The Best Little Cat House

I don’t know what all the Bad reviews are about. I have never had my cats professionally groomed before and one is skittish and hides from EVERYTHING. She is my baby and I was worried how she would take getting groomed. This place did a wonderful job giving both my furbabies the lion cut. They only took a few hours and called me right when they were done. They had a cute little bow and tie on when I came and picked them up and they let me know how each of my cats took the grooming process. I have already recommended this place to a few cat lady friends of mine and you can bet that I will be back when my kitties needs to be groomed again.

My experience with the two Best Little Cat Houses have been mixed. The mid-​Wilshire experience became so bad we never returned. Then we found Kirsten at this Burbank location for our grooming needs and it was like our cat went to an oasis and came home refreshed and happy.
Then…
We returned this spring to Burbank and Kirsten was no longer with the company. Staff was rude when I asked what happened, they were dismissive, and echoes of the mid-​Wilshire nightmare quickly returned. We searched and search for Kirsten… And finally we found her!
Cateau Marmont!
For all those loyal to Kirsten, put a smile on your face and give them a call over at Cateau Marmont.
I hope and wish the Best Little Cat House locations luck, but until management changes their attitude toward customers, there’s no reason to return or recommend our friends.

I have a weird black cat that is half long hair half short hair. She doesn’t need to be trimmed often but when she does I’ve been taking her to The Best Little Cat House. I would have normally given them five stars but, I wasn’t really happy with their customer service last time around. I dropped my cat off for an 8 AM appointment. Usually when I come in they say hello to my cat and ask how I want her trimmed, etc. This time the girl at the front was very dismissive and hardly looked up from the computer. When I mentioned that I really wanted to make sure that the pads of her feet were clipped she quipped that they «know how to do a kitten clip.» I felt iffy at best about leaving my cat there and did not feel any better when I ran home and checked the latest Unilocal reviews.
An hour alter I received a call that she was finished however when I came to pick her up the same girl was at the counter and seemed clueless that I had just dropped my cat off an hour before and couldn’t remember her name. I paid and left. A few hours later I received a call that my cat was finished and to come pick her up… I had to remind them that I already picked her up.
Overall the cut was fine but I’m on the fence about returning. After seeing some of the other negative reviews I almost feel like I dodged a bullet and am grateful she wasn’t treated poorly.

Mr. Cleo is a stray cat who we took in a few months ago and he needed a good haircut. I’ll admit I was hesitant in bringing Mr. Cleo to get groomed here after reading the reviews below but the end results were very well worth it. Eric was Mr. Cleo’s groomer and he was sweet and great in handling him. The first experience he let us know that he couldn’t finish the kitten clip on Cleo due to having knots on his back hind legs and he tried his best to get the knots out but it was difficult and did not want to hurt Cleo. I was fine with that as I rather have Mr. Cleo’s grooming experience be a good one and Eric let us know Mr. Cleo will have to be shaved to have the knots removed. I scheduled another appointment to have Mr. Cleo shaved and I’m very happy with the results, they did a great job with his short hair lion cut and couldn’t be happier. We brought him home and he was himself, jumping on the bed and playing with his toys, he wasn’t scared or hiding. I will be bringing Mr. Cleo in when it’s time for his maintenance cut.

I have a Maine coon I rescued named Ruby. I took her to the The Best Little Cat House for grooming. Ruby is afraid of everything: lights, the wind, even socks on the floor, but the groomer at The Best Little Cat House was great with Ruby. They were so good with her and really did a fantastic job with her lion cut. I’ll definitely be continuing to take her back. I feel confident in their ability to groom her and in their desire to really make sure she’s taken care of. The only down-​side is that they were over-​booked, under-​staffed, so it took a little longer than I was told, but good job none-​the-​less!

I took my fur baby here for pet boarding twice and have been satisfied with their services. There are two rooms for group boarding which allows your pet to socialize and stay with other cats. Private boarding is available for a higher price, but it is only recommended for cats with medical issues or special needs. The current price is $ 38/​day and $ 1/​meal if you wish to provide your own. Water and food is already provided. There is additional charge for meds. The cool thing is that there are cameras you can access online ²⁴⁄₇ to look for your cat. Too bad mind hid for most of the time. They said you can call and have them show your kitty to the camera if you want to see them.
The staff were always polite and made me feel my pet was going to be taken care of well. They also offer grooming services which I haven’t tried.

VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have been bringing my two long haired cats here for years but we are completely DONE with this place! Last time we brought our Persian cat home, she was freaked out, which we thought it happens from time to time and went back for another KITTEN CLIP yesterday (for those of you who are not aware, kitten clip takes the fur down to about the length of a regular short haired cat). After bringing her home, my cat was so scared that she was under the table and bed all day long. We were unable to take a good look at her at the groomers because she was scared to come out of her carrier, but we noticed her uneven cut and didn’t realize how bad it was until today, after she decided it was safe to come out! Erick, the groomer, apparently forgot to clip our cat’s two back legs??? The tip of her tail and around her neck is untouched (like a lion cut!!!), the hair under her paws are not cut, her abdominal area is so uneven that we just had to call and make another appointment somewhere else to give her a proper cut. We are shocked and confused at the same time! Was someone being trained to become a groomer using our cat?
I spoke to Erick (the groomer), and he said he did his best and doesn’t know what happened, and that our cat was nervous. Why didn’t you notify us? Why didn’t you say something when we picked up our cat? How UNPROFESSIONAL.
He referred me to speak to the manager (Tracy) who called me today. She just asked for pictures to speak to her groomers about this matter. Offering a refund would have been a nice gesture after coming here fro 5 years; even though, we will not even consider going back.

update 3÷3÷16:
after giving them a second chance this year, this week I had another bad (worst) experience, most importantly my cat has been hiding and very scared, I don’t know what they did to her, she wasn’t that scared when we neutered her!
I wrote a note to the business using Unilocal,not response yet.
I would not recommend this place at all, quality is dropped significantly with incompetent groomers, and cat is super scared and sad now. not worth the money, not luxury service at all.
Apparently, the great groomer who my cat loved, and was great to my kitty and most importantly did a great job grooming her is no longer working for BLC.
I’m not sure what to do, I wish they had someone with same quality and experience as her
, but they don’t as my last experience has been very nominal with the new groomer. In addition, why don’t they have one or two ppl that work there constantly as apposed to random groomers everyday. If your going to charge an arm n a leg, at least hire good quality persons.
My cat was very sad and upset after her last visit to BLC, and we have been going there for over 4 years and have recommended at least 5 ppl. Not good, not good service.

They should specify it’s by appointment only and hire more staff to handle the operation. There’s only 1 groomer available and running the front office. No one to pick up the phone and answer questions because the groomer is too busy with 10 or more cats.

After a long-​haired stray kitty adopted us, we discovered how much of a mess they can make — shedding everywhere, coughing up hairballs, & fleas!
This place helped fix it all. We now take our precious in every couple months for a «kitten clip» which makes her look like a «normal» short-​haired cat. This service comes with a nail trimming and a bath, with optional flea shampoo. For something like $ 65. Well worth it.
I’m pretty sure my cat would choose to avoid these services if she could, but when she gets home, she seems happier and struts her stuff to show off how good she looks. Now she doesn’t get her neck soaking wet when drinking and doesn’t have to spend all day desperately trying to clean herself.
I love the staff and value the advice and insights they’ve shared on how to better care of our new love.

I left my cat in their care and they were fantastic! They provide well for their cats/​clients and allow you to spy on your pet through their live webcams, and will call to update you on your pet’s well being. My cat was upset for the first few days, and they made sure she was eating and drinking by weighing her prior and after to assure she was okay. And then updated me on that and did most everything to accommodate her to make her feel comfortable. I appreciate them so much, and they are very understanding that your pet (s) are like your children. They have a fair rate regarding boarding prices, and allow the cats to roam freely in a secure «lobby» or individual rooms to suit your pet’s needs. I will definitely check in my cat with them in the future!

Really the best cat groomers in town! They even handled my deeply traumatized rescue cat with such gentleness and professionality, that I was amazed. I will definitely bring all my cats here for their grooming needs in the future. Thank you so much the Best Little Cat House!

The Best Little Cat House in Burbank is the BEST!
It’s literally a little heaven for the kitties that have to be boarded! They have plenty of room, trees, toys, friends (other cats), space, food, litter that they can keep up with;)
Every room has its unique wonderful style. The women working there are so nice and forthcoming. Whenever you are short in time and have to go out of town on a busy schedule; that beautiful kittie– paradise place takes you right away and treats your little ones like kings and queens!
Amazingly earned 5-​STARs!

Needed to board my kitty last minute but I did not want to have him stuffed in a cage, scared and alone. Best Little Cat House was a life saver.
He stayed with them for 12 days. though they do cost more than alternatives like Petsmart, the service received was worth every penny.
I love that you are able to view your pet on webcam. They gave my 10 year old, chubby kitty lots of love which made it easier on him to be somewhere strange.

I was very pleased with the service here. When I called to make the appointment, the lady was very friendly and was happy to answer all my questions. My cat, Jessie, received the shedding treatment as well as a flea treatment. I dropped her off and when I returned 30 minutes later to pick her up, she looked so shiny and smelled great. They even put a cute little bow on her. They showed me all the hair that was removed and it was a ton! The price was great and I will definitely be returning for future services!

Just took mah little Jakey Wakey to this spot to get groomed and get some clumps out of his furrr! It was such a lovely place fo da kitties! There is a room on the right with a bunch of fluffy kitties inside and a room to the left with a bunch of fluffy kitties inside… what could be better than that? SO I took my furrball of a cat here last week and it went swimmingly. He had some matts in his furr and he was shedding like crazy. I was strolling past this place and went inside and talked to one of the groomers that day. She was very helpful and kind and sweet and gave me a lot of information about the place! So I made an appointment for a couple weeks later since they seemed to be pretty booked now. You drop off your kitty and pick them up when they call you and finish. I dropped my cat off at around 10:30am and picked him up at about 6:30pm. She said he it took longer than expected because she got busy, but I didn’t mind coming in later to pick him up. They are very friendly and understand the little felines so I felt he was in good hands. I got him and he smelled so delectable and his furr was so soft! His mattes were all gone and he looked so faaaabuloous. They call you a couple days later to follow up. My cat ended up costing about 50 $ with bath, nails, deep brush and mattes. Happy with the results and will hopefully be back in some months when my cat turns back to a raggedy mess, but probably sooner because they were telling me about a discount and I’m all bout that discount. Best Little Cat House is great! I definitely reccomend taking your cat here to board or to groom because you know they love dem cats! Yaas BLCH yas.

We found the Best Little Cat House when we were looking for a groomer who could apply Soft Paws for our two cats. Surprisingly we had a really hard time finding someone until we found BLCH on Unilocal.Not only did they offer the service but at a really reasonable price! We were able to take care of both cats for $ 50.00– the same amount we had been quoted for one cat at another groomer.
Last week our long haired cat went in for a Lion cut and she looks amazing! And we aren’t the only ones happy with her new look, so is she! I will add that the grooming appointments are pretty booked up and Italy take up to 4 weeks to get an appointment, but if you know that ahead of time you can plan for it.
But the best part of our experience? The people at BLCH are so kind, obviously cat lovers, and conscientious. After both our appointments we received a follow up call to check up on us and our cats to make sure the cats were doing well.
No better place to get your cat groomed– period.

Scottie the flame point siamese absolutely loves The Best Little Cat House. The staff are so considerate and kind, and it’s obvious that they care about all the cats that are brought in.
The level of customer service I receive from this staff is amazing. They’re honest, professional, and they do quality work. Here’s an example:
I brought Scottie in for a cleaning and trim, but they said being a short-​haired cat, she didn’t need the trim. This saved me some money and reaffirmed the fact that they know what they’re talking about.
Also, each room is themed and wonderfully decorated. Scottie visited the Tuscany private suite during her stay at The Best Little Cat House!
Every aspect of this business (quality, price, honesty, etc) is spot on. I wouldn’t consider taking Scottie anywhere else!

I took my furry daughter Candy to a spa day here. The staff are really friendly and treated Candy like a guest. I asked for a shedding treatment but the lady that helped me made sure that I don’t pay for something candy didn’t need. She gave me a tour of the place and the different boarding rooms that they have. Place was clean and the private rooms were adorable with themes, if one day I need the service Im taking her there!
Candy came back home all clean with her mani & pedi done. I recommend this place.

I couldn’t be happier with this place. Leaving my cat while going back and forth to New York was the scariest thing for me and they put me completely at ease. I am not a person who will just drop my baby off somewhere random either. I did tons of research!
My cat came home so affectionate and so happy. It is a little pricey without a doubt but to be 3000 miles away and feel at ease was worth every penny.
I have a couple more trips planned and jax will be staying there every time.
