Crystal Springs Golf Course

Great golf course, fast pace, nice staff and awesome food at the pub and grill! Highly recommend the course! Tyler from the Pro Shop was so kind and the cheeseburger was great!!! I will be back to golf again with my husband!!!

Just finished all my Christmas shopping at the pro shop! Tyler and Pio helped me pick out jackets, shoes and shirts for all my family. My husband and family golf here all the time and rave about the scenic course and pace of play. Had lunch and a drink in the pub and grill. Double cocktail for only $ 2 more??? YES PLEASE! Will definitely come back for lunch and a drink the next time my husband goes to golf!

It’s a dog patch! Not a customer friendly golf facility either. Only 7 minutes between tee times. Not enough parking and not enough carts on the weekend. Didn’t get our cart until we tee’d off which was running half hour late. Only played 9 because we lost patience waiting at every tee box. Very, very dry conditions. Greens were in decent shape. Some beautiful views. I’ll never go back.

Played last Saturday and gave up after 9. It took us over 3 ½ hours to get through those nine holes. What a complete waste of time. I will never go there again.

Embarrassing. They held a 60 person tournament at 2 pm. At 2:10 they started letting teetimes off! No notice was given to this. Paid full price to play behind a tournament. Pace of play was terrible. Marshals did nothing about it. 3.5 hours through 11 holes and then I had enough and left. Money back please

they let 5 somes WALK on this course. You might as well close Crystal Springs if you care that little for the experience. A 5.75 hour on a Tuesday morning round is not Ok.
And if you are going to sand the tee boxes and and greens, maybe care.
I was very excited to play this scenic course but I promise you will be aggravated.

Played early, 7am tee time, so enjoyed a sub 4 hour round. Beautiful scenery with some challenging holes. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the horrible conditions of several greens. I will definitely play here again, but early.

I wish I knew where to begin with this shithole of a «course». This course seems to be run strictly by pedophiliac marshalls and nasty old members. Don’t even get me started on the shitty appearance and ghastly looking driving range that also seemingly seems to be run by no one. The nets surrounding the range are peeling away like the dead skin of an Arizona Diamondback rattlesnake. They also have the nerve to charge you $ 13 a bucket for yellow rotting golf balls and an equally rotting view. This course must be run by monkeys who think they can get away with charging you $ 80 for a 7 hour round of golf. I proceeded to go into the pro shop to inquire about the 7 hour round of golf but all I got was a big fuck you and an open invitation to their evening circle jerk that takes place every evening. Talk about nasty and unprofessional. Btw the food here will give you gonorrhea and put a massive dent in your wallet. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. Thank you. Diu Lay.

Just hit on the range, but I’m not a huge fan of the «mats only» setup. Other than that, great conditions, and in the always-​sunny peninsula.

I suggest you play this course to come to your own conclusions. My conclusion is that I will never play here again. It’s a excruciatingly slow course in terrible condition. It is not unheard of to play five hours here. Golf should not take more than three hours but the cumulative affect of golfers taking too long to swing, putt and look for their ball becomes a train wreck.

Looking for a 6 hour round of golf? Maybe set a new record and play in 7 hours? This is your place. Slowest round of golf in Northern California behind Tilden Park. The good news is there are plenty of views to take in while you wait 15 minutes on each tee box.

We all thought this would never happened. After all, they met in high school, lived together for the past 10 years, it would only be fitting to say, «YES I DO!» «Finally,» I whispered to my aunt who wanted a girl! Boys run in our family. Everyone keeps «tryin,» but no girls in sight! And so the saga continues!!! Sigh! LOL
Crystal Springs Golf Course is a beauty! Overlooking the reservoir with luscious greens, a perfect picturesque for a wedding moment! Truly breathtaking!
If and when my time comes to tie the knot, Crystal Springs might be in consideration, and I would definitely want a «Donna Summer» theme of «Bad Girls» with «Frankie Valle» singing, «Beauty School Drop Out“from the movie «Grease!»
The wedding planner was fantastic. She had that same walkie-​talkie that «JLO» used from the movie «The Wedding Planner,» minus the fall in San Francisco with «McConaghey» catching her! That only happens in the movie, right?
The wedding planner was also on point, took everything in control, and then she signaled with her «talkie» machine, and then the music started, then came the pedals of roses that started to paved for the bride to be, to the walk the aisle!
The reception was provided by Wedgwood Banquet Center, located up above the golf course. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests so I was told, but coming from a Filipino heritage, and if you have ever seen the movie, «My Big Fat Greek Wedding,» then you get the picture that the headcount doubled in size! You see, when you invite Filipinos for two, you get the package deal, «The Whole Family!»
The food was delicious, it came piping hot. The prime rib was fantastic, and they even provided several vegetarian dishes. That was sooo cool! The indoor ambience was glamour-amour…with shape of hearts everywhere… with wow centerpieces! Music was a great mix of hip hop, pop and jazz, and during an intermission, a «Tony Orlando» CD… somehow managed itself to play on tune… and…

If you are looking for a venue to host your wedding, this place has got it all. Breathtaking views, great indoor banquet space, and a staff who has everything under control from start to finish!
And for my «cuz» should you happen to read this… I love you BRO!

This place is a true gem to play at. The greens are very picturesque and nice. The driving rage is a mess though. With the drought they have let it dry out. If they irrigate it just goes to the lake so their rational is dumb. However the golf carts etc are always nicely kept as is the clubhouse. Plenary of parking and good play. A bit expensive even for super twilight at 5 but you get what you pay for.

. Now that I got that out of the way, on to the review.
Course was in pretty good shape. Tee boxes were a little bit beat up and could use a little TLC. Greens were pretty rock hard, so don’t expect a 5 or 6 iron to hold on the green. Green speed was moderate — maybe on the fast side. Because of the rock solid greens, there weren’t too many divots. I only had to repair a few, as half the time I couldn’t find one even when landing a beautiful wedge shot from a mile high.
I didn’t have any issues with the carts as others experienced. On the contrary, the carts were pretty nice and had working GPS. Every course should have GPS on carts as it speeds up play by providing yardages. Wanna be Tigers don’t have to walk off their yardages from the nearest sprinkler head.
Driving range was ok. Balls were in good shape. Tough to gauge how far you’re hitting them as you’re hitting into a ravine.
Views are beautiful here. But with beautiful views, you are gonna get some tough golf battling cross winds on many holes. Wind exaggerates your mistakes, and blew up my score.
Would definitely like to give this another shot.

Played this course yesterday for the first time. Payed $ 50 a person with an additional $ 20 to play on a Friday. Wasn’t sure why that was necessary as the course was absolutely not worth $ 70 a player. Brown spots plague this beautiful design of a course and it’s a shame. If they had a proper superintendent to care for it this could be a championship course. Bunkers all raked properly and water was found several times at the tee box. The greens were a different story. Poor watering technique not only left some greens much more wet then others making putting consistently that much more difficult. Though the view was beautiful, I have played much cheaper courses with that were properly maintained.

I want to have a good short holiday with friends on the golf courses last holiday weekend. we stayed and played golf at Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay, CA; I was so happy and enjoyed with my friends on Saturday 2÷15÷14. The next stop is Crystal Springs, Burlingame, which is around 30 minutes away.
Upon arrival, we have noticed that there is no starter; there is no cart, even we paid for golf with cart. We have asked a few times from pro-​shop and finally the carts shown up; We were 15 minutes behind schedules without anyone telling us so. In anyway, 15 minutes behind is no big deal to golfers… We can understand that; but the later scenario has shocked us…
Our cart is dead on the 4^th hole, the replacement cart is not available until later; the beer cart girl mentioned that this has been the case for around 2 weeks that a lot of carts were dead in a few holes, we should file a complaint. After we got the replacement cart, then the next thing is the other cart from my friend was dead on the 7^th hole. We called the pro-​shop and no-​one picked up the phone. We walked to the 9^th hole and one more cart is dead; during the first 9 holes; we have seen over 10 carts along the fairway and cart path were abandoned because they were dead.
We asked the pro-​shop attendant; he said there is no more cart, if he replaces the carts for us, it may eventually die shortly. He said he will issue the full refund because of the situation; but at the end, we only get half of the refund because he said we already played 9 holes. The situation is bad because the assistant manager and you were aware of the situation for quiet sometimes and not do anything to help your customers, e.g. upon booking you should let your customer be aware of the situation and allow the walking rate only…
Money and refund is not matter to us anymore because our holiday weekend is ruined because of this outing at Crystal Springs.
It is a nice and beautiful golf course; but do not play on this one until they have better management and better golf carts.

PRO SHOP: 1 star
The door was locked and looked closed when we first arrived. We circled back after walking the grounds looking for another pro shop and this time it was open. (20 minutes wasted). The shop looked a lil messy and could use some help on the visual displays and carried a very limited number of items. The service was poor, I had some kid give me attitude and consequently did some bad math on some items I bought but I was too lazy to walk back after I noticed the mistake on my receipt.
DRIVING RANGE:
I am a huge fan of automated urban multi-​level ranges but the view here was beautiful and there were deer just lying around at the end of the range. They sat around as grazed confidently knowing that this is was not the type of range pros play at. Although the practice balls were in good shape, the feeder did not have enough buckets for the number of buckets I purchased for the troops. It was obvious that no one bothered to service the area or return the darn buckets which can be quite annoying.
We all hit well that day, the environment was quite relaxing… We’d come back and use the Unilocal deal again and maybe hit the back 9.
