This place is definitely has more authentic food than most other Mexican food places within a few miles, but there is one thing holding it back, the prices. 2 taco dinners will run you almost 30 dollars and I’m sorry the quality and portion just doesn’t match the price. The food, service and drinks are all quite alright and your palate won’t be disappointed, but be prepared to spend a little more.

Good food, awful service. Got our food pretty quickly, asked for napkins as holder was empty, hubby ordered a CAN of Modelo, specified CAN more than once, chic brings him a bottle of almost cold Modelo. Asked again for napkins and girl seemed put out and annoyed, but did fill the napkin holder. Food was very good, but waitress never came back to see if we needed anything else. Waited in vain for check, finally got up to pay and see that there were FOUR girls just chatting behind register. Food is good enough to come back for, but will order for pick up instead of eating in.

Great tacos. Great burritos. Customer service skills are borderline non existent. Dry, monotone, not really wanting to be there attitude. Good was fast and good, enjoyed it all three times I’ve been there. One particular time though(which was the third and last), I ordered elotes and it tasted very sour like the mayo was bad. I let the manager know that I did not like it after the two bites I ate. He took it away and that was that. No apology or anything. Got up to the counter to pay, and was charged for the elotes. I asked why and I was told«because I ordered it». I did not have the energy to go back and forth. Good tacos, but not worth the mental agony of dining in. Take it to go.

Very poor service. $ 2.60 for a taco with a tablespoon of meat. Complimentary salsa’s were definitely watered down, and tasted terrible. Requested carrots had to ask twice and waited over 10 minutes to receive. «Hostess» did a poor job. He just pointed us in a general direction. Most tables were dirty. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

They only do a cash tip because the owner doesn’t want to call the credit card processor for a program software update that allows tips. lol WOW. No one carries cash these days, and I refuse to not leave a nice tip for someone already making below minimum wage. It just doesn’t seem fair… Hmmm…

Waited at the drive thru for ten minutes with no response. Went inside to see the drive thru camera in full view and 3 employees standing around talking. I like the tacos but you have to be able to order them to enjoy them.

The food is good, but not worth the wait. Arrived with the family before a group of men walked in. The waitresses cater to them and completely ignore us. We were eventually served after the men and only after inquiring about our food numerous times. They need to work on their hospitality and service!

Second Time Here. Had Chicken Tacos 3 To Be Exact &1 Steak. The Steak Tacos Are Better Than Their Burritos The Chicken As In My Previous Review Is Pretty Good. This Places Mulitiple In House Salsa’s Which Are Good And You Definitely Can Use Them To Compliment Your Meal. The Manager(Very Hip And Generally A Good Spirited Fellow) Served Me, I Believe The Waitress Didn’t Even Know I Was There. This Is Basic Mexican Entrees, Nothing Over The Top Or Standing Out. I Was Surprised At The Bill. I Believe $ 2.65 Plus Tax Per Small Taco. Then With The Soda It Was Bit High. I Definitely Felt Like They Needed To Get $ 20 Out Of Everyone. Chicago And Neighborhood Feasts Has Spoiled Me. I’m Critical Of Fast Mexican Food.

I wish I could give this place less than a half star because that’s what’s it’s worth. I travel around eating around at different Mexican Restaurants and I must say, this is one of the worst I’ve been too. The shrimp tacos were not seasoned at all and the steak in the tostadas was burnt and had no flavor. The beans tasted like they just came out of a can and the rice was stiff and cold. I’ll never come here again and will highly recommend against anyone coming here.

The food was good but it’s insane how long they take in the drive-thru they also need to update their speakers because they never seem to hear you.

Don’t even think about sitting outside. Apparently, the wait staff doesn’t like to service the patio and they will come up with any excuse to say it is closed. We have a dog so cannot sit inside… so after several attempts to eat there, we still haven’t been served. My review… The food is tasteless. Ha!

Not worth the cost of parking. there are 100 better places to eat in Pilsen. This place used to be wonderful but the new owners don’t care or don’t want to learn to cook! I would be happy to give them a lesson or two on how to make pollo asado with some sabor! Too bad, it used to be nice and clean too, now not so much.

I’ve been craving some Al Pastor tacos since the longest and I ordered some to go. I was very disappointed. Al Pastor tacos are normally super flavorful but these were just no where near flavor. They had a great color to them but no flavor! I took a bite out of one of my tacos and I bit into something real hard; I realized it was a little bone/fat from the meat! Disgusting. I’m rating this place two stars because the lady who attended me was very friendly and the place was very clean inside with some cool decorations. If you are craving some tacos from Comales, I recommend elsewhere.

As always I ordered the steak torta which was very delicious today. I have them toast the bread really really crispy. I also had a shredded chicken taco which was also good. I order my food the authentic way which is NO CHeese. Just onions hot sauce and cilantro. Been coming here for years. Very consistent ! Adiós!

I was there last Saturday midday. It took the waitress at least 10 minutes before she realized we were waiting to have our orders taken. The place maybe had 3 or 4 other tables filled, not even 25% of the place. The food took long and was a bit on the cold side. The chips were so greasy we couldn’t eat them at all. I also didn’t know you were supposed to pay at the register and tell them your table number. The lady at the register looked at me like I was beyond stupid. I will never go back.

Never order their lime margaritas. They tasted like powered lime juice with some tequila. Their mango Piña colada was no different. This place should stick to just selling beer. The tacos were not great. 26th st and the Comales in Cicero are way better. This has to be the worse Comales I have ever been to and will never return! The Salsas weren’t that good either. Completely disatisfied!!!

I used to love this comales but I went there today and the food completely lost its taste. I had the bistec burruito and it tasted like nothing but sour cream. I’m a big fan of spicy salsa and every taco place has to have at least one spicy salsa. All four salsas tasted the same and none were spicy. I also had the agua de Jamaica which was bland, too sweet, and tasted exactly like the powdered water. The agua de horchata was fine. We ordered 7 tacos and two drinks(non alcoholic) and paid 35 plus tips. I don’t remember comales being that expensive either. I would say go to the comales on 26th street if u really want comales.

I live in the area and have been going to this place for several years. My last few visits have been extremely disappointing. For a taco joint, prices are ridiculous. The food was very under seasoned, and the meat was chewy and just plain gross. The staff could be friendlier. The lady at the register didn’t take her eyes off her phone when I asked her a question! I’m taking my taco business elsewhere!
