We have been serving the Burbank and Foothill areas since 1991. We carry an extensive line of windows, awnings and shutters to suit any style. Our expert installation crew has more than 20 years combined installation experience. We are also a certified Milgard dealer and installer.

I am Jon Higgins, owner /​operator. I started the business in 1992. I grew up in Burbank, went to school here and still live and own a home in Burbank with my family and three children that attend Burbank schools. We offer a full line of replacement style windows and doors. VInyl, wood, woodclad, fiberglass and aluminum windows and doors. New fabric and aluminum awnings, patio covers, retractable awnings and carports. Full line of shutters. Residential and Commercial. Offering competitive pricing, proffesional installation. With lifetime warranties. We don’t use subcontractors. My installation team has over 50 years experience. I have had the same employees for over 13 years. I personally promise you friendly, professional service & competitive prices. We are a small company with (7) employees that are all like family to me. We will treat you the same. I received several estimates from companies I found on Unilocal.Jon’s price was very competitive and the staff could not have been nicer. We had a little glitch with the schedule for the estmate and then the installation but it was eventually worked out. The awning looks great and I feel that I got a good deal also.
I can heartily recommend Jon’s if you need an awning.

Total pros. Jon & his crew replaced my old awnings and they look terrific. I thought the price was good and the work was even better. Plus, they just made the whole process so easy. Nice people who do great work at a totally reasonable price.

Jon’s Window and Awning did a great job replacing old and rotting windows at my house; three in the living room and another in one of the bedrooms. Two of the living room windows were replaced with one huge picture window. These two windows were next to the fireplace and had a protruding firewood box next to it. This firewood box needed to be removed in order to frame the picture window. The crew had to break out a lot of stucco to do this. With the huge amount of stucco taken out, I was concerned that stucco patch work will look obvious. My concerns were unfounded. After they were done, you can’t tell that any stucco patch work was done. They even matched the color. If one didn’t know, they would swear that the window has been there for years.
Jon is very responsive and listens to your needs. Their prices are fair. Their crew worked fast and arrived when they said they would; this helps with my busy schedule. The crew also covered the work areas to minimize dust/​debris and they cleaned up afterwards. I am very satisfied with the work they did and would highly, highly recommend them.

Jon and Connie are great! They are not pushy in the sales and try to get you what you want and need unlike a lot of window places. They were more than helpful and had great customer service. I did have an issue with a manufacture defect with one of the Millgard doors but my issues were quickly addressed by Jon and Connie who made sure the manufacture took care of my issue and it was resolved as quickly as possible. I will be purchasing from them again because of the great service.

We found them through Unilocal and while getting a quote it turns out Jon had actually done the original awning for our store over 25 years ago– these awnings sure are built to last! We had a very good experience with Connie and Jon. It was a no pressure, straight forward transaction, and very relaxed. They came out and grabbed the awning, we didn’t even have to be here. They then returned it when promised, recovered and brand new and put it back up there, again we didn’t have to be here. All of our phone conversations were warm and nice, I paid them over the phone and that was that. I look forward to doing business with them in the future. Thumbs up!

Extremely professional, timely, clean and the windows are amazing! I couldn’t believe they could do all eight of our windows in one day, and they finished early. Great service! Before being referred to Jon’s I had some bad experiences. One person kept trying to upsell us into more expensive options and another just stood me up!
Thank goodness for Jon. He and Connie were very nice and professional. The estimate was very fair and everything went according to schedule. The guys who did the installation were really great! They went out of their way to make sure everything looked good and to talk me through their work.

The person answering/​returning calls was very unpleasant. A lot of unprofessional «mm-hmm’s» and interruptions. Not even a tip or suggestion. Straight up rude!

Jon came out the day after I called, took the measurements, gave me an estimate within 24 hours and set a date to install the following week.
Every window in our home was replaced. The price was competitive. The new windows were installed carefully and professionally and the minimal mess was cleaned up quickly and completely. The only evidence of their visit was the new windows which are so beautiful we hated to rehang the drapes.

CONS: disorganized: sent estimator, Jon, at the wrong time, i had to send e-​mails asking about when it would be available to install then i had to call to remind them «it should be in by now and i’m waiting», confused me with another client in emails, changing installation times.

Jon’s Awning is a local gem for awnings. In general, awnings are expensive because the fabrics are fire retardant and the frame are specialized. Jon manages to keep the cost down and flexible to work with. Jon runs a small company that works mostly local — better attention this way.
