Fabulous place to for all your skin care concerns! I’ve been here a few months and have only gotten a few treatments but I’ve seen huge improvement in my skin! My main issues are acne, sun damage, premature aging, and oiliness but since I’ve been here nearly all my acne have cleared up and my skin has gotten much smoother and even. Lisa is an amazing esthetician. She is so knowledgeable on skin and knows how to answer all my question and concerns. She’s really good at looking at the condition of your skin and using the best treatment for your skin. She will also recommend the correct skin care regimen for you with her amazing products but she’s never pushy and may times gives samples for you to try out before you invest in there products. This place is really amazing, all around great with the treatments as well as the products. Only downside I can think of is that Lisa is almost always books so you do need to make an appointment at least a month in advance, but I guess that just shows how great she it! Highly recommend this place!

Lisa is the most delightful and knowledgable aesthetician I have come across. She really understands my skin and for the past four years has kept it clear and beautiful. Dermasolutions also sells a great range of quality products that I have found very effective.

Three years later and I am still obsessed with Lisa!!! I think that she is so educated on what she does for a living and it just all comes naturally to her! I am the type of person that always has a million questions and she always has an answer for me! She is so caring and really cares about her clients! I bought a deal for Dermasolutions quite a long time ago and had a fantastic facial done by Leandra. She was very nice and attentive and she tried to deal with my milia extractions.
Since then, I’ve tried to book an appointment on three separate occasions. I have called during their posted business hours and each time, I have left a message. I find it strange that no one answers the phone since the time I was actually there, there was a receptionist. Three messages, NO returned phone calls. Sad that their customer service is so lacking. They are losing business with this type of behaviour and as much as I enjoyed my one experience there, I doubt I will ever go back if they don’t have the common courtesy to return a phone call.

Go see this skin expert, Lisa! I never knew I could learn so much about my skin, in a two hour time period. This woman knows skin, acne and everything else in between. As we have only met once; I believe that all of her facials are not two hours long, only perhaps, the initial visit. Seeing her was the equivalent of seeing a doctor, with a heavy focus on what I would like to change, repair, brighten or get rid of. The way she operates is to ensure you have a plan with her, to get exactly what you want. She’s caring, yet firm and will be frank with you about exactly what you need to do!
Go see Lisa, but know that you may experience some slight pain. in the facial peels and extractions, but will end up with amazing results! Like she told me today, «No pain, no gain!» I love it and my face feels so soft and cleansed from the inside out!

Fantastic place and the staff was great, went to see Lisa for the first time and she was wonderful. She knows the right treatments for all skin types. The atmosphere and the expertise of Dermasolutions beats most facial places I’ve been to.
I live far but got the Groupon deal since I sometimes visit friends up north. I had forgotten about my coupon and it expired but after explaining my story to them, they honored the deal plus even got a discount with future services.
Every time I get a chance to head up north I will definitely visit Dermasolutions again.

I started to go to Dermasolutions in 2004. Back then, I had acne on my face and Lisa did fantastic job on my skin. Since my acne was gone, I haven’t gone to salon as much as I am supposed to. But recently I noticed some fine lines on my forehead and eye area. I went back to Lisa for help. WHAT A SMART MOVE I MADE! She did microdermabrasion on me and I always loved the smooth skin afterwards and I have noticed the fine lines are fading. Last time, about 3 weeks ago, for the first time, she did Micro Current around my eyes, FANTASTIC! I noticed the difference right after. the skin around my eyes seemed tighter and my eyes look fresher! THANKS LISA! I know I will be adicted in Micro Current! Can’t wait to get it again!!! I trust Lisa and am lucky to have her in my life!!!

Came in about 2 weeks ago, I have really bad dry skin, I have all my life. I saturate it with lotion every day. Well, let me tell you… my facial was Amaaaaaaaazing, the girls were gorgeous and super sweet, and my dry skin is no more… here now almost 3 weeks later! My skin is still rockin, and I wish I was wealthy cause I’d go in every day!!! A must for the girl who cares to not only pamper herself, but treat herself to the best!!! =)

I was a true faithful customer to a spa in San Jose but decided to try Dermasolutions since it was highly recommended by a close friend of mine. I was quite hesitant to drive 45 – 50 minutes for a facial. However, this spa is truly a gem and really regret not coming here sooner. I am a very tough woman to please and I tend to be very critical of new places. But from the minute you walk in you already feel at ease, the spa is very tranquil and has a very soothing ambiance. Its also super clean, which is REALLY important to me. I was greeted by the friendly receptionist and offered something to drink. I had a quick conversation with another customer that was there and she told me she was pleased with her service. I told her it was my first time at this spa and I was seeing Lisa. Her reply was «you are in good hands with Lisa.»
My esthetician was Lisa. She was AMAZING! FABULOUS! AWESOME! She really knew what she was talking about and it felt like she had many years of experience. She was professional and walked me through everything she was doing. She advised me on what I should be doing at home to maintain my skin. I have seen remarkable results just from my first time visit with her. I cant imagine how my skin will look and feel 6 months from now. I am the type that needs a lot of direction or I’ll get off track in maintaining my skin.
I have decided to continue to see Lisa and take the 45 minute drive (one way) so I can be taken care of by someone who really cares about my skin. My face feels soft like a baby’s butt! I am beyond pleased that I found Lisa. For me to drive 1.5 hours for a facial (with 3 kids at home), shows you that she’s the BEST out there!
I would ignore the previous negative reviews on scheduling since they don’t seem realistic. I have called and set up my monthly appointments with no conflicts. Rest assure the staff will do their best to accommodate your schedule.

I’ve decided to leave this spa a few months ago after Jaime their best esthetician left. Since Jan 2012, I was thinking about moving to a different spa, but I only stayed because Jaime so was great.
I used to book appointments weeks in advance with Jaime. Like clock work, 1 – 2 weeks before my appointment, I would receive a call from the receptionist saying «There was a scheduling issue, well need you to come in at a different time or see a different esthetician.» This happened to all of my pre-​schduled appointment but one. To me, this is not a great way to run a business.

I drive about 45 miles to see Lisa @ Dermasolutions. It’s worth the drive! She definitely knows skin in and out. You can tell she takes pride and passion in her work.
Never pushing her products but instead educating you on what’s best for your skin. I have to admit extraction is no fun but she reassures me it’s needed. As always… I often send her a complimentary call the next day gloating on how great my skin look.
Customer service is always on point. Im usually greeted with a nice cup of tea and they even add coins to my meter if needed. Ambiance is clean and modern. I highly recommend this place.

Went for the first time using a Groupon and I was extremely pleased. I had Leandra to do my facial. She was very knowledgeable really nice, took the time to answer all my questions, do a GREAT facial and recommend an awesome mineral power to me by Jane Iredale. The products there are pretty pricey so I’m trying things one at a time, not getting a slew of them just in case they don’t work out for me which happens most often than not :(
As soon as I stepped out, my bf said «omg, your face is glowing» :P That ladies, is when you know it’s a good facial!
I’ll be going back again for sure :)

Came here the other day, a friend of mine highly recommended that I come and see Leandra. It was my first time coming here and I am glad I found this place.
Leandra was very sweet and knowledgeable. Leaving there, I felt like I had a better understanding my skin and had my best facial experience by far. I look forward to going back in a few week.

I’ve gotten 4 facials here, and I was decently pleased, until this past week.
I started seeing Angel back in April, and I kept going back for the next few months. She recommended all sorts of expensive products, but I trusted her and was convinced by her and the other spa employees that it would work. She seemed reasonably understanding of the fact that I didn’t want to spend $ 500 per month on my face, although it ended up averaging about $ 250 per month.
Something Angel told me that I found interesting… I asked if I could buy the same products at Sephora or other places since I don’t live in Burlingame. She said they stop carrying products if Sephora has them because their customers try to comparison shop and get a better deal then. She said they’d stopped using some products that worked really well and were very popular because they aren’t about being reasonably priced. It’s all about the benjamins here. I should have gotten the hint…
I got a call on Thursday of last week to confirm my Saturday appointment. In the voicemail, they told me the esthetician I’d been seeing before (Angel) is no longer with them. So they rescheduled me with someone else (didn’t even tell me who). Turns out this new girl (Leandra) gave me contradictory advice on everything from how to use the same products to what type of treatments I should be getting (I should be getting more frequent more expensive treatments of course!). And to top it off, she convinced me I had to get this $ 100 serum. I’m not poor (I wouldn’t have gotten monthly facials up until this week otherwise), but $ 100 for one ounce seems like a scam, and I feel betrayed.
Random note: I’d never gotten extractions before, and I’m really glad I did, but they hurt. A lot. And make sure you don’t have plans for that evening, since my face looked super blotchy and red when I went out for dinner later last night. Like I was embarrassed and would have put on a ton of makeup if I weren’t afraid of destroying whatever benefits I should have been getting from this expensive and painful treatment. I’m also still trying to figure out why picking at acne yourself is bad but extractions are good…
Also, make sure you book an appointment really far in advance. They aren’t open on Sundays or evenings, and Saturdays fill up months in advance. To make it even worse, of the four appointments I had here, at least one was rescheduled by the esthetician because of a scheduling mix-​up or something…
I’ll admit I think my skin looks a little bit better than it did 4 months ago. Although maybe I just spend a lot more time looking at it now. Either way, I don’t think it’s worth the well over $ 1000 spent and lots and lots of hours and that unpleasant feeling of buyer’s remorse.
Overall, if you have lots of extra money and enjoy being sold overpriced serums, this is a nice place. But if you’d rather be able to trust the esthetician’s recommendations and feel valued beyond your credit card, look elsewhere. That’s what I’m doing now.

I have never had a facial before and I am getting to the «age» where one needs to really start taking care of their skin. When I saw the Groupon for this facial, I didn’t even hesitate, I immediately bought it. However, having never had a facial before, it took me quite a bit of time to work up the nerve to actually book the facial. Of course, by the time I got around to calling for an appointment, they were booked out past the expiration date of the Groupon. They graciously extended my Groupon for me and booked me with Jaime.
My facial was amazing. It was relaxing, my skin looks and feels great. Jaime is low key, friendly, informative, and made the entire experience calm and relaxing.
Did I mention amazing and relaxing?

Lisa is awesome! This is my first time here (Groupon), and it was an excellent experience. I wasn’t a frequent spa-​go-​er until this experience, now I’m hooked!
Lisa did exfoliation, extraction, mask, etc. She cleared up lots of blackheads without any scarring. She also removed the milia that were closest to the surface of the skin, and backed off of those that were too deep to avoid scarring. My face was pink and a little blotchy afterwards, but that went away in a few hours.
It’s been about 2 weeks, I’m approaching my period, and so far, no signs on massive pimple! I’m sure it will take more sessions to really maximize the benefits though.
Lisa wrote out her recommendations for my skin care routine and product. They use Jan Marini products here, which I choose not to splurge on at this time. It’s Oil of Olay for me until I strike it rich!. She didn’t pressure me to buy anything, which I appreciate.
