I called Nerd Busters to help my father who is suffering from a dementia. They fixed the problem, were very respectful of my father’s issues and called me to discuss specifics. In addition they were punctual, reasonably priced and quick to come out. I could not have asked for more and will most certainly be using them again.

Working with Stephen has been a great experience overall. I had him come to my place two times. The first was to re-​arrange and organize the satellite connection in my living room, bedroom, and office — Along with network cable hookups on the wall that were all fed from the office where my Internet /​router resides. Overall it was an excellent install, clean and professional. The second visit was a bit of my own fault because I later found that I wanted to re-​arrange the rooms a little and thus I needed the re-​wiring done a second time. I was willing to arrange a second visit with Nerdbusters and I love how easy it is to arrange an appointment via their website. We came to an agreement on the appointment time/​date and Stephen was back out here to help me re-​wire existing systems to another side of the room via wall plates in both the bedroom and living room. The living room needed new Audio hookups for my speaker system and we decided to run speaker cable through the walls along with an Optical cable hookup. Everything works as expected and I see no sign of shoddy work. All professionally done, and an amazing service that I cannot find anywhere else in the Bay Area.

I had a bunch of hard to solve problems on my home entertainment system. Our 5 year old stereo receiver, Wii, PS3, DVR and squeezebox weren’t all connected properly to the speaker system. I didn’t even have my sub woofer connected properly. Stephen showed up and with only 1 new cable that I needed to run to Radio Shack for, he had me all running smoothly within about 2 hours. He even set up my new Universal remote to control every one of my devices in that time. I couldn’t have done this work in a whole weekend so this was the best money I could have spent. I am going to have him back in the next month or so to set up another room for us.

We DITTO all the good things said about Steve and the Nerd Busters. My Mom is 95 years old (yes I said 95) and loves her computer. She is on face book, sends emails, surfs the net and above all, LOVES her Hoyle Card games. The computer picked up a nasty virus and everything came to a stand still. Steve came out that afternoon, stomped the bug, cleaned up the computer, helped us set up a 3G micro cell, gave us some good computer advice, and above all made my Mom a very happy lady. His service was excellent, his rates are very reasonable and we highly recommend the Nerd Busters.

My husband had one of those dreaded tech. emergencies — he had just finished writing a time-​consuming piece for work and somehow ended up losing it … trashed AND emptied the trash (I think it was karma for always trying to get rid of my so-​called clutter… i.e. handbag collection and other such things). Anyhow we panicked and started looking for data recovery do-​it-​yourself online but didn’t find anything that good and certainly nothing that was free. I wasn’t confident we could do it without professional help esp. since everything we read said try not to use your computer after the loss.
I quickly did some research and found Nerd Busters, was able to talk the professional quickly and directly. Though he was booked for the day — I called early evening — he came over first thing in the morning, took a look and fixed the problem within 24 hours (my husband’s laptop is old so he needed to take it offsite for a bit). It was door-​to-​door and whenever I spoke to him on the phone he seemed honestly concerned and was very helpful (sometimes tech. folks can be a little patronizing I’ve found). Best of all the price was totally reasonable — and I compared it with the ‘Geeks’ — considering he probably had to do more than the hour of work he charged us for not to mention having to drive to/​from our place twice.
I would definitely use them again (though hopefully I won’t have to!) AND enthusiastically recommend them to anyone. Nerd Busters is YOUR BEST friend when technology is not!!!

Steve arrived at my home on time, was courteous and professional. He assisted me in re-​setting my Internet and wireless functions (which was totally elementary, but I’m too computer illiterate to know how) and cleaned up a few basic functions on my computer, which resulted in noticeably increasing the speed. He spent one hour and, with the intro discount, only charged me $ 75, but I gave him a tip. All in all great service at a very good price. I highly recommend him.

I hired Steve to set up a Sonos wireless sound system at my condo. The sound system turned out to be even better than what I was looking for, and the service was fantastic — scheduling appointments was easy (and he was available in the evenings), he gave clear, accurate estimates, and he patiently led me to be an expert on the system. I highly recommend Nerdbusters.

These guys were great. Came over on short notice to help me figure out how to integrate my audio/​video life with my mac and pc networks to get everything, everywhere.
Gave great advice on solutions, configuration and setup cost was totally reasonable. Really intelligent articulate tech, made the whole process really simple and affordable.
I probably would have spent way more and gotten frustrated if I’d try to go it alone on this project, glad I called Nerd Busters.

I found Steve on Google and decided to try him out to deal with a number of issues I was having with our wireless network. Steve arrived on time and in less than 2 hours resolved all of the issues. The network is working perfectly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I kept procrastinating on a home tech job that needed to be done. My kitchen counter was growing with electronics and I had to move it all. Steve came by and did it within the hour and his rates were so low I felt guilty. I have a box that wires my whole house. He was able to understand everything, sort through and untangle it all and rewire everything to a new location. Very capable. Very professional. Incredible service.

Steve came over to my home on a moment’s notice to un-​tangle a few very serious issues I was having with my MAC desktop. By explaining what his recommendations were before he did them, I was able to make the decision and understand the outcome of my decision.
I’ve had my MAC for 2 years and Steve showed me a few nice pointers to save me time, especially with creating files and backups.
Make your life easier; I wish I would’ve called NerdBusters sooner!
