Cash only. Nice little lounge to hangout, drink, listen to jukebox, play darts, and smoke n’ chill at the outdoor patio. Staff was nice and makes awesome drinks. The ambience was nice and loungey The customers were friendly. Great little experience.

Affordable drinks only in Blue room. The place is fine, and the seating is relaxing. The drinks is authentic, flavorful and worth the penny. Not that crowded so, I’ll probably be back.

Poor telephone service!!! I called them at 3:00pm to find out if they have entertainment nights. The person who answered the telephone was useless!!! He told me to call back after 7pm because he knows nothing about it and his tone sounded like he didn’t care either then he hung up the phone. Guess the Blue Room has plenty of customers and would care less about new customers or advertising entertainment. Won’t be referring anyone I know to this dive.

I’d been to this place only one time before and loved the drinks, loved the vibe. So when it came time to choose a bar to ring in 30 at, this place was the only place I wanted to have my gathering. I heard it was going to be jazz night on Thursday, which is great, but wasn’t really looking for that kind of music on my bday. I called to verify that it would be jazz night and the guy I spoke with said if I wanted to bring all my friends here and didn’t want jazz/blues night that they would call off the band. So awesome of them to be so accommodating and kind. Brought a huge group of people and had a blast! Thanks Blue Room for helping make my 30th my favorite birthday yet :)

I like this bar because it’s a nice place to chill. I’ve been there twice and both times it wasn’t terribly packed which I prefer. Bar tender is super cool, made my drinks really strong. It’s a cash only bar as well.

It’s a cool place to hang out if you are looking for a semi-quiet place to chit chat with friends or coworkers. I had a margarita that I wish was a bit stronger. It would’ve helped me get through the night. The best part of the night was watching a couple enter the bar and leaving after an immediate dissatisfaction with the emptiness of the bar.

Not a very clean bar, and very dated. The seats are very uncomfortable, almost ready to be tossed into the trash. I couldn’t stay in it very long, which is okay because I really couldn’t wait to leave. Drinks are pricey and small in size. Maybe if the bartender knew how to make simple drinks, but he didn’t. Hopefully they have a better bartender on the weekends. Will NOT be spending any more money here. Can’t recommend.

The smell of cheap beer and smokes. Great selection of bourbon and whiskey and beers. The place reminds me of all the blue collar bars that don’t exist in Burbank anymore. Been there before but finally got around to writing a review. Love this place.

(Drank 11÷18÷15 W @ 8:30pm and countless boozy nights pre-Yelp): Violets are blue, carnations are pink, I want to hang in this room with you, while we drink and drink and drink! The Blue Room was one of those legendary neighborhood watering holes where almost everyone knew your name(which was good because there were many shitfaced times at this place where I might’ve forgotten mine!). A favorite of mine as a starving college student, a group of us would beeline it here after work at least a couple nights a week. Plus, a friend’s aunt was one of the servers! It was merely by chance that my friend and I found ourselves outside the welcoming warmth of its glowing storefront sign as I inhaled an apple fritter from nearby Faster Donuts. Did this place still have a hold on me after all these years!?: Pyramid Hefeweizen Wheat Ale($ 5.00×2) — At 5.2ABV, as all good«hefers» did, it went down nice and smooth with a light sweet citrusy flavor. I’m a hefer fan! Service — On this slow Wednesday night, we were among only a handful of degenerates who looked for a place where we drank our libation in peace. We easily found two stools at the bar, sat our arses down, ordered two brews from the gentleman behind the bar(didn’t see any other employees), closed out the tab, and happily began guzzling away. All was good in the ‘hood! Parking(Free) — They had a small-to-medium size private lot in the back through an alley. Otherwise, there was plenty of street(non-metered!?) parking along the main drag of San Fernando Rd. and all surrounding side streets. My buddy and I walked from the nearby and newly-opened Brewyard Beer Company, so parking wasn’t an issue for us. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — A dark neighborhood loungy dive bar with an array of fleather aquamarine-colored booths and chairs which helped to fill a somewhat cramped floorplan. There was an equally cramped area with same-colored upholstery that surrounded the fully-stocked bar and a sliver of an outdoor patio warmed by heating lamps and littered with wicker chairs and wooden benches. A bluish warm glow of electric lighting illuminated the inside while dim lighting was used out on the patio; no possible natural lighting unless you considered the street lights for the patio. Your usual assortment of alcohol advertisements were tastefully hung on the walls. There were several TVs everywhere while music blarred from a jukebox. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops…even in the evening; who was I trying to impress?! Overall, The Blue Room was still one of my favorite dive bars and from this most recent experience albeit a short one, the nostalgic charm of its friendly confides still made me feel at home. They had a full bar but wished it had more craft beers. They had Happy Hour but honestly couldn’t tell you the prices. Generally speaking, the prices were comparable to most similar bars. They didn’t serve food but were chill if you brought some from the outside. And from what I remembered from years past, the service was attentive and made sure you were liquored-up! I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(TOTAL paid experience was around $ 10.00BEFORE tip). And although my buddy covered the drinks, this was a CASHONLY(onsite ATM) establishment(my only real knock!) so no credit cards — especially mine of choice… AMEX! 4.0STARS

I fricken love this place! It’s a great dive bar. Cool vibe, strong drinks with prices comparable to most local bars in LA, and they have live music on occasion. Thursdays is Blues night. It’s awesome! The only thing that sucks is it’s cash only. They have an ATM there though. There’s parking available most of the time. I go here often and I always have a good time.

Okay let’s see, Parking area is a little small, but at least it’s not crowded at 10:45pm We get there and it’s a lounge setting all blue chairs and signs No music unless you feed the juke box money And you can play darts but you have to pay When you order your drink you pay right away no such thing as holding a tab Nice bartenders The bar area had some people and the inside lounge area was only crowded by our group of 8ppl If you want to order food they don’t have their own kitchen but they give you a menus to a Mexican restaurant next door where you can order and have them deliver, but we decided to go to the actual place which was a disaster lol so we ended up hopping to the habit burger and brought food back with us to our table. And at 2am lights were up and we got sent home cause they close haha

Looking for a place where the true«locals» go? Looking for a place that’s been around longer than you’ve been alive(most likely)? Looking for value and a great calmed atmosphere? Welcome to The Blue Room. Cheap drinks, no food, but they let you order from next door or bring in your own food. Bartenders are on the spot, fast, and friendly. People come here to talk about their day, discuss happenings in Burbank or to get shit hammered. Thursday nights are a nice treat as they have LIVE Blues. Thursdays through Saturday are their busiest nights, so if looking to socialize, that’s the time to come. Other nights it’s darn quiet. Which is nice if that’s what you’re looking for. You can’t smoke in the bar obviously, but you can smoke out back in their large private patio. Cigars are welcome. Just sit a bit further from the door. ;) They do allow you to vape indoors. So all you vapors are in luck. They have a Touch Tunes jukebox so getting your jams out for all to laugh at is easy from your phone. Sound system is pretty good. Two flat-screens and a digital dart board round out the rest of the available entertainment.(other than the occasional sauced patron) Remember, CASHONLYBAR. They do have a low-fee ATM in the bar, though.

I went there last night to meet someone for drinks. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed myself. All the booths are blue and there is a lot of seating inside. The smoking area outside was surprisingly big and had a lot of greenery. The drinks are fairly priced I got a whiskey and ginger ale which was good and the person I was with ordered a beer that they said was a little old but still drinkable. The bar tender went around to each table and asked if we needed anything this happened about 5 times throughout the evening. Amazing service! My only complain is that the women’s stalls are the size of a telephone booth

Cheap drinks! That’s the best pro of this place! It is really affordable. It’s a spot you go to after a long day for a quick beer to wind down. I enjoyed the fact that one beer didn’t kill my wallet. My date’s drink was a redbull with vodka. Which wouldn’t be my cup of tea on a work day but that too was affordable. The service was quick but not the best. I guess it was a long day but I mean it was a Monday, and the place wasn’t packed when we walked in. I never understand it when businesses don’t strive for outstanding customer service. I know it can be irritating, but it’s expected with any type of business. Parking was convenient but narrow and small. I felt claustrophobic. Make sure to come and park safely. I actually did like the vibe of the bar, but furniture seemed cheap looking. This bar definitely has potential. The fact that it’s been successful for so many years is wonderful. But just like many businesses, it needs upkeep.

Went here for a birthday gathering. It was fun bc we went as a group. Wasn’t too crowded and had a jukebox that played great music. It is cash only so that was tough. Plenty of seating.

This place is very chill! It’s great for hanging out or for going on a date. There are half-circle booths, small tables with padded, comfy chairs that have arm rests. The upholstery and lights are blue, which is great because blue is a very calming and relaxing color. There’s also a nice outdoor patio area for hanging out and/or smoking. They have a wide screen flat TV on the wall and they are flexible with what is put on. They also play music sometimes and there’s a juke box. The two bartenders I’ve seen have both been very nice. I noticed one of them helping an older lady get into a cab one night and I thought that was nice. Every time I get a mixed drink the drink mixing has been perfect! Both bartenders mix up drinks to suit my taste and I’m often preferring to go here rather than other divey spots because of that. Oh and their prices are better than most, but it’s cash only and I always forget that, lol. They do have a little ATM machine inside though!

I love this place. Just the look of it is so very cool — like the 50s or 60s in the best blue way. There is a smoking section in the garden. This place is cash only.

THANKYOU Unilocal! Yes! Yes! Yes! So happy to find this place, thanks to you! We dropped off our son at a friend’s house nearby and I have been sick for a few days so I Unilocaled a place nearby to take my husband to spur of the moment to combat cabin fever. The Corner came up first and was closed. So we went back to the car and I went back to Unilocal.Stayed parked and walked a few feet to The Blue Room. YES!!! Iconic little corner of history. Really cool retro look. Open since the year my much-older-sister was born. ’52! Our minds are reeling with thoughts of all that has gone down and all whom have walked through these doors. Cuuuute little patio out back. Of course it’s for the smokers so we’ll never really enjoy it, but I got a good shot of it with no one out there at the moment. VERY friendly and attentive service! Very clean and beautiful bathrooms. Even the men’s room, according to the hubs. :) And my FAVORITE thing about this place… DOGFRIENDLY! They love my little Dontae and that makes me love them! Also, the owner came and sat down to chit chat for a funny little convo about a drink-ordering app. Nice touch. This would be a 5 star review if the daytime bartender allowed us to run a tab. He turned down my inquiry to do so saying he was leaving. 3 rounds later, my husband had pulled cash out 3 times in a row. No big, but really… why? Or rather, why not? Oh, and no kitchen, but you can order from the Mexican restaurant next door and have it delivered. Not bad.

Not bad for a bar. Pretty chill and yes very blue. Drinks are cheap but remember it is cash only. They have a juke box so as long as that’s going it keeps the room alive!
