History

Established in 2010.

I love to dig in the dirt and haven’t ever had fancy fingernails (with the exception of some killer hot pink acrylics for 2 weeks in the 8^th grade). Floral & Hardy grew naturally from my passion: inspiring people to make their outdoor spaces beautiful. Most of my clients don’t have a tremendous budget, and would simply like to use their patio and backyard a little more. If you have photos of gardens and patios that inspire you but are not sure how to make the transformation happen, I can help. (And it brings me great joy to do so!) Once we’ve completed your project you’ll spend more time outside with your friends and family, which is more valuable than almost anything.

Before I had my two children I worked in the creative departments at Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., and Paramount Pictures. Over the years I’ve honed my design skills and apply what I’ve learned about light, color, proportion, and texture to all different aspects of life; from small projects like creating an inviting back porch retreat, all the way to major outdoor renovations. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in some far away places including Bali, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Japan, Morocco, Algeria, Italy, France and Spain. Because of the nature of my work and travels, understanding other cultures — rather than merely visiting and enjoying — has been paramount to the development of my worldview as well as having greatly influenced my garden design.
