Solar Elements Body & Wellness specializes in combined modality Massage Therapy that releases tension held deep within the body, while replenishing, cleansing and expanding one’s energy center to take you to another dimension. While being thorough and nourishing, Dena Shulruff listens intently to your goals for the session, applying knowledge and expertise to restore physical mobility and function. Her goal is to provide an intently relaxing, yet focused therapeutic experience. Many current and previous clients have found exceptional healing for post-​surgery shoulder pain and mobility, sciatic pain, scoliosis, lower back, joint and neck trauma. Solar Elements Body & Wellness will leave your skin feeling smooth and nourished, using only high quality organic oils and butters, hand blended and customized with doTERRA aromatherapy therapeutic grade essential oils.

Modalities:

Physical/​Metaphysical techniques include Bowen style techniques, Cranial Sacral Balancing, and Vibrational Healing Massage Therapy.

Energy (light to no touch) techniques include Reiki & Vibrational healing, and my own flavor of energy field expansion that I do… that I honestly don’t fully comprehend, but it works and feels great! Reiki masters have told me it’s different from Reiki and that’s all I can say. I facilitate the healing process.

Physical Modalities offered include Lymphatic massage, Myofascial release, Trigger Point, Deep Tissue, Sports, Swedish, and Reflexology/​Acupressure.

History

Established in 2004.

While new to Burlingame, Dena has been a certified massage therapist for over 10 years, beginning her *informal* training at age 6! She loved working on pets, babysitters, family and family friends. She began her formal training at the World School of Massage and Holistic Healing Arts in 2004. Her previous practice in the Sacramento area from 2005 – 2013 «Dena Has Healing Hands» moved to Burlingame and has transformed into «Solar Elements Body and Wellness» to better describe the holistic and encompassing, mixed-​modality, beaming & sunny approach to her work.

While also a lifelong massage therapist, Dena’s interests include all types of art and design, photography, product development, cooking, music and dance, specifically singing and writing songs. Other work experience includes jewelry design and sales, food service management, retail management and health industry product consulting. She has been golfing on & off since 1997 and also enjoys rollerblading, hiking, tennis, and Cross Fit. She is as well a professional fashion model and is finishing her degree in Therapeutic Recreation, which showcases her passion for helping others succeed and grow.
