Photoshoot was actually fun — and we have 3 young boys! John makes you feel at ease and actually guides you into poses quickly yet creatively.

We used John for some family photos at the beach. John was great, listening to our desires, climbing a steep hill to get an overhead shot, and generally making us all feel relaxed and at ease. The pictures came out great, even with the foggy weather, and John was super patient as we took forever to choose from all the great shots! Would recommend John to anyone! Thank you!

I HIGHLY recommend John Meyer Photography. I am so glad we found him. He took amazing pictures of my family and kids and we are always getting compliments on them. We will certainly be repeat customers of John’s as his work is terrific and he is very good with kids. I only wish we had found him before we got married so we would have had great Wedding pictures.

Getting an email about a great deal that they are promoting this Holiday season reminded me that I haven’t left them a Unilocal review so here it goes. Brief but Honest.
We took advantage of a Groupon offer and did a session with them in San Francisco. I had originally bought it for my daughter but time did not allow for her so my husband and i took the spot. Being an older couple and we hadn’t done this since our Wedding photos thirty four years ago, we weren’t sure what to expect. John made this so much fun and EASY. We just walked around the park as if we were alone and he shot away. We LOVE our pictures! When the time comes to take more pictures of our growing family, John Meyer will be our choice. Another plus? Great office staff. Karla is wonderful and patient. She comes through warmly even in her emails. Thanks John and Karla.

Meyer Photography were fantastic to work with. They helped us preserve some beautiful moments with my parents. I would recommend them for any special occasion, or just to capture precious moments with loved ones.

I purchased a Groupon and scheduled an appointment for my family’s holiday photos. We were late, but John was incredibly patient and accommodating. He was relaxed and flexible throughout the shoot despite my two girls’ impatience and lack of cooperation at times. We were astonished to see how good we looked when we got the proofs. He turned our ordinary family into beautiful people.

John did a great job with our family portrait. I could not be happier with the way the photos turned out. He is also a great person to work with and made our kids feel at ease. He cares about what he does and it shows in his work.
John also has great customer service skills, he was accomodating when we showed up late for the shoot and in other instances too.

John can do all types of photography. The guy has shot bands like The Fray, high fashion models, family portraits and weddings. He comes from a family of photographers and has made a successful business from a young age. Both he and his wife are involved a lot in the actually shoots, too. She does hair and make-​up, as well. I’m thankful to have had him shoot my wedding as well as my acting headshots. John is huge on location shots, too. He has a studio in his home, but loves to meet in different bay area locations to give the photos a scenic look and tell a story! He will practically hang from a tree to get the right shot! He’s someone who also has integrity and is very trustworthy. I recommend him to everyone.

I am not what you would consider a ‘handsome man’. I am far from Brad Pitt but I am not ‘Sloth’ from the Goonies either.
John has an eye for photography. I don’t take very good pictures and out of the thousands of pictures of me, a handful of them are decent (and most being with low resolution cell phone camera’s).
I found John on the web and needed a professional photograph for my website and other promotional materials. He was very easy to work with and supportive. Out of the many pictures he took, I figured there would be at least «1» decent one. I was wrong. There were several. I went through my portfolio with several friends and co-​workers, all were impressed.
I definitely recommend John for all your photographs. Definitely impressed me.

john is laid back, accomodating, and a nice photographer! my husband and i wanted to shoot some preggie photos to keep forever and upon a short research online i chose john meyer photography because he was offering a free seating fee during the month of march. he took us to a gorgeous outdoor location where we had too many beautiful pictures to choose from. we’ll definitely come back to john when our son is born if we have enough money left over after buying diapers and wipers.

I highly recommend Meyer Photography for all of your special occasions. John and his wife, Melanie did my wedding in April and I could have not asked for a more professional photographer. I LOVE my wedding pictures. We didn’t get married anywhere particularly fancy, but the angles and lighting he used made it look like we got married in a super extravagant place! You only get the chance to get married once, and you should cherish those memories with truly awesome photography. Every time my husband and I look at our pictures, we relive that day and how awesome John and Melanie were. They kept us calm and collected and took AMAZING pictures. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Meyer Photography made me feel like a million bucks on my wedding day! Their professional knowledge was clearly evident as they worked to get the perfect shot. But they were also extremely flexible and open to my suggestions. I felt like a runway model! John (owner) even took the time to scout out my chosen location before the wedding day to be sure we had a place with good light and background. Because of his efforts, everything was smooth and punctual on the big day. Thank you also to John’s wife Melanie for her expertise in lighting and to their assistant Chris Hudson for his quiet, behind the scenes presence and for distracting the lady at Hakone Gardens so we could get a few more shots in before closing time.
