United Taxi Burbank

These guys are worthless. I tried to use them twice today. The first time they said 5−15mn to get picked up. 30 min later we get picked up. 35 min later we get a call saying our cab is there after we had been in the cab for five mn. Guy was cool. But once I called for a ride back the guy said no cross streets. I said hold for a sec for a street address. The asshole hung up without saying anything. Talk about being a little bitch about it.

Yikes. Rude. Dishonest. Do not use these guys. No wonder Über/​Lyft is taking over Los Angeles.
I called for a cab 30 minutes ago. Never showed up. During my initial call, the dispatch operator was very rude (bad impression). With a promise of the cab showing up in 10 – 15 minutes, there was no cab 20 minutes later. I called again. «He’s about 3 miles away, so he should be there in about 5 minutes». 10 minutes later, no cab. We decided to use Über and cancel the order because our clients were running late to LAX. I called to cancel the cab, and she said they were already picked up. Ummm… They’re right in front of me. They were NOT picked up. «Well, that means he picked up someone else. It’s saying your order has been cleared.» WHY would they accept another passenger (if that was even the truth)? So, if I never thought of canceling, we would be waiting here like schmucks for a non-​existent taxi ride?
Über took our business. Über took 2 minutes to get here.
And… thanks for hanging up on me, United Taxi.

Called for pickup from a hotel. Get in the car and 1) the driver won’t stop looking up and down at my body and smiling as he stared at me (I was taking this cab alone in a city I didn’t know which was scary enough for me); 2) he tells me he’s going to pre-​charge me $ 50 for a ride that wasn’t that far, which I said I wasn’t comfortable with; 3) tried to convince me to stay by lowering the price to $ 40 after I said I wasn’t comfortable with being precharged; and lastly, when I said I’m going to have a friend just grab me instead, he said «but you look so good right now» and continued to beg me to stay with him while staring at my body. I walked out and called the company crying, asking for the person in charge and his response? «I wasn’t there so there’s nothing I can do for you. The man’s English is bad so I don’t know what to tell you.» Oh, so because this taxi driver had bad English, I couldn’t CLEARLY hear him make multiple comments about my body and continue to bug me about taking his cab? And the company wasn’t going to do anything about the things he said to me. Not cool. I will NEVER recommend this cab company to anyone and I highly suggest that no one use them.

I guess they didn’t want my business. We called ahead to be picked up in the morning, but found that they didn’t even bother to dispatch a taxi to my area. My family had to make our own arrangements. I wouldn’t even bother calling them again.

I will not use these people again. Needed a late night cab. Had to call the dispatcher 4 times. Each time, they promised that the cab would arrive in 7 minutes. The person on the phone on the 2^nd and 3^rd call was terse and uncaring. After standing on the curb for an hour, the cab finally arrives. The only redeeming factor was that the driver himself was very polite and apologetic, and confused since his pick-​up order only came 10 minutes prior.
I would rather the company just tell me it will take an hour that lie 3 separate times. I think they have lost one more person to Über.

A pretty good Taxi Service Company. I’ve used them to get home a couple of times. They treat you nicely… if you tip them highly. :)

They didn’t show up at all– but at least they called 2 minutes before to say they were looking for a cab. I guess I was a little out of the way but they didn’t want to just tell me that. I reserved 24 hrs prior and had a flight to catch. Beware.

After reading all the bad reviews, I requested an 11am pickup for my 130pm flight at Bob Hope Airport. I figured, «OK. if he’s late, at least I have time to spare,» right? T. T But to my surprise, my driver was right on time! He arrived in an SUV, which was nice and roomy. He greeted me and helped put my stuff in the trunk then took me straight to the airport — no «scenic routes» or BS, which is good for him cuz Im a local lol. My ONLY complaint is that the car smelled slightly of smoke, and that the car has a security camera. Makes sense. What if he gets robbed or something? But I didnt like the idea of lil olé me being taped/​photographed –_​– Anyhoot. Great experience overrall!

I would definitely NOT recommend this taxi service. I called last night on NYE to get a cab… knowing that it would take a long time for a cab to arrive because of the holiday. Well finally I got through to a operator who was completely rude and demanded my address. When I gave it to her, she asked me «north or south?» I took a moment to ask my friend if it was north or south and then I replied «I believe its north… it is above Glenoaks.» In the middle of me explaining where the street is she hung up on me. Don’t they have google? Like seriously there is no reason to be so rude to me and hang up. When I spelled the street for her, the operator said, «Uh yeahhhh i know how to spell it.» Then why the hell cant you google it and figure out if its north or south?! SO ridiculous.
All of these 1 reviews below are completely accurate. DO NOT USE THIS CAB SERVICE! I would rather walk then have to deal with this company. In fact I ended up calling a family member to pick us up.

Do not use this cab company!!!
They showed up I was outside .
I went inside to get my luggage and the driver left !

I called them to take me to the hospital, not an emergency but, the driver took me via streets when it would have been much faster on the 5. I also called them to pick me up from emergency about an hour and a half later, they couldn’t send any one out cause I didn’t have an address. Do they not know what google is. Waste of time I called yellow cab for a pick up.

I’ve used them twice, and both times were positive experiences.
The first time was from a taxi stand at Flyaway Van Nuys to Studio City. Nice driver.
The second time I called the day before (friendly phone operator and quick no hassle process) to reserve an early Sunday morning pickup to Burbank airport. The taxi driver was at my door ten minutes early, the cab was clean and he didn’t take any ‘scenic routes’.
Both times were great. Nice drivers, standard taxi rates, not the easiest process if you’re trying to use a credit card and you cannot pay in advance over the phone. Cash is preferred.
I will use them again.
They were less expensive than the Black Sedan car services I researched in the area.

SAME THING happened to me as Mary, below comment. Said if I lived so close by he wouldn’t have bothered. Told me he couldnt believe he waited all day just to drive me to my apartment.

Took taxi from BUR airport to home in Burbank, got surprised first time when he asked me–
which way should i go ?
i told him– quickest/​shortest way please .and what is the other way ?
he replied back– there are lot of ways.
(i mean– taxi person knows best route, he was trying to ask my permission to fool me myself),
i told him– take glenoaks.
it was raining and i could not get any sense of direction where he was going. and he kept talking to us to keep us busy in talks.
After 5 min, i switched on my google maps and surprised to see– he took me on top of glenoaks avenue and then started coming south which is 2 miles longer.
1) i complained and he told me– i will take you back ti airport for another taxi .how rude !!
2) he dropped me off, i took pic of taxi and then he told me ‘take another one’…again how rude !!.
i said– i m ok.
3) he told me — get out. i got frustrated and was about to dial 911 but came home and complained to Burbank taxi dispatch, airport operations and United too. Not sure if United will do anything about it.
But Beware. don’t get fooled by taxi people who ask you — which way to take. or trying to keep you busy in their talks while you are being fooled.
I am surely NEVER taking United again!!!

I had a perfectly pleasant experience with this company today. My husband and I only have one car, so occasionally one of us has to make another arrangement. It was 4:00 on a Sunday. I called, had an efficient conversation with the dispatch woman, she said it would be between 5 and 15 minutes, and the guy was parked outside within 5 minutes. He was driving a minivan, which I could have done without, and it wasn’t the cleanest of cars, but service was just fine. Also, I wasn’t subjected to an awkward polite conversation about anything stupid, which was a plus. There was a business-​like exchange, a speedy but safe ride, and a little care from the driver (I’m assuming since I was a woman).

I had the worst experience with this company AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. First, they said that the cab would arrive in 5 to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, when I called them, they said another 3 to 5 minutes. I was now late for the airport. The cab did arrive in 3 to 5 minutes. When I said to the drive that he was late, he told me he only got the call 5 minutes before he arrived.
I gave him the address which was a private company at the Burbank airport. He started going up Cahuenga (which is the route my iphone map showed) but then got on the freeway and started going away from where I needed to be running up the meter. He told me that he knew where he was going, that he was the best and most experienced driver the company had.
I asked him to turn on the airconditioning and he said it only worked in the front seat so he wouldn’t.
Now we are going the wrong way away from my destination and he won’t turn on the air. Further he was arguing with me the whole way about where he was going at the airport; going to the main terminal, instead of the address of the private company. Finally he turned around and went all the way back to where he should have gone in the first place, after running up the fare by over 50%.

My friends and I were frantically looking for some mode of transportation on a Friday NYE night. We’re two girls from out of town staying at a relatives’ house and no way were were going to be stranded there for the night. I called about 10 different numbers, some of which had busy tones or ones that you needed to leave voice messages. After missing a call from one taxi place that was suppose to pick us up (thereby making us miss a taxi) and after one place that took practically 1.5 hours to come, United Taxi came to our rescue 10 minutes after calling them. The taxi was a CLEAN and NICE smelling car with a very polite and honest driver – a very rare combination for any taxi. The night started out with two very cranky, anxious, and dolled-​up girls with no way of getting anywhere to very satisfied customers riding off into a night of fun! Even my friend said, «I actually wanted to tip him!»
