Eagle Car Wash

After years of coming to Eagle Car Wash to get a reasonably-​priced hand wash and interior cleaning, I was disappointed to see that the friendly staff of workers has been fired and replaced by an automatic car-​washing machine. No more hand wash nor interior cleaning, so now I have to find another place to take our cars.

Four dollars for the basic wash and it got the job done. Not particularly impressive, but not a bad deal either.

You seriously can’t beat $ 5 for a hand car wash. Very Easy and straight up. No need for tips and the people are fast and thorough. Very satisfied with the wash. Definitely Got my money’s worth!

While the guys washing the cars do a great job, the proprietor is a total unethical scumbag. While filling up, I chose to get a car wash for 9.95. When I rounded the corner for the car wash I saw the $ 5 car wash sign and asked her to give me a refund for the 9.95 wash and get the special exterior wash deal. She wouldn’t give me the adjustment althought I know she’s capable of giving refunds, as the last time I came here I paid for a car wash at the pump and it turned out that the car wash was closed. They gave me a cash refund-​no problem. It was a different person in the cage. I won’t come back on principle. Definitely not the Nordstom model. Her $ 4.95 decision cost her hundreds of dollars in customer sastisfaction for all of my family members and friends. And they WILL hear about this.

This place is awesome! You can’t beat $ 5 for a hand car wash. They have a special right now for $ 5 exterior washes which include an exterior wash and hand dry.
Not too shabby in my opinion. Easy in and out for someone on the go like me. :)

Does a fair job of cleaning the exterior of my car. I don’t need much, just the exterior of my car clean enough that all the dust don’t end up on my clothes.
My car doesn’t come out «show room» clean, but for the price, I’m fine with it.
My dog thinks I should be taking more stars off, he’s terrified of this place. He’s always trying to hide in a «safe» place inside the car so the water doesn’t get him.

Short Version: Rude/​Unfriendly service. Tried to tell us they wouldn’t vacuum the interiors of our cars because «other customers might come and there would be a wait.»

Detailed Version:
I got some coupons for this place on the back of my Safeway receipt. The coupon was for a hand wash that included vacuuming and tire dressing for $ 10.95.
My girlfriend and I were overdue for getting our cars washed, so we cleaned our cars out (to get ready for the vacuuming) and headed over.
We pulled up and the place was empty save for one customer who was getting his interior done and a few people getting gas. We talked to the cashier and he told us they were only doing exterior washes. Here is the dialogue that followed:
Me: So, why can’t you do our interiors?
Him: Because we only have two people working right now.
**I looked around, saw him plus two workers.**
Me: So… what’s the problem?
Him: Well, if more cars come then we’ll get backed up.
Me: But there’s no one else here right now.
Him: If more cars come we’ll get backed up and people will have to wait.
Me: Look, we really want to get our cars washed and vacuumed. I’ve got this coupon that say’s you’ve offered to do it for 10.95. We’ve got two cars here, are you telling me you don’t want our business?
Him: Fine, we’ll do the interior but if more cars come you’ll have to wait.
Me: That’s fine, I don’t mind waiting. As long as you do everything I’m paying for.
After that, he was genuinely curt and unpleasant. He didn’t say a word to me when I asked him to break a bill to get some ones to tip the workers.
I will never go back to this place, I can’t honestly recommend it to anyone.

Sorry but this place is run by a bunch of very angry people. I pulled up yesterday to get gas, as I was doing so the man left the booth staring at me. Walked into an employee room came out two minutes later and walked the opposite direction to help dry a vehicle. I stood with money in my hand for about 5 minutes before getting assistance from someone else. Also, when I used to get my car washed here I started noticing little specks or blemishes on my paint. Well come to find out their water recycling equipment had broken and my car was being slightly sandblasted!

it is just okay. For $ 17.95 I got the interior and exterior (they raised their rates)
I asked for NO FRAGRANCE, and what did I get? I car that smelled like a flipping coconut, WTF?
I won’t be back on that because I am very sensitive to fragrance & it made me sick.

10.95 Safeway coupon and a $ 2 tip (did not seem enough to them) that is as good as its gets…
Not all that bad, I found it to be empty at 11 am on a Sunday morning.
The owner walk up takes money upfront, looks at the coupon and smiles,
a few minutes of external body wash with hands and soap…
I am particularly a fan of those rails where in I have to direct my left wheel’s in… but ohh well…
automatic thru the railing, ends with a blower, turn left and they will vaccum car from inside and wipe your cars exteriors, clean dash wheel, «cup holders» (its difficult no one can do it perfect)…clean the rims of the car and you are good to go…
I hate automatic car washes as they never dry your car completely… well I go to safeway so I will have coupons again, overall for 13 bucks it is money well spent…

For $ 11.95, I got my car hand washed on the outside, and then vacuumed and swept on the inside. Not bad for a lunchtime excursion. I should’ve looked for the coupon that the other reviewer mentioned though, dang.
To be specific, first my car is hand washed (with me sitting in it); then it’s run through the remnants of its automatic car wash for a 2^nd wash and a dry. I assume the main thing here is to help dry my car; next I roll out of neutral and into the small (3 cars, max) finishing area where 2 folks worked on drying the outside and cleaning the inside.
One thing they didn’t do for my hatchback was vacuum the trunk (which was pretty clean anyway). A sign at the END of the process said that was $ 2 extra. Hmph. They did vaccum the floormats and the seats so… I’m not sure why 45 seconds more of swiping would cost $ 2 more but… hey, some MBA somewhere probably justified it.
If you happen to be in Mountain View/​Palo Alto, go to Lozano Brushless Carwash. They have coupons everywhere and for around the same price you get everything vacuumed and you get free popcorn and lemonade while you wait.
