My daughter has been here for a year and she loves it. GREAT Staff and a great program! Love seeing her progress!

I really love this place for a few reasons. 1. I was a student here in 1988 and for several years thereafter, and 2. it has absolutely helped my daughter with her self esteem and confidence.
I decided to give this place a try with a Living Social Deal first, just to make sure my daughter would like it. She is 3 and is incredibly shy and is very cautious. We absolutely LOVE Teacher Tammi. The first few weeks of the class, my daughter would not go down the slide into the foam pit, would not swing on the rope into the foam pit, or even attempt a somersault. Now my daughter can’t wait for class and likes to be the first person to do any of the demonstrations or to get up the ladder to the slide.
At first though, this place was too crowded for me. Before you get upset about it though, realize that its crowded for a reason. People enjoy it! That should be a good sign. Parking does suck, but you can manage. There’s a small lot behind the building and street parking. If you don’t like how crowded it is, try to get a class while most kids are in school. I’m lucky that my work schedule allows me to be with my daughter on Tuesday for her class, we are able to go right after preschool gets out. Although, with the change of class time, I do miss the conditioning and fitness class that Alex would run during my daughters Tuesday 4:15 class. It was real fun to watch and I’d find myself really liking the exercises he would have the kids do (gave me inspiration for at home workouts) and the music he would choose as well. When my daughter is old enough, I’m definitely signing her up for that. Alex seems fun and the kids really love him! We have had subs here for Teacher Tammi’s classes when she can’t be there and we liked them just as much, Codi and Quinton come to mind, they are the sweetest! I find this place to be very professional, we have had no issues with anyone, but if we ever did, I know they would handle it the right way. If you need to cancel at any time, let them know before class, and you can always schedule a make up. Thank you Fun and Fit for helping my daughter gain confidence and to try new things without being afraid!

This is a fantastic place to come and learn gymnastics. They seem to take all shapes and sizes and train them in the most positive and fun learning environment.
The kids always seems to be having a great time. The coaches are very encouraging and each one seems to have a unique teaching style. By looking at the gym area you might think things will be chaotic but everything is very well organized and none of the multiple classes going on ever collide.

Enrolled my 4 year old girl after being recommended from former students. Class was over-​full, and while the instructors were outgoing and playful, the class structure left much to be desired. Too many kids in a circuit caused a huge waiting line several times, and the attention per kid time was minimal at best. There were 10 kids for two instructors, and instead of splitting the group into two smaller groups, they kept them together, which minimized even more time. Add to that the trampoline time was terribly organized, with one child going at a time while nine waited their turn, and you can see why we quit the program within two months.
The potential is there. They have a great space and energetic coaches. They just need to better plan out their class and timing so kids can get a maximum workout in the short time they are there (speaking only from experience of the pre-​k class). I don’t pay the fees so my kid can sit half the class.

We love Fun & Fit for many reasons, but the biggest one: teacher, Alex G. We’ve been sending our son there since he was 2 (he’s 5 ½ now) and he’s been training with Alex since day one. We’ve tried their other teachers, and they’re all great. But Alex is our favorite. We trust him wholeheartedly and appreciate his approach. I don’t agree with the negative reviews singling Alex out. Perhaps those parents don’t appreciate his approach to teaching. We’ve never found him abrasive or insensitive. Quite the opposite. Is he assertive? Yes. But he’s also very kind and great with kids. Fact is they LEARN with him and are SAFE. Isn’t that the point? Truth is Alex is the reason we keep sending our son to Fun & Fit. He’s already doing flips, cartwheels and handstands at 5!!!
Ps the facility also hosts party nights once a month, which are fun for the kids and let us (the parents) escape for a nice date night. Gotta love that!

My 3.5 year old is taking Ms. Janelle’s class and just loves it! My child wakes up everyday asking if it’s time to go to gymnastics class! Ms. Janelle has such great energy and handles the kids so well and speaks to them with respect, and offers positive reinforcement, while keeping their behavior in line as well. She’s a wonderful teacher and I definitely recommend her and Fun & Fit in Burbank!

My oldest daughter took the Kids Progressive class here a little over a year ago and LOVED it! The teachers she had (variety of gals) were super enthusiastic. Their positive reinforcement and can-​do encouragement gave my daughter the space she needed to test her skills physically and to build confidence.
I just enrolled my younger daughter (4 years old) in the same class, hoping for the same experience, and we were less than impressed with the teacher, Alex.
For a business who’s mission is to promote a non-​competitive, enthusiastic environment, this teacher seems a poor fit. My 4 year old took a basic gymnastics class at a different facility about a year ago and she excelled — this was her first class back after that year-​long hiatus and, at 4, I thought she did well, following complex instructions, and remaining enthusiastic despite Alex’s approach. She definitely needs assistance with her skills, and today my daughter suggested that she practice her forward rolls at home so that Alex wouldn’t «be MAD» at her next time. She’s awesome for wanting to practice! AND a 4-​year-​old should not be made to feel that her teacher will be «mad at her» for not having enough skill! Alex asked my child how old she was during the class (I imagine because he thought her to be under-​skilled).
During the class, another teacher made a comment (which I didn’t hear) to Alex. His response was that these kids were going to have to WORK! today, then made a comment to a kid about how they needed to work hard to get strong. I’m all for strength building and hard work AND I expect that to be packaged appropriately for this age.
Side note: my husband is an ex-​football player who is familiar both with hard work and coaches. He sat through this class with me, and at one point I looked over at him wide-​eyed at our daughter’s experience. I asked if he was ok with this and he replied, «barely.»
At the end of class, Alex approached us and said, «I’m assuming your daughter is new to this.» Perhaps my interpretation, but I was taken aback. At 4 years of age and at this NON-​competitive facility specifically, I expected the teacher to be more nurturing of my child’s development and to meet her at HER level. (Was there a class prerequisite we missed?) My kid should not be made to feel less-​than because she isn’t meeting the teacher’s expectations in a BEGINNING class at age 4!!!
I’m super disappointed to have to pull her from this class — there was not another section open with a different teacher. My daughter was SUPER excited to do gymnastics and is now incredibly disappointed to to not be returning for a sport she is very interested in — but she deserves a positive experience.
I’m presuming this maybe wasn’t Alex’s best day. But at best, I’d say this age group is not his forte. When I called in today to provide feedback, I was heard and the gal I spoke with said she’d give Alex the feedback. Nice enough, I suppose, but that is not going to help my daughter continue this season. It would be lovely if the management would give more consideration to appropriate teacher placement.

Initially there was an unreasonable problem while signing up for the class where they insisted on separating my kids instead of allowing to do an intro class together and evaluate their development. I was very frustrated but the president himself called me later that day and handled everything. We had a class today and it went great. Teacher Alex was firm and friendly instructor and kids loved it. After discussing with the teacher we ARE going to separate the kids but it makes total sense to us and it will be for a month just so the youngest can get his share of running around the new space:) Overall very impressed with the facility, organized set up and clean. Very happy. Hope to give it 5 starts later on down the road.

My daughter has only been with Fun and Fit a short time but that is all we need to say that we love it! The staff are all super friendly and helpful. They interact with all the kids in such a fun and positive way. They even make it a point to say hi to my youngest who isn’t even in a class. My daughter has had classes with Coach Codi, Coach Janelle, Coach Keith, and Coach Shawn. They are all fantastic! We just recently started private lessons with Coach Shawn on top of Hot Shots team and a regular class. I can not say enough positive things about Shawn! He is excellent with my daughter. He pushes her just enough but still makes it fun for her! She is progressing so fast and so great that I cant believe it! And her other teacher Coach Codi is awesome! She engages the kids and has fun with them! I feel very thankful to have found such a great place with such great teachers and staff!

This has been the 2^nd summer my daughter has attended camp at Fun & Fit, and she loves it!

Where do I begin? Great classes for my son and the instructors are amazingly talented and patient. Heard about the boys progressive class from another parents and my son was interested. The instructor, Courtney Foote, is patient and talented with the kids. I was told her works for the Clippers so his resume is substantial. My son comes home bragging about new moves that he learned. I love seeing my son active and happy. Would recommend this Fit Center to any parent looking to get their kids active.

OK, my first ever review on Unilocal.**I just saw that I am posting under my husband who uses Unilocal,so I quick logged in to edit– This is my first review, but he has reviewed other things. I never took the time to write a review, but Fun n’ Fit is worth it.
Helpful information: I live in Burbank and have two children who attend classes– boy, age 6 and girl, age 3. My son has taken classes since he was 3 and my daughter since she was 1. I have done birthday parties at Fun n’ Fit. My kids have attended the day camps, the parks and recs program classes, the party nights, and the open gyms. We have had sicknesses and surgeries that required extended absences.
There is so much to review, but let me start by saying that one of the major reasons I stay at Fun n’ Fit is the quality of the instructors. They like children and working with children. They make the kids feel good and encourage them to achieve. They care about safety and make it a priority, always. They design age appropriate programs, and kids are encouraged to move through the skill sets, graduating to a new set of skills when they have achieved mastery. The students and parents can track skills with a poster and stars, which are provided by the instructors. Every instructor knows his or her students and keeps careful track of the students’ strengths and weaknesses. We have worked with many of the teachers there including Alex, Codi, Janelle, Elyssa, Danielle, Jaime, Courtney and Shawn. My kids love them all, and as many other reviewers have mentioned, Alex is as good as they say.
Party nights are awesome, and the kids have a great time in a safe and structured environment. The open gyms are a great opportunity to choose the skill you personally want to work on, and my kids love it. It is run smoothly, safely and efficiently. They get a lot in during that hour and a half. The day camps are also structured, safe and fun. The kids do a variety of activities, and the instructors give them tons of attention with plenty of staff on hand to keep a close eye on the kids. The staff told me after every session what my son ate and did not eat from his lunch! They kept encouraging my son to eat the healthy foods first and would always make sure he ate well. The care of the staff is always above and beyond.
The parks and recs program is excellent for the value, and it is not just a sub-​par class that is OK for the money. I would do it more often if it was at a better time. My son enjoyed it and had the same great teachers and did the same focused gymnastics as he did in his regular Fun n’ Fit classes.
The birthday parties are oh-​so-​convenient and FUN!!! EVERY, SINGLE time I have a party there, my friends from LA say they WISH they had a gym like this for their kids. There is a lot to say about the parties, but suffice it to say that as a parent, it could not be easier, and the kids LOVE it! Highly Recommend! (Also, I have had parties with a WIDE age range of children, and the staff made it fun for toddlers and big kids! It’s awesome.)
Fun n’ Fit is EXCELLENT about honoring make-​ups and giving parents opportunities to use the make-​ups. I have sat on the phone and stood at the desk for long periods of time while the staff patiently helped me figure out my own crazy scheduling– always, always, helping me find what worked best for me and my family. If we ever wanted to change classes, the staff would insist that we do a free trial to make sure we liked the class, even though we were members and knew most of the teachers. Fun n’ Fit really is concerned about the experience the child has above all else.
I think Fun n’ Fit is worth every penny we have spent over the years. The gym is clean and safe, and the instructors really care about the kids. Even after years of going there, my kids still get excited when it is their turn to go to class… and that is how I know that Fun n’ Fit is all kinds of awesome.

My 2.5 year old daughter has been attending Fun and Fit for about 6 months and loves every minute of it. During the Mommy and Me class with teacher Alex my daughter learns the fundamentals of gymnastics, waiting her turn and participating in group activities.
Alex is always very attentive to every child and gets every child excited about learning something new. His energy is contagious and he creates an safe and enthusiastic environment that promotes fun and fitness!
The facility is always very clean and the staff is more than helpful. I would recommend Fun and Fit to anyone with children of all ages. Fun and Fit is a place where children can learn and grow in a safe and rewarding environment.

Both my kids attend Fun and Fit Gymnastics. Typically, I usually wait a couple months to get the full experience before I write a review about a place.
My kids have been here for over a year now, and I’m late in sharing my feelings and thoughts. So here I am.
My kids enjoy Fun and Fit. The coaches are absolutely amazing and ALWAYS full of energy! They are supportive and have never put any pressure on my kids to move up, yet they strive for each child to succeed. In addition, the gym has a non-​competitive philosophy, allowing each child to grow and only compete with themselves.
It’s really great to see the how excited my kids get when we’re on our way to the gym. I’m eager to see how much they grow throughout the next couple of years ahead.

I love this place. It is kid friendly and you can also take advanced classes for older children. They have young staff who are great with the kids! My daughter loves her class and always leaves wanting to come back! I decided to enroll her when she started to flip in my house!
Her teacher, Nicole, is super energetic and takes her time getting to know our family! She is very personable and tells me all the time how well my daughter is doing. I am never disappointed when I watch her teach!
I also love how most of the Instructors have gymnastic backgrounds. They love to show off their skills when they have the opportunity.
I agree the gym is small but they use there space very well!

Wow, lots of five stars for this place! how surprising! i have no experience with birthday parties here, but my daughter was enrolled in gymnastics classes via parks & rec for 2 semesters, which I have been told by staff is «different» than signing up directly with the gym. I take their word, however, it was… so lame! This is more like a «my gym» than a real gymnastics studio. Great for toddlers to get them moving. I bet the’d have a lot of fun. If you have an older children, like 5, I would look at the other gym in Burbank.
Alex is the only teacher there worth his salt. The others are total babysitters! I couldn’t imagine paying $ 100 a month for this place. My daughter didn’t learn anything there, though she did get a good workout. Alex shouts directions loudly & quickly and the children do their best to follow his instructions, though i can’t say they learn a lot. They do get a good work out though! Other instructors I saw were totally ineffective: weak and giggly and young. There are many wild children in the classes that don’t listen to directions, and the instructors struggle with getting them to listen and do what’s asked.
It’s a good place to start, but most people move on after awhile.

My daughter looooooves this place. She has some sensory issues and some delays that we are working on an the staff here has been absolutely amazing in taking interest in her challenges and making sure they respect an address them. They constantly encourage and praise her progress and make her and all the other kids in her class feel like there are no limits to what they can achieve. She never wants to go home and just can’t get enough. Congratulations guys in creating such an amazing place for our children to learn, grow and love. Can’t thank you enough!

The class begins with free play followed by routine play (parachute, trampoline, obstacle course, swinging). Children get foot stamps at the end of the class. Ample space, clean, competent instructor, plenty of street parking. Fees are abt $ 15 – 20 per 45-​min class. Free T-​shirt during sign-​up. I star short of perfection for the pricey rate and no parking lot.

We had my son’s birthday party here. I would give it a 5 stars but what knocked it out was the small place to eat… the dampy smell of the place and the kitchen not necessarily the cleanest. The 5 stars though do go to the instructors who seem to really engage the kids… the parents can sit back and enjoy. For a birthday party… the kids are not bored… they are exercising and having a blast. My son will be back again and again.

If you are looking for a great place to host a birthday party and keep the kids in attendance preoccupied for the entire time, this is that place!
I was here Saturday for a birthday party for my friend Denise L’s granddaughter (who had turned 5 years old). Fun & Fit was adequately staffed for this birthday party, as they had 3 young ladies tend to the needs of the family and guests.
Fun & Fit transforms one of their rooms into a banqueting room, fully equipped with tables and benches.
Their staff will spend time entertaining the children, having them perform various gymnastic tumbles, etc.
All I can say is that the owners are truly running a great operation and providing an awesome service. If the very little exposure I had is any indication of how they operate their primary business of gymnastics, then I’m certain they have a truly magnificent program.
