We got our kitchen knives sharpened here today. $ 4 a knife and they are ridiculously sharp now. Such an amazing deal! The store was crazy busy so we dropped off the knives and got a call about 30 minutes later that they were already done. We didn’t check out the retail items much because there were so many people in there but will definitely be back. Service was friendly and fantastic.

Really rude. Called to ask a question and they kept picking up and hanging up. If they are busy at least pick up and let me know instead of being childish

My shave wasn’t getting as close as I wanted so took my straight razor here a few weeks ago to get sharpened. I took it home and cut myself really bad. I almost took a nice chunk out of my cheek. I can’t believe they actually made the blade more dull than when I brought it in. It’s a really cool looking shop but I wouldn’t recommend getting anything sharpened there.

Came here to get my knives sharpened which they did an excellent job at. Prices were cheap and they were ready in about 10 minutes. I actually wished they took a bit longer so I could spend more time looking around the shop. They have some really neat swords and armor sets you can check out as you wait.

Found this place online while on a mission for my husband in search of costume accessories. Had a very interesting conversation the other day with a very talented gentleman «Tony» over the phone, he was very patient with me and my explanation in what I was in search of… Assassin’s Creed 1 weaponry for Altair. To my surprise he is very familiar with these items and was a pleasure to speak to. He was the one responsible for the Assassin’s Creed 2 and 4 weaponry. I thought it would be a great idea to bring my husband here one day! Surprised my husband and came out to the shop today to have a look around. He was intrigued by the items. Movie items from Blade, Pirates of the Caribbean, 300, & many more were on display. We also had an informative & educational conversation with Tony on his work and suggestions on how to complete my husband costume.
It’s not everyday nor is it that simple to find a place like this. Enjoyed our visit, we will definitely be back, and would recommend this place to everyone!

Dang! Sheeeeoooooot! Them’s some sharp knives I’ve got after I left this place. I brought my 11 year old Henckles to get their annual (yeah I’m a slacker) sharpening. Walking into this place is a little like entering the backstage of Excalibur, with a little bit of raunch and some DnD fun. I was only there for the sharpening and it was shocking how fast it was done. It often took 20 – 30 mins at the farmers market vendor guy. This trip took 8 minutes max! But the knives were WAY more sharp than my previous sharpening efforts. These were scary sharp! I’m loving slicing through everything I can get my hands on. It’s pretty awesome. And need I mention it’s only $ 4 a blade?!? Great deal!
This place is a must try! Do not ruin one more tomato or avocado!

Tony is amazing! If you love anything and everything about armor or swords, you must come check this shop out (and be sure to tune in to Man at Arms on TV). If you’re looking to sharpen your knives/​scissors, Tony is your guy!

I can’t tell you how much fun it was to explore their armor and swords. Its not cheap since these are not machine made, but I will definitely put aside some money for a few things for at least a costume.
They are only open usually on Saturday afternoons for people needing simple things like blade sharpening, so make sure and plan out a visit if you can. Website can’t show everything since inventory changes a lot, fyi.

Tony is the best! This place is amazing and he produces incredible work! You won’t find anyone better. Period.

I took in several kitchen knives for sharpening and somehow they managed to make them duller. After being frustrated that my Global Chefs Knife couldn’t even cut through an onion I took the same knives down to Ross Cutlery in downtown LA. It’s like night and day. They are incredibly sharp now. I told the guy at Ross when I dropped the knives off that I had just had them sharpened and he looked at the blades and said «Well they didn’t do a very good job». So if you need a real professional sharpening job done I would avoid this place.

Took two chef’s knives in and in 5 minutes I had a pair of beautifully honed blades. He even took the nick out of one of the knives. All for $ 4 a blade. And that price includes the time you spend standing around looking at the amazing armor and weapons metalwork he has on display for sale.
Note the public sharpening is Saturdays only.

Great place to get your knives sharpened. Excellent price ($ 4 per blade), they sharpen while you wait, and while you wait you get to browse their stunning collection of bitchin’ armor and weaponry. Knife sharpening is Saturdays only from 10am-​6pm.

Quite an amazing place! The owner is like the’ man to go to for anything. And there is a store front with rentals, but it goes far beyond that! If you don’t see it, he can make it! Most things he makes are for the movies and TV, so he tends to creating amazing and detailed work!
So far I got myself a pirate sword, I was even allowed to watch it being made a bit! I tell ya, arm and hammer stuff! Killer!

20 bucks for 5 very sharp knives… you can’t beat it … Plus lots to look at while you wait and the guy that runs is is super cool. Easy parking at the toys r us lot just down the street.

This is an amazing place!
The owner, Tony Swatton, is a real talent – and a sweetheart – and has made things for countless movies (Pirates of the Carribean movies, Hook, Constantine, Blade movies, Hellboy…); commercials (Round Table Pizza, Bud Light, the Capital One vikings), and custom work (Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Katy Perry… even 50 Cent’s personal «Pimp Cup»)!
If you need ANYTHING fabricated in metal or want to rent a costume that NO ONE else has (but may have appeared onscreen in a major motion picture) for an event, this is the place to go.
They also make great light-​weight prop swords that are great for stage and screen, do some leather work and chain mail, and sharpen knives.
All of their prices are reasonable – especially considering the amount of work that goes into these pieces whether it is hand-​forged damascus steel or high-​powered machine-​hammered armor.
I can’t speak highly enough of this shop!
Also, after the antics that ensued during a Capital One Viking shoot, people from the shop and their friends have banded together to create the «Dining Vikings of Norse Hollywood» where they «raid» restaurants and events from Oktoberfest to Ikea and travel around by public transportation, miniature trains, or a giant «Duck Boat» decorated with a giant horned skull and Viking Shields! This shop is awesome! First off you get to see all these cool pieces that you loved in movies. but right there in front of you!
I had a custom armor bra made for Comic Con. and it’s not only bad ass, detailed and awesome but comfy!

Sharp knives and kinky sex — that’s what was on my mind as I walked through the door of Sword and Stone this Saturday.
Entering the store, I was simply thinking about getting my 8″ chef knife sharpened for $ 4, but what’s a guy to do when he’s confronted with Xena-​style bikini chain mail and shiny, polished stainless steel braziers with spikes? One’s mind will wander.
Not to give you the wrong idea, Sword & Stone is about authentic sets of chain mail and plate mail for actors cast as medieval knights or Roman Centurions. Ornate swords line the walls. It was only MY eyes that were drawn to the outfits for the fairer sex. Sword & Stone brought to mind the Arms and Armor exhibit at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I think I found a source for my next costume party.
Most importantly though I found a place to renew my culinary blades when I’ve neglected consistent use of my kitchen steel. I brought an over-​ripe tomato for purposes of testing the knife before and after the grinder. Before the knife was sharpened it was so dull it didn’t cut through the skin of the tomato, and after the sharpening treatment it sliced right through.
I’m so happy with my sharp knife!

Individual customers can only get their knives sharpened on Saturday.
In addition to giving my two knives a good edge, this has got to be the most interesting knife sharpening place as its primary purpose is to produce armor and weapons.
When I went, there was no wait, and my knives were sharpened in a matter of minutes. $ 4 a knife is about average if not a little less, and I think it’s the only place in Burbank to get it done.
It’s a bit hard to spot from the street as it looks kind of like one big warehouse, but trust me that it’s there.
