Soothing Solutions

If one’s first floating experience is to be about getting comfortable with space and releasing anxiety, then there simply is nowhere else I’d rather do it. Not only was it a pleasant experience, but a life altering one. I’ve seen other float tanks and this set-​up is definitely more comfortable and more professional. They also have a more comprehensive menu of services, which I love. There is no shortage of information available from the staff or library to ease the anxious mind and if you don’t leave with a transcendent experience, you will most certainly leave feeling lighter and more relaxed.

This is the best spot in Los Angeles for all around wellness and healing. While Soothing Solutions is most well-​known for it’s incredible float tank services, I feel that many people often overlook all of the other services available. I’ve been a return customer for five years now and I never leave without feeling like I have transcended some kind of personal boundary or limitation. I often tell Gayle, the owner, that I don’t know if I come for the silence or for the conversation. Thank you Soothing Solutions for continuing to help to open me up beyond what I thought was my limited potential.

I went here for my first couple of floats a few years ago. I did a bit of research on the experience but was glad to discover how much knowledge the owner had and shared with me. It’s really cool that she offers the second hour of floating for free. It’s definitely an experience which one would have considerable trouble adjusting to, unless you’ve spent some time in yoga/​meditation. If I recall correctly, she even has books in the front that she’s willing to lend to people (…dooon’t quote me on that).

When you walk in, you’re greeted by Gail and her adorable 1 eyed poodle, a dog so sweet, he’s been nominated for pooch of the year 3 years in a row. Gail’s office is quaint and cozy, and her float tank is sensational. It’s remarkable how an hour with no stimulation can disappear. She has a buy 1 get 2^nd hour free for floating first time which is great as floating takes a while to fully appreciate. Can’t wait for my 2^nd visit.

What a great experience! Not only with the lovely Gail (owner) but with the floating session itself (my fist one ever). I recently learned about «floating» and I became very interested. The least it happened was the feeling of having a «body» was gone, in a good way I could not feel it (I could if I wanted it, but didn’t want to) so it was just me and a whole lot of nothing… Great nothing!, all was gone! If you are into meditation and what it can do for you, try it… I can’t wait for my future ones and what it will do for me. If you are not into it, the worst that can happen is, what a whole bunch of epson salt and water will do for your body… Bye bye body aches!

Love this place. Gail the owner is very friendly and knowledgable. Went for a float session, my first time. It is a very cool experience, I can see why it takes a few times to get used to it, it is like an out of body experience. The place is extremely clean. I have to say that night I got the best nights sleep I’ve ever had.

This is an incredible place. My first float experience was incredible and I couldn’t think of a better place to come to experience true bliss.
