History

Established in 1987.

Frederick Kohl, builder of The Oaks as the Kohl Mansion was first called, built this stately Tudor mansion starting in 1912. In 1914, Bessie and Frederick Kohl open their doors at Christmas time and continued to entertain lavish parties for the next two years. In the early 1920s, Mr. Kohl passed away and willed the Mansion to Mrs. Lord. In 1924, Mrs. Lord sold the Kohl Mansion to the Sisters of Mercy. Presently, the Kohl Mansion and Mercy High School are residing on this gorgeous 40 acre property
