Hi Dr. Amin,
I emailed you four times, I think this is the only place you can read my email.
At the beginning of last year, I went to another country to have a consultation with a implant specialist and made a appointment for my treatment in the middle of January this year (I waited almost one year for this treatment). At the beginning of last October, one of your patient referral Dr. Amin to me so I could have second opinion before starting my treatment. I agreed to pay $ 299 for Dr. Amin’s consultation since I believed it would help me to make decision before the treatment. I am writing this now because I am so disappointed about how you treated me. Not only you didn’t keep your promise to give me consultation before the end of December, but also I lost my time and chance to have second opinion!
I was told to pay only $ 299 because Dr. Amin need 3-​D scan for my consultation when I made my first appointment. You should tell me I also need to pay over two hundred dollars for full mouth x-​ray BEFORE I went to your office, not after I waited two months when I was IN your office. And you guys told me that my insurance will reimburse $ 200 for that full mouth x-​ray, actually I only got $ 72 back. You promised me to give me consultation before the end of December after I took x-​ray and 3-​D scan, but you did not. I called your office and left message asking my consultation in the beginning of January, no respond. After I came back from my treatment in the middle of January, I complained to your office, you said on your phone call message to me that you were sorry, you were busy and couldn’t see me sooner, and you said you could see me next day which was almost the end of January. It was too late, I did not need your consultation any more. I spent over $ 430 consultation fee WITHOUT any consultation, instead, 5 seconds 3-​D scan plus x-​ray, and more than 3 months waiting, just for NOTHING. This is really hard to convince me (or the other people) that Dr. Amin «Money is not his focus or the focus of our practice». Before this fourth email, I never complained to any of you that I lost my time and chance to get second opinion which was very important to me before starting my treatment in another country. Now, I probably should!

I had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Amin. I must say, this was the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. The whole staff was very professional, nice and always cracking jokes.
The procedure was like a magic trick. I had the IV sedation. This is how it went for me:
Doctor: «Do you feel anything?»
Me: «No»
Doctor: «How about now?»
Me: «No»
Nurse: «And you’re all done»
Me: «What?»
I didn’t realize it had all happened what seemed like a nanosecond, no memory of being under. Literally zero pain or swelling afterwards.

I have to start by saying that I have always been afraid of the dentist’s office. The smell, the sounds of drills, and the site of the dreaded dental chair has always left me with extreme anxiety. After visiting Dr. Amin’s office last week, for a consultation on an aching wisdom tooth, his professional opinion was for an extraction. At this point I would have been way across the boarder with no plans of returning, but Dr. Amin has a certain calming tone to his voice and expert knowledge to back it up. I am happy to say that yesterday, I had two wisdom teeth removed (I only have two for some odd reason) and I am feeling wonderful. I remember staring at the ceiling one second, and the next thing I know, we were done. Dr Amin even so kindly called to check up on me to make sure I was doing okay. One day later, and I haven’t even touched my pain medication, I am not swollen, I feel even better than I did when I walked in. Dr. Amin, Sophia, and the rest of the staff are exceptional. They are professionals who care about each and every one of their patients. I promise, you won’t regret seeing Dr. Amin.

Dr. Amin is great. His knowledge is amazing. I love his office staff. Everyone is warm and welcoming. I am beginning treatment in March for several reasons. I am having a crown replaced along with a new smile of vaneers. Once that is completed I will soon after be getting two implants. I want to look nice but I frankly I simply have bad teeth. I am a 57 yr old woman and over the years I have ground my teeth and damaged all my teeth to the point they are flat and small. I also have permanant and seriously discolored teeth. I was given tetracycline as a child and my teeth are yellowish brown. As I age they get darker. They can not be whitened because the tetracycline permanently discolored teeth. I have full faith in Dr. Amin to take good care of me. I will update this once my work has been done. If you are in need of dental treatment call Dr. Amin you won’t be sorry.

Before finding Dr. Amin I had consulted many many dentists regarding my recessing front gums that were leading me to losing my healthy front teeth. I had almost lost the hope of saving my teeth and gums as none of those dentists had any idea how and what to do to save my teeth. However, a miracle happened and I was referred to Dr. Amin: Dr. Genius! Dr. Amin saved my teeth and gums performing a pretty difficult surgery which was painless and I recovered very fast. Besides, I am also very grateful to Dr. Amin for the amazing implant work. I am so happy there is a dentist who is extremely knowledgable in every field of dentistry.

They were awesome ! Price. Not really but they can work with you! The front desk women who help me set up my paper work, were awesome and super friendly! Also, they got a nice view of Burbank! Wait time wasn’t that long. Especially since I was their first time patient. Lisa (think that her name), was super nice to me and very helpful and understanding. While I wait for my dentist come check me, She showed me a video of how wisdom really work and how they do it. Rasmey came in and was super awesome and friendly! He Helped me understand what I should do and what to expect! I highly recommend first time patient to come in and check this place out! Now I just need to schedule my appointment for my wisdom! Let me start off by saying that I have worked in the dental laboratory field for over 6 years now. I have come across hundreds of dentists both in New York City, and here in the Los Angeles area. No one comes close to Dr.Amin. Both his knowledge, and passion for what he does is second to none. I had a wisdom tooth pulled back in New York and I was in pain for at least a month after the extraction. Well, I had another wisdom tooth pulled last week by Dr. Amin and I literally have had absolutely no pain whatsoever!!! Enough about Dr. Amin who is clearly the best dentist ever.
Now lets get to his team. They are the most friendly and caring team I have ever encountered in any field, be it Dental or Medical. They are über coordinated and know exactly whats going on at all times. The organization of this entire practice is mind boggling. It’s always a pleasure to deal with them!
If you want amazing dental work with no hassle and with someone who actually loves his craft go to Dr.Amin. Also, most dentists specialize in either cosmetic, restorative, implantology, etc. Dr. Amin is a superb specialist in all of these departments. His work speaks for itself. Both my husband and I will be lifelong patients of this amazing practice. Thank you Dr. Amin!

Phobia begone!
The initial draft of this review was started in November of 2014. I decided to keep adding to it as the dental course of action was implemented over the the last year or so.
I like many other folks found myself with a tooth issue and after not going to the dentist for a long amount of time the problem exacerbated itself and manifested into an unavoidable dental issue. The reality when it comes to our collective mouths is that whether we want to pay the proverbial piper now or later, you will, at some point pay. It’s inevitable and the nature of the dental beast.
Well, one thing led to another and I made the decision to find a dentist and get what procedures I needed done. I used the googles, as well as Unilocal and started my search. After doing my due diligence, my only requirement of said dentist was that he or she practiced sedative dentistry. I called a few different places and asked all sorts of questions and much was learned. I always inquired what each practice charged for sedative dentistry — usually a per hour charge — as I knew my insurance would not cover that type of procedure.
Dr. Amin and his practice were 1 of 3 I contacted and 1 of 2 that I visited. My first experience with them was when I called to make my first appointment. I spoke to Angie who at the time was one of two ladies who worked the reception area/​front desk as well as handled all the billing and scheduling. I think in today’s time where many practices are more concerned about getting as many patients in as possible at the risk of alienating them through poor customer service habits, it’s important to make the initial contact as smooth and reassuring as possible. Thankfully, Angie was a breath of fresh air. She answered all my questions in a professional and unassuming manner. Honestly, that interaction was the first step in being more at ease with the whole forthcoming dental procedure.
The initial visit was nothing short of impressive both in regards to the high tech and supremely clean facility as well as Dr. Amin’s approach towards the first comprehensive examination. Dr. Amin is incredibly approachable, patient and, most importantly, articulate. His bedside manner was and is incredibly professional and, building on the interaction I had with Angie, another vote for confidence. Needless to say, I felt more and more at ease with his practice and ultimately decided to go with him and his crew for my dental needs.
After the initial examination is done and x-​rays are taken that’s it. Yes, a brief conversation is had regarding what he sees but that’s all. At this point another appointment is scheduled where Dr. Amin subsequently meets with you, advises you on a course of action and, lastly, Angie comes in to discuss the cost for the procedure (s) and any sort of financing options you might need. What I found rather brilliant in this approach is that Dr. Amin does NOT discuss any of the financials with you, that’s Angie’s job. He separates himself from that aspect of the consultation. It’s actually a rather refreshing approach and I understand why he does it. Dr. Amin wants to be your dentist, nothing more, nothing less and if he also needs to be the bearer of the financial news, I think that’s hard to accomplish and can complicate things. Angie gave me the low down on what everything was going to cost. Unfortunately, a broken but painless tooth allowed me to defer dental work for far too long and what could have been fixed by a crown was deemed too serious and needed to be pulled and replaced with an implant. This was on top of having some fillings replaced, gum work as well as having a bonded retainer removed.
With the different procedures needed, I opted for the aforementioned sedative dentistry. Fortunately, Dr. Amin’s practice offers very competitive pricing when it comes to this type of dentistry especially when compared to the other dental practices I called in the surrounding areas. Between my first appointment and my «last» where the implant was put in, there were about 8 appointments in all. Some of them more invasive than the others. Even so, my experience every step of the way was efficient, complication free and most importantly, painless. I can honestly say that I was never in any sort of discomfort before, during or after any of my procedures. And while my experience might not be commonplace, I think it speaks volumes about the ability of both Dr. Amin and his crew… and I’ll name them here: Sara, Julia and Lisa.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Dr. Amin called me personally the day after my first surgery just to check up on me and see how I was doing. What a guy! I’d also like to mention that the dental hygienist they have on staff, Nouchee, is top notch and has a soft touch, which is rather important when there are sharp tools in your mouth.
Professionalism, trust and ability will have me coming to Dr. Amin’s practice for years to come.

My first recent visit (xrays/​new patient welcome) and subsequent visit (teeth cleaning) were surprisingly fast and painless.
The office is spectacularly finished in classy modern/​contemporary décor; the furniture, the entry tile — great first impression 2 steps in the front door.
The individual patient rooms are kept in pristine/​clean condition; totally state of the art equipment and procedures.
The experience is AS GOOD AS IT GETS and we are talking a dental office people. The views are fabulous.

I am an Actor and Martial Artist… I was referred by another actress friend of mine. I depend on my smile to make a living. Cracked my front tooth and had it fix at another dentist. The work was not bad but I needed something a little extra especially in my profession. Dr. Amin and his staff are awesome! He gave me his expert advice and after a 3D tour of my mouth they perfectly replaced my tooth. Honestly I am so pleased he has gained a lifetime customer. I plan on returning for all of my dentistry needs and referring all my friends and colleagues. There is a reason why he has 5 stars on here that is no fluke. Trust me!

I contacted Dr. Amin through his site. He has a blog where he dedicates his time and knowledge to answering questions posted by prospective patients and the general public.
Due to financial limitations, I will be flying down to Mexico in order to get dental implants. I had received many conflicting opinions from dentists in my local area, and I needed a second opinion from a knowledgeable and trustworthy specialist. Enter Dr. Amin.
I could tell from patient reviews and his credentials that Dr. Amin was the person to speak to. After getting a CT scan taken, I sent it out to Dr. Amin’s office where his patient care coordinator, Sophia, took care of the rest. She set up a virtual consult between the doctor and I after she took down all of my personal and medical information. Because I am a transgender male (I thought this information relevant because my first puberty determined the size, shape, and density of my jaw) I was quite nervous talking to Sophia. It’s always a bit stressful when revealing my transgender status to medical professionals because I never know how they will react. Sophia didn’t miss a beat. I got the vibe that it was «no big deal.» I can’t begin to tell you how comforting that was.
During our consult, Dr. Amin explained his recommendations to me in great detail. He seemed knowledgeable, meticulous, and caring. We did the consult through a virtual interface that allowed me to see my CT Scan and the Dr.‘s mapping of my potential implant procedure. He also gave me great advice that has helped me narrow down the dentists who I may see in Mexico.
I tend to be a shrewd and skeptical person with the type of intuition that most people envy. Dr. Amin checks out. And I’m very grateful I found him.

This man and his entire office are top notch. I had to go there for emergency wisdom teeth removal and it was a very scary and painful and challenging time. They could not have been more patient, kind, and wonderful. I was so grateful to get the recommendation from my veterinarian actually (ha!) Because I was picking up my own dog who had surgery when I was in pain myself and she told me about Dr. Amin and how amazing he was. They took me in as quickly as they could and I felt so lucky to have found them in my time of need.
I want to mention they do more than dental implants and surgery– they do it all. This was very interesting to me since I have been to my own dentist for almost 15 years and unfortunately I HATE the commute to my regular dentist ever since we moved from Playa Del Rey to the San Fernando Valley… but I keep doing it because though I have tried to go to other dentists over the years, I have never been able to make the switch since I haven’t found anyone I liked (loved!) as much as my own. However, after experiencing the care at Dr. Amin’s office, I finally felt like there was another (closer!) option for me in Los Angeles… which is amazing for two reasons. One, the obvious– going to him doesn’t involve an hour commute in traffic. But two– I almost exclusively prefer female doctors. It is what it is. This is the FIRST male doctor (dentist) that I have liked enough to see AGAIN. Now, it will still be very hard for me to fully change over, so for now I am contemplating seeing both Dr. Amin and my regular long time dentist Dr. Guinan in Playa. But either way, I had to post something about them because it really did amaze me how great they are…
Lastly, everyone in that office has been working for Dr. Amin for YEARS, which really says something about him because no one ever seems to leave! Ha! He must be an amazing boss. He is definitely a very kind, gentle, and caring soul. He puts everyone at ease around him and has such calming positive trustworthy energy. Plus, the office is just gorgeous, and so clean! You just feel like you are in the very best of hands.

I recently had my wisdom teeth pulled by Dr Amin and it was the most amazingly painless, simple procedure I could have ever anticipated. Dr Amin himself inserted the IV into my arm and next thing I knew my friend Danielle was there to drive me home. My recovery was swift and painless– I was barely swollen for a day! Dr Amin even called me on my cell to see how I was feeling that evening!
I’ve never experienced such thorough and thoughtful healthcare from any other dentist!

First Review, so I’m gonna make it a good one. I promised Dr. Amin a Unilocal review and he’s going to get a shining 5 star review… Dr. Ramsey Amin and the entire staff are hands down the best group of people in a dental office that I have ever encountered. All the 5 star review’s should be indicative of his work as well as the way he and the staff treat patients.
I lost my upper front tooth during a skateboarding accident when I was a child. My mom managed to save the tooth and my dentist was able to patch me up and get my tooth anchored back into my mouth. Fast forward twenty-​something years and now my front tooth has dislodged again. I came to Dr. Amin after searching and «interviewing» several Dental Implant specialists. While many of the other specialists were very helpful and informative, none of them provided the same attention, care and courtesy to me compared to Dr. Amin and his Staff. Upon the initial visit, I was given a thorough examination which included a full 360 head scan. At a later appointment, Dr. Amin sat down with me to do a full review of my situation. Dr. Amin took the time to evaluate the full head scan and x-​ray thoroughly and determined that I had pretty severe bone loss that almost spread into my nasal cavity. He reviewed all of the X-​Rays, explained the steps that would need to be taken, the approach he would take to full restore my smile. He determined that a bone graft was needed to properly anchor the implant. I agreed to his evaluation and proceeded to schedule appointments to get my smile repaired. This would take several sessions over the course of more than a year; as a matter of fact, i’m still pending my last appointment to put the final crown/​implant in.
The first major surgery that needed to be performed was a bone graft into the area where bone loss was detected. Since this was a major surgery, I needed to be put under for the process. I remember going in… sitting on the chair and waiting up to find out it was all over. Painless, quick (well, everything feels quick when you’re unconscious) and I was ready to be driven home for recovery.
I don’t want to get into too much detail about the procedures that have been performed on me my Dr. Ramsey Amin. This is an overall review and I don’t believe that each and every step of my procedure is relevant to this review.
All in all, Dr. Amin and his staff have provided me the best dental experience ever. He has gained a loyal patient. I have no hesitation in recommending him for your dental needs. If you need any further convincing, just look up his practice and the information about him and all the credentials. That should put most of anyone’s worries at ease. My only regret is that I didn’t see Dr. Amin sooner.

I have so many kind words for Dr. Ramsey Amin, and his staff where do I begin?
I was referred by a dear friend of mine who had wisdom tooth surgery several years ago with him. I had been holding off on this procedure for a long time due to my fears of oral surgery. Due to the fact that my friend spoke so highly of her experience with him, I knew it was time for me to schedule an appointment.
When I first walked into his beautiful office I was greeted by his wonderful staff. Everyone introduced themselves with class and professionalism. Which working for a doctor myself, means a lot to me and the patient.
I meet with Sara, one of Dr Amin’s dental assistants, who took me back for some quick x-​rays. I just want to say how lovely she is! She made this whole process so much easier, as she really provides a lot of warmth and comfort to the office.
Not long after I met with Dr. Amin. After meeting with him I can see why he comes so highly recommended. He clearly has a true passion in the art of dentistry as it also runs in his family! He is genuine and wholehearted, and will tend to all your questions and needs. I quickly scheduled the surgery before I left.
Its day two since my surgery. I was so nervous before going in as I never had twilight anesthesia before. I was literally in tears before we started! Of course Dr. Amin worked his magic and gave me a good laugh and the nerves went away. Next thing I knew I was awake and the procedure was over! It felt like only minutes had passed. I was in no pain at all, and honestly I felt great after waking up! I had no nausea or dizziness, and the best part of all, I didn’t remember anything from the surgery! =)
I just want to thank Dr. Amin and the whole staff so very much. You guys are absolutely wonderful and I feel honored to have you as my dentist!
One more quick note. Dr. Amin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/​Implant Dentistry. Which since 1969, only 359 dentists in the US have passed the test.- Pretty fascinating!

I came in for a consultation, Dr. Amin & his staff were very helpful. He’s very thorough and easy to talk to. When it came to an estimation, they broke it down and explained what was needed and why. The cost, in my mind was acceptable based off his knowledge and the cost of doing business.
His staff are down to earth and caring. The practice is modern and the views are great. Bedside manner is on point. I would recommend Dr. Amin to anyone in town.

I can’t even properly express how wonderful my experience with Dr. Amin’s office has been. I had three implants and the results have been nothing short of life-​changing. The procedure passed by like a dream, and I felt nothing during my surgery.
Dr. Amin is kind, comforting and clear, always explaining everything and putting you at ease. I just came back from my one-​year check-​up and I actually realized that I missed everyone on the staff.
It might cost you a little more than the bargain places, but I promise it’s worth every penny to know that you’re being taken care of in the best possible way.

Dr. Amin and his staff are so nice. My mouth is a disaster and I’m terrified of needles so I’ve avoided the dentist for years. But Dr. Amin and his office are just there to help, not be judgey. The waiting room is the most soothing I’ve ever been in (dentist or otherwise) — the décor is tasteful and pleasing and there’s full length windows facing the Burbank mountains.
The ladies at the front desk are super helpful, efficient and friendly. As are his assistants, who go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. And Dr. Amin himself is a swell guy. He’s funny and great at putting embarrassed slobs like me at ease.
I had two teeth — an upper wisdom and one super difficult molar — removed while sedated. Dr. Amin is the sleep dentistry master and after reading his credentials (check his office’s website), I knew I was in good hands. I never thought I’d say it, but the whole experience was actually enjoyable Seconds after they put the IV in I said «Wow, I can already feel it!» and BOOM! I woke up and it was over. I woke up looking out the window at the lovely mountains bathed in the golden glow of late afternoon. Maybe it was the anesthesia talking, but I left smitten with the whole office and wishing every business interaction could be so nice. That night Dr. Amin even called to check up on me. Who does that? The next morning (after following Dr. Amin’s directions of an ice pack, of course), I didn’t even need any pain killers.
I’m a fan of Dr. Amin and his team and I highly recommend them!

Thorough and friendly. Staff is great. Had been seeing my previous dentist for 10+ years. Beginning to get the feeling they were «phoning it in» and concerned about what was going on with my teeth. My neighbor found Dr. Amin and had nothing but good things to say, so I thought I’d try them out.
Comfortable, friendly, good people. Cleaning was awesome. Asked about any issues I had. They let me know my teeth were in good shape but I had a couple of issues I should address but there was no hurry. I really liked that they were low pressure and gave me the information I needed to make a decision. Loved all of that!
I like to get things taken care of so I decided to address the areas where I had receding gums as a result of brushing too hard. I talked to coworkers about how bad gum grafts were and knew I didn’t want to go that way. Dr. Amin recommended a procedure that was supposed to have results and MUCH less recovery time. Long story short, I did the procedure. Was great. Very little pain. Gums fixed. Downtime one day, largely because I didn’t want to disturb anything and I just laid around the house. I swam a mile the next morning. Felt great. No problem at all.
Oh, and I forgot to mention. He called that night to make sure I was ok. Yes, that’s right. The Dr. called. Then emailed to make sure I got the message when I didn’t pick up from a blocked number.
See them being my dentist for a long, long time.
