I had a very bad experience watching the manager talk down to his employees. Store is beautiful and large. THEN… when i said i’ll NEVER shop here again, i went in with my sister. The woman who helped us was sweet, fast, funny and we just loved her!!! the ONLY reason i will shop here is because of the cashier ‘Chris’ she was amazing… and got my business back to this store. Chris should manage this store. This review is for the brand new store on Verdugo in Burbank. LOVE Chris…

WOW! Finally a Smart and Final Express store had its grand opening in Burbank California. . Located on the corner of Hollywood Way and Verdugo Blvd. I am so happy with this new store, the prices are amazing! If you can, stop over and see what they have to offer! I guarantee you will not be disappointed! ! $ 50.00 will go a long way, $ 100.00 will fill up your cupboards! Large family, no problem feeding the kids! And you will leave the store with money in your pocket. Extremely friendly cast and crew to help you with your shopping…

Clean and organized. The only complaint i have is they keep the heavy cases of drinks on higher shelves and someone like me who is 5’2 its a bit hard to take it down and/or may not be able to reach. The service is okay.

Good place to buy certain small items in bulk. Oxymoron, I know; small, bulk… Anyways, lots of restaurant style products. Almost always empty, unlike Costco or Sam’s club.

I’ve always liked coming to this location if I wanted bulk shopping but was too lazy to go to Costco. And the renovation they did on this years back really livened up the store. I always come here when I need to do supply shopping for my studio and they always have everything I want and/or need.

LOVETHISLOCATION! My family and I started shopping here about 5 years ago. This was around the time they changed their layout/format to be more like a grocery store. We like that the employees ask us if we’ve found everything on our list. Usually, we shop there after 6p weekdays(or Saturday afternoons). * Good selection of frozen foods. * Clean. * Friendly. * Plenty of parking. * Have never had a bad experience here. * Well stocked on any beverage I’m looking to buy.

Poor customer service. Poor maintenance of the place. Never have what they advertise. There are other better Smart & Final’s; never going back to this one again.

Why is it that every time I shop here and buy something, that isn’t labeled, I get over– charged? They have some kitchenware that I sometimes need, that isn’t labeled. The service clerks who get a code for the item always comes back with the code for the similar and more expensive item. It’s a question of trust, can the service clerks be trusted? No. It’s my own fault, live and learn, I’ll always write down item numbers in the future. I recommend you do also. Fortunately I rarely shop here, but there’s always something that they might have and I invariably end up walking around and finding a whole lot of nothing to buy. It’s a convenient place between work and home and I don’t recommend this place unless you absolutely need something.

Despite my loyalty to Costco, I sometimes prefer to shop at Smart & Final simply for the convenience factor of this location. The warehouse and parking lot are relatively small compared to competing stores, but I very rarely see large crowds when I come to shop here. I like to think of this place as a hybrid between grocery store and warehouse, but with all the hassle removed. My only complaint is that the front end of the store seems to be neglected by staff – consider it a rare sighting if you see more than cashier on duty here.

Although this is a smaller location, they usually have what I need. Everyone there is helpful and friendly, as well. Definitely a very«neighborhood» feeling.

had to make a return last week and I must say, not only was the manager very helpful but the staff were awesome as well. Even though I incurred a $ 300 carpet cleaning bill(cream/milk I bought had a hole and stuff leaked all over the fridge and on the carpet!!) when I called that morning to inquire about their return policy on the defective, unopened item, the manager apologized for the inconvenience and was very respectful. when I went in the store, the cashier/staff assisted me with a smile. from previous experience at this same store #471 Burbank), the staff are always polite, friendly and their customer service is stellar. I think the staff deserves a raise =) a special Thank You to Smart&Final Store 471 in Burbank for beign awesome. Keep up the great work and do know that your super customer service is noted and appreciated. give yourselves a pat on the back: D

They probably think I’m an alcoholic here, they may be right, however, we love to host a BBQ and any good BBQ needs plenty of alcohol. I’ll grab a pork shoulder or a full chicken, fresh produce, a couple bottles wine and some good beer, Game on! Very good selection of wine and beer, friendly staff, what more could I ask for…

This place is actually a lot bigger than I originally thought. Had been there before a few times just to grab an item or two, but today I actually took the time to look around. Depending on what kind of items you need, this might actually be a nice alternative to busier/bigger grocery stores like Ralph’s. There are two parking lots. A smaller lot located in front of the store and a secondary(larger lot) located right next to it. Haven’t had any problems finding parking right in the front, though. Customer service is all right. I haven’t had any problems, but sometimes there aren’t enough registers open during busy hours.

NEWLYREMODELED! I honestly have to say… the verities here are endless, in such items. They are lower priced for the huge quantity they provide. BRANDNEW structure and floor plan. CLEAN from the OUT to the IN. My favorite thing about this store has to be the entrance and organization amongst the store displays and categories. Great place to shop from if you own a store or restaurant. NOTE: To save more money, open there Rewards card. Its free and you save extra when you use it. A+ 5 Stars

It’s around 2:30pm on a Thursday afternoon and I am rushing around town to pick up supplies for the Unilocal party that night. Since we were serving wines and cheeses, I needed cups and plates and napkins and thought, hey, Smart & Final will have it! So I «luck» into this location on Burbank and pop in, grab what I need and get in the only line open. There is an elderly couple ahead of me and they are super sweet and smiling at me and they finish up and then it’s my turn. As I’m standing there, the checker gets a phone call on the business line and takes it. From there the following conversation transpired… Cashier: «Hey…yeah, I know… yeah…he did… girl, last night! Yeah, no, I was like no way you know and he’s all like damn n shiiiit… yeah and then Marcus comes over and they are all… yeah, I know, it’s sooo stooopid» ME:(Watching her swipe my items too many times) «Umm, I think you double charged me for the plates» Cashier:(Dirty Look at me, but still talking to her friend on the phone) «Yeah, whatever, I know, but you know I like him so I dunno…» ME: «Umm, are you gonna re-ring that up?» Cashier: «I know, girl, that’s what I’m tryin to tell you, he’s all up in my game and then you know he’s gonna get all crazy n shit…» ME:(Annoyed and looking at her) Cashier:(Slight neck roll, plus a raised eyebrow and an eye roll) «What, you gotta swipe your card, tsssss» ME: «You rang it up wrong» Cashier: «Girl, I gotta go, I know right, so stoooopid…» She then proceeds to roll her eyes again and deletes the over-charge and tosses my receipt in the basket and then goes on to help the next person. No «thanks,» no «Oh sorry about that,» no «Have a nice day.» Nothing! I swear people are awesome, seriously. Customer service at its finest!
