Xin Li Do Beauty Spa

I had wanted to like this place based on the reviews, but it just did not meet any of my expectations and they overcharged me in the end (added extra tip for themselves) !!
First, the spa was very clean and the owner was friendly and also the one who did the Korean scrub for me. However, she asked me a few times if she could talk to me in Chinese (but I’m Korean –_​-​). Even when I told her I was Korean, she asked again if I was Chinese. Apparently, her English comprehension is good but not great.
Second, I’m used to real Korean scrubs where you soak in a hot tub or steam sauna for 20 min to prepare your skin and then get a real scrub down and exfoliation. The so-​called ‘Korean scrub’ here is not typical, there was no pre-​preparation of the skin, and I didn’t leave with a squeaky clean feeling. In fact, she shampooed my hair and left some conditioning product in (i.e., she didn’t wash out all the product which left a noticeable grimy feeling in my hair for the rest of the day… I actually had to take another shower to feel clean).
I would have been able to forgive all of that until I checked my credit card statement and saw that they added extra tip to the bill !!! I even gave her a generous tip (nearly 20%), but she added on a few extra dollars. I felt petty asking my credit card company to refund me a few extra dollars, so decided to write this review instead of the very disappointing experience I had at Xin Li Do Beauty Spa. I hope no one else has this same experience.

Wonderful local find, lei and nana are great! I went to check this place out and brought a few people since they had a deal and it was new! Sooo glad I Did the place is tastefully decorated new and clean. The equipment was updated and not old and outdated and the services were noticeably outstanding, two of my friends had deep cleansing facials by lei and massages by nana. I tried the foot massage which was okay but later returned a couple times for the microdermabrasion and led facial! One by Anna and one by lei! Huge difference! I have since referred a few coworkers and friends and each have all been really happy with the results and will be going back.
I believe they will be having a promotion this month online which will be a great saving for quality services… I havent tried their Korean massage, but will proabably try that next… A facial, hair wash, and body massage… sigh sounds very relaxing!

Best «foot» massage I have ever had. Head to toe, top and bottom. all for $ 25 for 1 hour! The street noise is a little loud at times but they do a good job with the music and waterfall to mask it. I had a facial here too recently and it was great, also at a great price. I love the deep cleansing.
The ladies were on time, the spa is clean and everyone was very pleasant. Street parking directly in front is only one hour, half block down or across the street is 2 hour limit.

You can get in from the Burlingame Plaza side, but the entrance opposite, On Magnolia (also 1812A) is cool, with a big checkerboard pattern on the front. It’s owned by two local gals, Lei and Nana, who also do much of the work. You can get your feet massaged (Ohhhhhhhhhh) or get a complete body scrub, facial, and a hair wash. All the men and women (he med doing foot massages) are excellent and friendly without being gushy. The spa is nicely decorated and furnished and the paint job is serene.
