I rented this space for 6 months. The one great thing the parking is very open and available.
The bad: the AC only worked 10% of the time. I told the owner about this and he said it was fixed, and yes it was fixed throughout the building… but it never seemed to work in my room. I gave up trying because the responses were always slow and I was planning on moving out of the unit anyway.
The worse: There was a hole in the wall when I rented. After I moved out and requested my deposit back the owner stated that I made the hole in the wall and he would use my deposit to fix it.
My advice is that if you are going to rent from this space just take pictures of the space and everything wrong before you rent and point out everything so he can’t screw you over later. Also if anything goes wrong with your unit don’t expect it to be fixed. Other than that rehearsal spots are just empty rooms so it does the job.

I’ve been here on and off for about 4 years, depending on where I was living, or where other members of my band have been rehearsing.
EVERY single time, we come here.
It’s literally right across the street from Center Staging (where all the major bands come to rehearse before touring, or any big show, etc)
I sometimes literally wheel my gear over when I rehearse there.
I LOVE it here, and every time I need to get a space, Patrick, the owner is super super accommodating. He is always here working on the place, it’s 24 hours, super clean, friendly, in a safe, awesome area.
Best prices anywhere for what you get.
What else can you ask for?

This was the first place I found after moving to the west coast. I’ve been renting here since March 2007. The building provides 24 hour access to practice/​rehearsal space for pretty good rates. A few of the rooms have even been upgraded and acoustically treated to function as recording space. Since then, I’ve been in a few other facilities. Some of these even provide instruments. I’m a drummer. Most of the drums I’ve found provided in rehearsal spaces around here are pretty shitty. You get some beat up drums but there’ll be no clutch for the hi hat or I have to bring my hardware which pretty much means I may as well bring my whole kit. Screw that when I can just rent my own room and have access any time I want. Also the cheapest non-​lockout place I’ve found charges $ 10/​hour for one person to practice at non-​peak times. That’s $ 70/​week if I only practice for one hour a day… OH…that’s minus the 5 or 10 minutes early that I need to be setting up or preparing to be out so as not to go over my rental time. I must add, however, that SOUND ISOLATION TOTALLY SUCKS, in this building! I get bleed through coming through the air ducts from rooms all the way down the hall… total bulls***.
But for the money it’s okay. I’ll probably go elsewhere once I can really afford a really nice place. But it’s okay for the rough and ready if all you need is a place to shed and keep your stuff ²⁴⁄₇. But definitely the worst isolation I’ve ever had to tolerate in any rehearsal space. I In the last room I was in it wasn’t nearly this bad. I guess thats a function of inconsistencies in the installation of air ducts. The band in the room next to me sounds like we both have our doors open…
PARKING — Reasonable parking which is more than I can say for several other facilities in the area. For example The 3^rd Encore Annex just off Magnolia is bullshit when it comes to parking. The lot has maybe 5 or 6 spaces but I challenge anyone to actually try to get that many cars in there and OUT. With PM you can actually PARK your car and have no problem getting in and out even when the lot is full. TRY THAT AT AMP which may possibly have the WORST parking of ALL the facilities in the valley.
FREE INTERNET– They also just got FREE WIRELESS INTERNET! TERRIBLY SLOW internet, but it’s better than nothing. It’s also right off the 5 Freeway off of Hollywood Way RIGHT next to Center Staging which is one of the more popular large scale rehearsal facilities. They have lots of auditions and celebrity rehearsals at Center Staging. Perfect locale for some potential networking.
NOT THE PRETTIEST building– but you get what you need– a place to work on your craft ANY TIME YOU WANT! Not good for recording audio.

Staff also makes sure to pair your room with similar based musicians so that you can vibe and share the scheduling in a easy, breezy manner. The rooms lock, as does the main building and yet is open 24 hrs so you can jam at 3am if you want to but always know your gear is safe. Plus, the staff never butts in. You almost feel like you own the place. Again, it may look like a grungy place but the price and service is tip-​top.
