Haunted Trails Family Amusement Park

Very clean, good family fun! Love the haunted theme! Battling cages, mini golf, arcade, raceway all fun and in good shape. Only negative is they give you 3 tokens for a $ 1, not 4… kinda chincy

I love this place growing up as a kid… even though i’m technically an adult, I still come here for first dates at the batting cages or mini golfing because I still think it’s fun and i’m cheap. This place is a mad house in the summer and it’s filled with more people than a concert in the summer and the staff is mostly young people still in high school. Prices have gone up over the years but that hasn’t stopped me. This is a better alternative towards six flags…

Fun place; was here a handful of times as a kid… Just went back the end of October, as an adult and it’s definitely all children. Even the workers are teens
It was a weekday and in the evening — I still had a nice time though; My guy and I enjoyed the batting cages and playing mini golf.
Wasn’t into the rides, go karts, arcade, or pizza place. The haunted house didn’t scare me at age 8, positive it wouldn’t scare me at age 28.
Might return in summertime to cash in my free mini golf and have a few more laughs. Still a cool theme and concept for kids

This place used to be my all time favorite place to go as a kid. I ended up moving within walking distance to HT as an adult. Boy have the times changed! The place is your typical arcade and they do a decent job of getting in new games but the place is old and hasn’t been updated in 20 years or more. It literally looks the same as it did when I was 8.
As far as the restaurant part goes, it has your basic pizza and pop. Nothing fantastic but it’s not horrible either. It’s priced in the same range as most places like this.
But what makes it not worth anyone’s time is the fact that the games are constantly breaking down and wasting your tokens. And each game takes a few tokens. You spend more time hunting down a game technician than you do actually playing.
The only reasons to go here is for the go karts and baseball cages. Or if they are having an event (my kids had a few school events here.) Otherwise, you can save your money and head to Darien for Chuck-​E-​Cheeses.

Good place to bring the kids and it always is clean and good customer service but have not been there on weekends so not sure on weekends

Love this place! A group of us come every year, twice specifically in October and have a great time every time. Food is good and games are fun. The mini golf is adorable and the go carts are a lot of fun, and this is from an adult perspective. Staff are pleasant as well.

My kids had a really good time. They actually had a 5 star time. I knocked off a star for a few unpleasant moments I had, but we did have a good time. We were all excited pulling in. It had a graveyard themed entrance with the spooky music which got my kids very excited walking in. It was all of our 1^st times so I didn’t know exactly what to expect. When we walked in it was the arcade room. We got there at around 4:00 and it was a total ghost town. I had to look for an employee who directed me where I could purchase tickets to get on the rides. Prior to coming, I seen on their website that they offered an «unlimited ride wristband». But when I requested to purchase the wristbands at the counter, I was informed they no longer offered them. I ended up having to pay $ 38 for my kids to get on 3 rides and play one round of mini golf and 20 tokens. I wished they would have updated their website so I could have known that they no longer offer wristbands before I came. I found them to be extremely expensive in comparison to similar venues. They had a special for a large cheese pizza, pop and 45 tokens for $ 20 which I thought was more reasonably priced deal. The games where pretty cool and they had a nice assortment. I thought their games were cooler than what Chuck E Cheeses has to offer. However, 3 or 4 different games stole our tokens and it was very irritating. Although the employee who came by to refund our tokens was nice, I felt uncomfortable having to keep approaching him about faulty games eating our tokens. Once it was time to redeem our tickets we approached the counter with about 500 tickets that my children split. They literally got plastic fangs, an eraser and a plastic bat (the animal not the sports equipment). I was annoyed by the prices and my kids were annoyed with their «prizes» so I asked if any prizes were available for purchase. They told me no tickets that they only accept tickets for prizes. I was pretty bummed because I have younger children (4 and 7) and they do not win many tickets regardless how many tokens I purchase. At Chuck E Cheese, if you do not have enough tickets to cover the cost of the prize you want, than you have the option to pay the remainder of the cost in cash. But Haunted Trails does not offer prizes for cash. My kids left feeling disappointed with their small bag of junk prizes and I left feeling kind of annoyed. But if my kids enjoyed, regardless of my adult observations and complaints, then to me it was worth the visit.

Great experience for the whole family, including arcade, mini golf, go karts, and batting cages. All reasonably priced.

My God son celebrated his 7^th birthday here and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place was packed, as it should be on a Saturday. They even had a live band in the parking lot. The food and the service was great.

Very happy when I visited with the 3 and 6 year old kids. I haven’t been to this place in over 10 years and was very suprised to see how nothing appeared run down. Mini golf course was clean, nothing was broken, and fun to play. I was pretty excited that they had Junior Go-​Karts so my 6 year old could drive solo for the first time.
Also, they were VERY well staff. Very easy to redeem our tickets for prizes. Only one game had a problem and I was able to quickly track someone down. When we were at the batting cages one of the staff members saw we were using a larger bat and tracked down a smaller lighter one. Finally, very pleased with the attention at the Junior Go-​karts. The staff member goes up to each kid and makes sure they know which is the gas and brake (and test by saying «gas», «brake» and making sure they use the right pedal).

Super fun course! My 10-​year-​old son and I arrived on a weekday specifically to play mini golf right when the park opened. The park has a Halloween theme and lots of spooky decorations in and around the mini golf course. The price was very reasonable. We observed 4 or 5 of the park employees who seemed to be working hard (2 were cleaning the mini golf greens) and were kind and friendly. It was an easy drive from our hotel in Oakbrook Terrace and we will definitely return!

We had so much fun today! I won a photo frame, played go karts, and enjoyed mini golf. This place is not pricy and good for adults.

Well, what can I say. The no sagging policy is a JOKE. BUTTS EVERYWHERE. Came here for my daughters birthday and when we entered the place IT was filthy. i mean paper, candy, tickets, cups all 0n the floor. I was disgusted and would have retreated if it weren’t for the fact the kids wanted to stay. ONCE WE GOT OUTSIDE IT WAS MUCH BETTER. The Go cart track was pretty big, but I didn’t like how they just let the big 20 year olds ride with the 10,11 year olds. They were so competitive and cursing and all types of things. Then they closed down to refuel which took 40 minutes. The other few attractions were ok, kind of boring. This place seems to be for small kids, but seemed to be so many rowdy teens and adults there. The bathroom was nasty and had a stopped up toilet. FOOD– It took literally 35 minutes to get 5 orders of cheese fries and 2 churros. Uuuugh. Now Their other place Enchanted Castle in LOMBARD is SPOTLESS, staff nice, way more things to do like bumper cars, laser tag and they are more efficient. Their go cart track is just small But I WILL PASS UP BURBANK ANYTIME AND HEAD WAY OUT TO LOMBARD TO AVOID THIS PLACE AGAIN. The 2 stars is only because my child LOVED THE GO CART TRACK.

I’ve been going to Haunted Trails for a few years. It’s a good place for kids.
The service was okay, but it’s a bit slow at times. The staff are nice and friendly. The reason why it’s slow is because the food court and the prize center is usually crowded.
Haunted Trails has a lot of attractions the kiddos could ride on. There are batting cages which you got to pay for. Also, there is miniature golf with cute scenery. It’s sad that someone’s golf ball is sometimes hit towards the water. Rest in piece, golf ball! The go-​karts, the Miner Mike coaster, and the Tornado are the other rides.
There are two arcades. One is the main arcade, and the other small one is between the mini golf and Tornado. There are a lot of prizes to choose from. There is a «Ticket Eater» that helps you with how many tickets you have. It can entertain the kids all day.
The food is good. I liked the pizza. It had a good sauce, and a great cheese. The crust was nice and crunchy.
The group packages are ridiculous. They may seem fun, but quite ridiculous. If you get the attraction ticket, the go karts are THREE of those. Seriously Haunted Trails? It’s also sad that the other attractions are TWO ride tickets.
All in all, Haunted Trails is a great place for your kids. The food is good, the rides and arcade are entertaining for the kids, okay service, but the group packages are ridiculous. I will come back again.

On a whim, we decided to check this place out on Father’s Day. I knew this could go either very bad or very well. Fortunately for us we had a great time today! A bit crowded but less than expected for being Father’s Day for sure.
What made this a 5 star experience? The hospitality. The staff here went above and beyond to be helpful and polite the entire time. I was shocked to see a staff of so many young people and not once did we see anyone on their phones. Wow.
It was so much fun to see my husband rekindling memories of his childhood with our children. The park was kept so clean and staff was plentiful, often regulating the children who wandered around without a parent in sight. One of the best miniature golf courses we’ve been to since moving (back) to Chicago.
So for $ 18 each the kids got $ 5 worth of tokens, 5 ride tickets and a round of mini golf. Tokens, 3 for $ 1. I hate this. Maybe I’m just old now but this makes the arcade get expensive quickly. Batting cages are 15 pitches for $ 1.25 and they have soft and fast pitch speeds.
They had a fantastic Father’s Day special! Free lunch (with sides and a drink) annnnnd free golf!
Unlimited ride wristbands available Monday — Friday. Bring your original report cards and get 2 tokens for every A and 1 token for each B!

We had a great time here with the kids. Family fun day was affordable and memorable. Even the adults had a good time.

Never to old for this place! I really enjoy coming here. The staff is great always willing to help. The food is delicious and the games and mini golf are so much fun.

Haunted Trails is great. It’s such a fun place. Children and adults enjoy it.

I came here with my kids, my 11 yr old is actually taller then me and could go on by himself but couldn’t accompany my 6 yr old on the go carts because there was a minimum 16yr old age requirement.
All in all a fun place for the kiddies, a few suggestions though.
1.) Come with an equal adult to child ratio in place.
2.) Don’t buy the $ 55 ~10 go cart ride package, instead buy per ride you’ll spend an extra 50 cents per ride but after 2 rides and standing in line for 20 min at a time in the hot scorching sun my kids were ready to go inside, where it was nice and cool and play arcades.
3.) Hit the McDonald’s next door before or as your leaving. Food court in this place gets pretty crowded, the food is a little pricey and subpar at best.

Great local place to take the kids. They always have a good time here and as an added bonus… they work closely with all the local schools giving them various coupons and vouchers as rewards for everything from prize wheels at school dances to prizes for reading. It’s nice that they get involved with the local schools in the area.
We just used up a voucher the other day that was good for 2 for 1 mini golf that my daughter brought home from school. Kids had a blast! My kids also really love the go karts and the mini roller-​coaster (3 year old is not tall enough for the go karts, so happy they have the roller coaster next to the go karts so I can keep an eye on them both.)
They have a good amount of arcade games inside as well and kids can earn tickets to redeem for prizes. They also have a space inside where you can buy food. I’ve never tried the food as I didn’t expect it to be all that great and it can get pretty crowded as it’s a small area. There is a McDonalds directly behind Haunted Trails and a ton of other restaurants surrounding it, so you will have no trouble finding a place to eat with the kids. My kids usually like going to the Pizza Hut, iHop or Panera across the street from here afterwards.
