History

Established in 1988.

Beautiful Custom Stairs is a family owned business that has specialized in building custom stair systems for homes and offices since 1988.

Loren Dugan has an eye for detail and the mindset of a cabinet maker & has been building fine wood products for more than 30 years. As a teen, he was an apprentice in a family owned cabinet shop working with his step father, a cabinet maker and stair builder. As a young man, he worked in various phases of residential construction including framing, finish work and cabinetry.

Loren began building stairs in 1988 as a subcontractor for a well-​known stair and mantel company formerly located in Kirkland. B. Loren Dugan Construction was incorporated in 1992. To better reflect the nature of the business & to more precisely describe what we do, we changed our name to Beautiful Custom Stairs in 2008.
