken care of. I then got a call back from a person who worked at the Doctors Express office, and she apologized profusely and said that my Unilocal review has prompted a review of their billing practices. I was very happy to receive the call and I appreciate the apology. I also got an email from the President of Doctors Express and he also expressed his concern over the experience I had. All in all, the response from Doctors Express has exceeded my expectations, and I am happy to write this update to show that they do indeed care about their customers. Thank you Doctor’s Express!

Great doctor, quick and courteous techs. Recommend!

Express? When I came in, there were two people ahead of me in the waiting room. What they don’t tell you is they have 10 exam rooms and one doctor. Between the waiting room and the exam room, I waited 45 minutes, and left without being seen because I had to go back to work.

If I could give them 100 stars, I would.
I went in for a small but painful medical issue on a Saturday afternoon in December. I couldn’t have been anymore pleased with the cleanliness of the facility, the professionalism of the front desk people, the super examination performed by the most caring doctor I have ever been seen by, and the speed and efficiency from beginning to end. I wish I could dump my primary care to come here for now on. I have also recommended to friends who have agreed with my opinion of Doctor’s Express.

These guys are awesome. They run a great, efficient practice, the clinician I saw took plenty of time with me, called in my prescriptions and gave me printed instructions, and then called to follow up with me the next day! Everyone I encountered at Doctors Express was competent and pleasant. Saturday hours are a plus. I would highly recommend this practice.

Went in Wednesday to get a flu swab. Staff was friendly, office was very clean, and service was quick. The bad news is I tested positive for flu, but the good news is they got me in and out fast. They even called today to check up and see if I was pleased with their service.
