Had our house insulated by Viking! Everyone there was very professional, from the receptionists to the bosses! I would highly recommend them to everyone! Keep up the great work and Thank you!

After over 5 years of doing business with Viking Insulation, and paying them tens of thousands of dollars, I just had the HANDS DOWN WORST experience with any subcontractor I’ve ever had. That’s not an understatement.
Here’s what happened: Yesterday afternoon my salesperson promised that she would call me first thing this morning about scheduling work. When I didn’t hear from her, I called the office. Their receptionist answered the phone, and advised me that the salesperson was out of the office all day. I explained to her that I needed to speak with someone senior, as I was now in a bad position. I specifically told her that I was «getting very grumpy.» Her response was, «Haha, I hear that all the time.»
So, I went on to tell her that there is nothing funny about delaying someone’s construction project, nor is it funny that my clients are living without a kitchen or family room. When Jeanette continued to giggle, I told her to «please stop laughing at me,» and to put me on the phone with one of the owners. She then became extremely irate, told me to «stop acting like a d@#!», that her title was «Queen», and that I would not get to speak with anyone unless she decided to put me through. I was then placed on hold, so I hung up and called my long time salesperson.
Turns out the receptionist is his daughter, and that according to him, «there’s no way she could ever get fired.» Further, he also seemed to find it amusing that I was upset, and commented that he thought his daughter’s comments were funny. I was then transferred to an owner, who immediately decided that I was to blame, and refused to listen to me at all.
I fired them immediately from two separate projects.

As a C-​2 contractor (HANDLE IT ACOUSTICS # 999 848) , my specialties are ceilings. I recently bid a job that involved taking t-​bar ceilings apart so I could use a scissor lift. To repair craft paper that started falling down in different areas. (the paper was installed properly, but was painted after installation. Increasing it’s weight. Duhh!) Bottom line, There expertise in identifying and selling the materials needed to complete my project , saved me. I learned a lot. And will be for ever greatful. F.y.i. the material I bought comes in rolls. With my description and pictures they cut everything for me to the exact size that I needed. Needless to say my project. Was a success. The customer was delighted. If your a pro. These guys rock.

Great service, these guys have me a great price for OC 703, cut fsk for me, and when I didn’t have any room in my car, offered to send their car with me

Sales people are nice. But if you have ANY kind of problem and have to talk to the owner., just give up and walk away. Only grief and anger will follow.
The one star is not an anomaly.

A very nice fellow, Rob, came out for an estimate for our attic.
Rob showed up on time.
He showed up clean and dressed professionally.
After he measured our house, and checked out the attic, he went over the process thoroughly. He was very patient with all my questions.
Just based off of Rob, I would hire this company.
Still have to price out a few others, if Viking is competitive, I will go with them.
This company does not deserve the one star review, based on a guy who just wanted to buy insulation he could get at a store.

I’m a studio builder, studio owner, and sound engineer for many of the biggest studios in LA for the past 10 years. I began doing business with Viking about a month ago buying 10 bags for a small studio project. I called yesterday morning to order some more Roxul insulation for my next studio — and was told to call back around lunch time. I offered my phone number, but was told by the man to instead call the company back at lunch time to speak with someone else because he was «too busy» at the moment, even to take down my number. I called back at lunch, and spoke with a a nicer gentleman about buying bags at $ 45 per bag — and was told by him he would have to ask someone about the price, so he took my number and said someone would get back to me. I then waited patiently all day — and nobody returned my calls. Lastly, I called this morning again to place my order — and was told by that first employee from the day before that I could have the insulation at $ 60 per bag instead of my former $ 48. I asked if he could at least match his old price — at which point the man said he «doesn’t give a rats ass» where I get my insulation — but he wasn’t going to sell it to me. Then he hung up on me. I called back to make sure that it wasn’t the line that got disconnected — and after having asked if he hung up on me he said «well I’m not going to sell you any insulation so I figured our conversation was over…»
