US Post Office

The employees are nice and the parking lot is appreciated, but the DIY /​packaging area was very poorly stocked. I was looking for the USPS envelopes so I could just package it myself and use the automated machine.
It is a VERY small post office! Do not be fooled by the cool, retro exterior. It’s like a postage stamp in there (hardee har har).

They ship and deliver mail and have free parking. What more does a post office need?
I’ve only ever had positive experiences with the staff and facilities. Except, you know… It’s a post office.

It’s not the worst post office by far, but one of the men upfront likes to take his sweet sweet time when shipping multiple packages. I went in with 10 small packages and it took about 20 min of standing there, waiting and watching him sigh to himself after each one. He was not even friendly and ignored most of my dialog.

Love their spirit here. Branch not open until another 30mins, but ajjuma postal lady came out to help me purchasing some international stamps.
I found a note scotch taped onto the stamp kiosk, I cracked up by their black sarcastic humor. (Please see for yourself)

i set up a pick up request on line ⁵⁄₅ and it barely got picked up ⁵⁄₈ grrrrrrr, I’ve was on hold with 1−800-ASK-USPS for 45 min on the 5^th and the 6^th being told both times it would be picked up the next day, the 6^th they said my case was escalated to consumer affairs and they would be calling the post office directly then on the 7^th I was on hold 38 min and supposedly a manager called the post office directly which is the one on Hollywood Way in Burbank and was told they would send someone over to pick it up. Never happened and I don’t believe they really did speak to anyone because I’m 99.9% sure those people leave the phone off the hook on purpose. I used to have the greatest carrier «Anna» and she retired, now I have this lady who looks like she is going to bite your head off and you can tell she absolutely hates her job. So I go on line and scheduled another pick up for the 8^th and she picked it up and she made it a point to slam my screen door when she did it. I hate Burbank!!! It has changed so much throughout the years. But beware of this particular post office their customer service totally sucks big time!!! I’m sure even bad reviews doesn’t even affect them.

Terrible experience…
After doing an online postage & weighing my package on FedEx scales at my workplace (3lbs and 12 ounces), the USPS scales at this place say it’s just over 4lbs, and then they won’t allow me to send it via 1^st Class mail. I check it on another scale there and that’s 4 ounces off. Clearly they don’t calibrate scales here. Smart ass redhead lady who works there says «Do a better job next time».
Depressing place, almost as bad as a DMV. Use FedEx instead…

I’ve never really had a problem with this branch. They have always been helpful and speedy. They always recommend the more affordable or quickest option, whatever I need at the time. Just don’t go during peak hours (before closing) and you be good! Also bring your own tape, packing supplies and marker.

I had to drop off a couple of packages here this past weekend. All of my packages had pre-​paid labels and were ready to be shipped out. I asked a staff member a simple question, just asking where I should put the boxes. The woman looked at me with a raised eyebrow, looked away, and then pointed to a counter without even making eye contact with me. I always try to «kill them with kindness» when I’m in these types of situations so I thanked her and told her that I hoped she would have a great rest of her day. To this, she did not respond.
The last time I was here, I had to ship out a birthday present and apparently they now charge for you to buy your own tape gun to tape your package shut.
I feel harsh marking my review as only 1 star but I have had such upsetting experiences here. The staff has always been so incredibly rude, it’s mind-​blowing. They certainly are not friendly and do not make you feel welcome.

Went in today with my girlfriend’s elderly mother to get priority boxes for mailing Xmas presents and they couldn’t have been more rude and stupid. Apparently the days of walking into a post office and purchasing supplies to mail your stuff are over. They acted like the Flat Rate mailing boxes were made of gold and we were going to break the whole USPS’ budget if we took 3 of them. No tape or anything for sale so we had to just take the boxes we and leave. Kind of surprised that Burbank is this bad. Someone else also commented on their box stinginess.

and order priority boxes for free and have them delivered to your house for free.

This is a great location for to have a PO BOX. for $ 175 a year you get a decent size box. They just added 40 X-​Large and 60 Large box to the inventory. The location is very convenience since it’s around the shopping area, the mall, movie theaters, and has a Large public parking and it’s always well staffed.

I shipped a package out earlier this month and it arrived damaged. This is inexcusable especially because they charged more for special handling, and not only did I verbally tell the clerk that there was something fragile inside, but I wrote all over the package «Do NOT Flatten!» and «Handle with Care!» I do not know how much more clear I can get! So the recipient of the package was disappointed, as was I, and she mailed it back to me so I could fix it. So today I go in to get a refund, and the clerk says there’s no supervisor there! Are you kidding me?! He said I’d have to go to another post office. It’s not worth the money in gas or my time to do that, and it’s not really the $ 6.96 I’m worried about but it’s the principle of the matter! I even went online to file a claim, and the website wouldn’t allow me to. (The website is just as incompetent as their workers!) I can’t tell you how frustrating and infuriating their whole system is, and I’m really looking forward to using FedEx or UPS next time. Those companies might actually hire people that care, or can at least READ English! All I want is a refund and a credit to re-​ship my fixed item. They should actually do more considering the amount of my time they’ve wasted, and leaving me to write this review as a result. NEVER AGAIN, USPS!!!

The worst customer service!
The display full of grab-​it-​yourself flat rate boxes and envelopes was depleted, I kindly asked for one box from the lady in the back her only response was a very dry unhelpful «you’ll have to wait.» Umm ok? A few minutes go by and I ask the lady putting mail into the pot boxes for a flat rate box and she started asking me what am I going to mail… Umm none of your business slash why does it matter? And she tells me to come back in an hour. Wtf? I JUST need a box that is supposed to be available for free why can’t you just give me one??? So frustrating

Beautiful old building. They just redid the front lawn and iron fencing all around. 1937. Just don’t make them like this anymore.

There’s no pens for customers to use… Weird. How can no pens be out for customers to edit or finish their packages. And it’s very dark in there

Absolutely awful. This is hands down the worst post office I have ever been to.
The building is old, dingy, not well lit, and clearly not maintained. A cleaning crew and some lightbulbs might be nice.
Yes, there is a long line. I know the post office isn’t exactly known for speedy service, but the employees here made no effort to help customers in a quick, timely manner. It’s like they’re all moving in slow motion.
Which brings up the main problem here: Rude Employees. It’s as if they went out of their way to be UNHELPFUL. Ignoring me in line. Refusing to give me change at the first window. Making me wait in ANOTHER line for the second window. Basically brushing off any and all concerns or questions I had. The employees here acted as if I was interrupting them by even showing up.
Not to mention nothing is labeled to be easily visible: Where is the parking lot entrance? Where is the beginning of the line? Is this a push or pull door?
My advice? There’s a FedEx literally a block up the street. Go there. Or, if you must use the USPS, go to the Glendale location at 6444 San Fernando Road.

This is my favorite USPS, if there is such a thing…
I don’t come here often, as it’s not convenient for me. But if I’m out for breakfast and need to go, this is the place. It doesn’t open until 10AM, but there is a self-​service machine to weigh/​send packages. The line is usually short and quick, and the clerks are friendly. It is conveniently located around the corner from Chase Bank and Granville Café, my favorite breakfast place!

Surly and slow workers, dingy interior, this place has it all! I live nearby and have been coming here for almost 8 years. I can walk to it so that’s why I return. No matter what time of day, there is a 30min line of people. The do-​it-​yourself machine is nice but the door in the wall to drop your packages in is always locked shut! So it forces you to go inside and hand the package off to a disgruntled worker. Also if you use the machine and ship something Priority (2day), there are no 2-​day stickers around to put on the package thus forcing you inside again to ask a hating-​life worker for some stickers.
All in all, a miserable experience every time I go there.

Came in at exactly 5:00 pm sharp & they closed on me.
Luckily there was a self serve machine and I am able to get my mail sent out.
I definitely waited until the last minute to get business done but at least I got it done. There was a long line inside and it didn’t look like it was happy or moving, in fact it looked like Disneyland.
Thank God this place had the self service machine!

Convenient location with ample parking, 3 curb-​side mailboxes, right next to the bus stop and across the bridge from the Downtown Burbank metrolink, this post office is VERY central.
There’s also a wide selection of greeting cards, and they also carry packaging materials. Downside is that sometimes they are out of flat rate boxes at the display stand, so you have to ask at the counter.
The crew is friendly and helpful, and really, it’s not their fault that lines are long. The automated machine is usually empty /​2 – 3 person line, and I’m sure most people can use it for their transaction…
