Seriously, i rarely take the time to write any reviews for anyone; However, Autohaus Schmid, rules when it comes to getting your car fixed, especially if it is a Mercedes. Great service, very reliable and Paul is definately doing his job well. If you dont want to waste your time running from mechanic to mechanic. Join a true family Autohaus Schmid Auto Repair on Rollins Rd. One of kind. Beware of the copy cats immation repair shops.

I love this auto shop for fixing my Mercedes and Audi. They specialized in European cars but I do see a Chevy and Mustang once in a while. They are so much more reasonable price than if I take them to a dealer. I do all my schedule maintenance here. When I had to change my lock actuator and brakes for my Mercedes I came here and the prices are good. They are very honest and reputable. Plus they are prompt and reliable. Paul, the owner, is very reasonable with the quotes. It is also very conveniently located just off the Broadway exit of 101. But beware of the exact address as the name Autohaus is very common to several auto shop in the same vicinity.

Truly the best company around. Paul is amazing and his staff is equally amazing and helpful. I encourage everyone to use this company whether it is for their 1962 MBZ or their 2014 BMW. Thanks guys.

I was very unhappy with the service I recieved here. They were unable to tell me what was wrong with my car and were very flip about damaging my window. If you are looking for a low cost /​high quality shop, try looking elsewhere. Its not that they are mean or liars, I just expect more.

I found this place by accident and very happy i did. Was looking to get Service Level D done on my Benz and was quoted $ 400 by a few independent shops. Paul — the owner, not only took me in on a Friday afternoon on a whim, he gave me a great quote that was much cheaper than anyone else that I looked around for. He got my car done within 1.5 hours with no appointment. Very professional job — the big kicker for me was when he found a service that was needed with my fuel pump. This would have cost me easily $ 2500+ but he honestly told me that Mercedes might have an extended warranty service on it. He made a call and confirmed his assumption. I’m not sure how many other shops would have done what he had done for me. I am no expert with my car and i would have never done the research but he was kind enough to help me out and give me sound advice.
He also fixed /​cleaned up a couple of issues that my previous mechanic had failed to take care of including resetting all the system codes so everything is nice and tidy in the report. Being OCD, i appreciate attentiveness to detail like that.
I highly recommend Paul and his mechanics to anyone that is frustrated with dealership prices and service!

Have taken my car to Autohaus Schmid for a couple years now. Paul and his team are great. They have never steered me wrong. I trust these guys to fix my car and do it at a reasonable rate.

I never thought I’d be writing a review about an auto repair place, but they’re so good that I have to! It all started with my VW Jetta in 2002. Almost 10 years and 3 cars later (2 for my husband), Autohaus Schmid is the first to place I call when I’m having car problems. I know I can trust them to tell me what’s wrong with my car, give me a fair price, and quick turnaround. I also love the early bird drop-​off and after-​hours pick up as I haven’t always been able to make it during business hours.
The cars we’ve owned over the years are a VW Jettas, Honda Civic, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Highlander, and now Huyndai Elantra. Each car has been well cared-​for. I have paid extra $$$ to have my car towed from Petaluma late on a Friday night to Autohaus Schmid in Burlingame just so I had peace of mind that my car was going to be fixed properly. Paul even gave me his cell phone number so I could call him anytime while it was in his shop.
I recently purchased a used 2008 Huyndai Elantra. While the car looked great on the outside, I was unsure what it looked like on the inside. I asked the dealer if we could drive it all the way from Albany to Burlingame and they said no problem. Within 5 minutes of bringing the car to Autohaus Schmid, it was up on the rack being inspected. They were done within 30 minutes. It was because they said the car was in great condition that I went back to the dealer and immediately purchased the car.
Paul and Mike have been great to me over the years. I am such a «girl» when it comes to cars and they do a great job of explaining what’s going on with my car so that I can understand what’s wrong with it and also breaking down the cost to get everything fixed.

These guys had been doing my in-​laws MCB for years so this is why I decided to take my new baby to them for an oil change. What happened was a nightmare. I picked up my MCB after it’s oil change and jumped onto 101 heading back home. Within minutes my car began to smoke. I drove right back to them car smoking and all. They said there was a faulty gasket and that was why all the new oil leaked out and began to smoke. They replaced the oil and put in new parts. When I got home, I popped the engine and noticed oil ALL OVER. Oil was also all over the undercoat of my car, the rims, EVERYWHERE. It was a complete mess. My husband called them up and we were asked to bring the car back in for a heat power spray. They did that but it still was bad. We decided to take the car to the dealership in Belmont for them to professionally clean it and remove all the oil. Autohaus Schmid did pay for this. The problem I had with them was that they did not refund me for the original oil change — I felt that since it caused so much of a hassel time wise, lot’s of stress, that I should never had to have paid for the service. Their customer service is BAD.

I’m normally skeptic of reviews that seem too good, however these guys deserve it. (we arrived at about 1pm) Didn’t upsell us, Didn’t BS, and didn’t snub any of my many questions and got the diagnostic and repair done before he closed. Our engine light was on but it turned out more simple that we thought. He explained the repair to us and showed us the bad part. I liked that he was down to earth and easy to talk to. If I ever needed work in the area again I would use these guys.

I have been looking for a good and qualified independent MB mechanics for a while. My car started to make a unhealthy noise since a few weeks ago and my search for a mechanics became a priority in my list to do.
Well, I found one thanks to you all for your reviews.
Paul, who is an owner/​operator, is very nice, friendly, and courteous. He explained everything regarding what needed be done on my MB in plain and understandable terms. He founded right away after listening to the noise that my car needed to have its catalytic converter replaced and gave me an estimate and time frame.
I expected for them to have my car over night since the service B was needed along with the stated problems and the parts had to be ordered. However, to my surprise, they finished the job in the afternoon and I got my car on the same day! As the other Unilocal members attested, they are efficient and reliable, and honest.
I will have my car serviced at Autohaus Schmid from now on.

I cant say enough about how Honest, Reliable and Trustworthy this shop is! They know what there doing. Paul is just AWESOME… This shop doesn’t take advantage of there customers. Clean work! I bring my 740i BMW there and will continue to do so. His employees are very knowledgeable too! Keep up the GREAT work! I may have to BBQ again for you guys!

I found this place because my car was making a noise that was driving me crazy and no other shop or the dealership could figure it out. I drove around to so many places and spent money at a shop that didn’t even fix the problem.
Autohaus Schmid is honest, reliable and efficient. I take all my cars there, not just my Mercedes. Paul always takes good care of me and reminds me of all the preventative maintenance I need to take care of on my cars. I feel as a women there are only so many places I could take my car without feeling taken advantage of. This is definetely a place you can trust and they have been around a long time.

BEST MERCEDES REPAIR PLACE EVER! I like them b/​c they are trustworthy and their work is reliable. They have always been honest with me about what my car needs (unlike the dealerships that try to add on as much unnecessary work as possible). The Manager, Paul, is really friendly. They specialize in German cars, so if you have a Mercedes or a BMW I would definitely recommend them.

A cooling system failure brought us into this shop last week, and I’m generally impressed with their work. The labor rate is a bit high at $ 135/​hour, but the quality of their work was very good. It’s not hard to figure out what is leaking from a cooling system, but they didn’t just do a quick fix; they replaced the right parts for the long term without wasting any money.
There are lots of Mercedes and BMWs in the shop, showing their interest in German machinery. Also, the folks working there are clearly knowledgeable, seem very honest, and communicated what they did very clearly. I would take my car there if I lived nearby.

Great service! Manager drove me to the office, had great advice… going there from now on.
