Joe Putnam founded Putnam Automotive in 1965, coming from a small town in North Dakota. We are known for our fair treatment and great community involvement. Let us take care of your car.

Meet the Business Owner

Kent P.

Business Owner

At age 12, Kent Putnam started washing cars at his father’s Buick store in Burlingame. Moving on to the parts and service department, he learned from the ground up by working behind the parts counter and as a service writer. Under the guidance of experienced managers, Kent learned the «Putnam» way of doing business: Provide great service and competitive prices, and you’ll earn a customer for life.

After several years in operations, Kent transferred to the sales department. Working his way up to sales manager, he held the position for seven years, always keeping in mind that customer satisfaction is the key to success. Kent eventually was promoted to General Manager, becoming a partner in Putnam Automotive.

As an owner and general manager, Kent remains hand-​on in the day-​to-​day operations. Working six days a week, he begins each morning with a managers’ meeting, bringing his team together to ensure that every Putnam customer continues to experience superior customer service.
