Be Advised I’d Prefer a Root Canal Over Interacting With This Office:
I’d gone to this dentist for almost 15 years and then had a bad experience with one of back office staff. After telling her that I would need to schedule an appointment into the next month (for a simple cavity filling) due to me traveling to Mexico. She proceeded to tell me that I «should spend my money on my teeth, rather than going on vacation to Mexico.» This is a direct quote. Its still emblazened in my mind– that is how rude it was. After this comment I went to a different dentist for several years. This last month I decided to give this office another try because they are open on Fridays (unllike my other dentist) and are close to my new house. Also the dentist does a fine job as far as dental work is concerned. The recent cleaning and x-​rays I had were okay in terms of experience; the price however was not. AFTER my insurance (keep in mind that I have decent dental insurance) for a simple cleaning and x-​rays I had to pay over $ 70 out of pocket. I paid the bill in full at the office and subsequently received another bill for around $ 3. Why the extra bill? I called and left a voicemail over the weekend. The following Tuesday they still had not called me back. I called again and she explained that what they originally bill you for is just «an estimate and they don’t know what your insurance will pay.» HUH? I’ve never experineced this at my other dentist. Furthermore during the same conversation she said she couldn’t adjust the bill (all $ 3 of it) because «we’ve made accomodations in the past.» When I asked her what she was referring to she said that «you missed your appointment in 2006.» Yes, she brought up a missed apppointment 9 YEARS AGO!
I’m actually looking forward to my next dental appointment elsehwere because I know that there is no possible way I’ll encounter staff who are this rude!

Awesome! I love my dentist. I’ve never been kept waiting, they always make me feel comfortable, and I have never had to worry about any surprise charges. Everything is discussed up front. They have TV’s above the dentist chair so you don’t get bored sitting there. The staff are also very nice and helpful. I can’t tell you how much I love this place!

I see Dr. Calvo (the brother) and I absolutely love this office. I rarely experience anxiety over dental visits, but should you feel nervous, they are all awesome about making you comfortable.
The staff are great and it really feels like everyone gets along. As I was getting a filling done (mind you, I was juiced up on Nitrous for the first time because I was told it would «take the edge off») the dentist and his assistant were laughing and telling jokes.
I have never had an issue with billing and I never wait for longer than 5 minutes to be seen. I highly recommend this family office. Because it is so small and family owned, you definitely get a comfortable vibe!

I started coming to Dr Calvo-​Waldbaum about 2 months ago and am really glad I did. She was very upfront with me about the work I needed to get done and made a great plan to save me some money and get critical work done. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. They are very accomodating, they offer nitrous oxide to help the pain and give you the choice of listening to the radio or watching TV during your procedure. They do keep the office quite cool so wear long-​sleeves!

Dr. Toni Calvo-​Waldbaum is a fantastic dentist. This place really makes it a (relativity) painless process. The office has lots of great magazines if you have to wait (I rarely have to wait more than five minutes) and you are always offered water or tea (wow!).
Once you are ushered in you notice that there are flat screen tv’s on the ceiling. You get sunglasses and a remote and pretty much get to sit-​back and watch cable! Super!
Scheduling is usually pretty easy and the office staff remembers you after just one visit. They are great at following up with insurance stuff and are very helpful!
They always give you a fantastic bag of treats (floss, paste, brushes, etc…) as you leave for parting gifts!
