When I first started seeing Alina, I was going through a very difficult time in my life. I had gone through a divorce, and a traumatic event that I tried desperately to bury into a deep dark place.
Words cannot express how much Alina has helped me through my recovery. It was honestly an eye opening experience for me, and I cannot recommend her more. I went through a complete process of facing my past, breaking down, and then working together with Alina to come up with a plan of resolution.
Through this whole process Alina was always such a great listener, and asked important questions to make me see a different perspective. In a lot of ways she was my unbiased voice of reason, and gave me the advice and encouragement I needed to move forward.
One thing I think is special about Alina as a therapist is the fact that she incorporates career coaching in her practice, and has true expertise in this area. Every session focused on my needs and decisions whether it was personal life or work related.
Because of Alina, I feel like I’ve regained a lot of self-​confidence and feel more empowered and in control of my own life and happiness. She is a combination of positivity, strength, savviness, and compassion… and has been a true inspiration to me over the last two years.

Alina has been my career coach over the last 3 years and has turned job searches, interviews, workplace challenges and career transitions into nothing but positive RESULTS. I moved to the Bay Area a few years ago and was faced with a hyper competitive job market. With a stagnant job search and unclear career goals, I hired Alina after interviewing a number of other career coaches (both referred and found online). After our first meeting, and my constant efforts, the pace of phone calls– freelance work, job application responses, interviews and job offers– has changed dramatically. The results have far exceeded my expectations. What I liked about Alina is that she did not have a one-​size fits all approach to her coaching. She was open to integrating a lot of the existing work I had done (Life Colors, Meyers-​Briggs, Strenghts Finder, etc) to her practice. Her style is to understand who you are to help reflect that back to you as it applies to your career. This all makes sense in her skill set because she is a licensed therapist. She is really good at understanding people. I did not need a therapist, but it sure helps that she uses these skills as needed. It also helps that her background is in recruiting. Not only does she know the inner working of recruiting teams, she’s also knowledgeable about interviewing and being on the other side of job searches. She can provide insight to a world that can sometimes be mysterious and elusive. She is an absolute professional, which I value. She is reliable, engaged and responsive. She’s incredibly talented in strategy. She talks through pros and cons, asks the right questions, hears you out, and can read you well enough to project back a solution that makes most sense for you. She’ll help you formulate what to say and how to say it. Her mind is incredibly bright and organized. She can process your thoughts and questions in an organized way, and she is able to extract what’s relevant even when you don’t think you have the answers. I’ve worked through many firsts with Alina– identifying my «calling», managing multiple offers, etc. and she’s given me the confidence to execute and learn from the experiences. I believe you’ll come to appreciate this respect for her too as she continues to accomplish great things in her private practice, career coaching and recruiting. She continues to be my go-​to call when I need a solid point of view in my career.

I have been working with Alina as a career coach for about a year and she has helped me navigate through numerous situations, opportunities and challenges at work. I especially love Alina’s openness and friendliness, she makes you feel right at home. Not only does Alina dish out excellent advice based on her work experience, but she takes the time to listen to my individual needs, situations and feelings. My favorite part of working with Alina is that she gives me «homework» to work on so that I can put into practice just what we’ve talked about. And the next time we meet, we discuss how the «homework» played out and what worked well or didn’t work about the situation.
All in all, Alina is a wonderful coach and mentor and she encourages and pushes me to be the best I can be at work and with my career. I’m so happy I found her!

i am a mother of a teenager and have been struggling with our relationship. i found alina baugh due to a convenience of her office location. alina built trust with my teen very quickly and i already see a difference in my teen’s attitude. my teen seems to be looking forward to the sessions and is not walking around the house with constant anger. i can’t wait to see what else is in store for my teen and i.

I came to Ms. Baugh in a desperate state and after being referred to her by my friend, a former client of hers that she helped tremendously and it showed. I was dealing with intense feelings of rage towards my family. My father was an alcoholic and my mother in serious denial which caused me great great pain. I was unable to be heard by them so internalized everything. I would impulsively loose my cool, had no gauge on my emotions and would fly into fits of fury. Alina helped me to gain self awareness and self control. She helped me gain the ability to notice what I was feeling and thinking and to truly be present in any given moment. She taught me to take some precious seconds, minutes between feeling the strong emotions and controlling myself from taking actions I would later regret. I am so happy I finally did it! I’ve felt for years I should really try talking to someone, but never had the courage, time, or commitment. I’ve come to a point in my life where I have everything going for me; success, friendship, comfort, but I’ve never been able to build a successful relationship. In speaking to my doctor she referred me to Alina. I’ve only been meeting with her for a couple of months, but I am truly starting to feel a lot easier about life. I know it’s going to take a lot of time to heal, but she making me look at things from a totally different perspective. She’s not at all what you would think about a therapist.
