Lonnie and Josh are fantastic! They are knowledgeable and honest. They spent extra time with us and gave us so much information that I took notes. These gentlemen are top notch!

Was having trouble with one leg of my power and did NOT want to play with anything near the open power lines (pre-​main). Called Lonnie and even tho it was late and clear across the valley, he came out and in a couple moments he discerned that the issue was with the city’s power connection. He called them and set up a visit, saving me the money I would have spent trying to DIY this thing. THEN we hung around chatting until way after dark. I’ve got a new electrician. Give him a call.

I am about to lease a commercial space in Burbank, and panicked when I saw the results of the inspection. Looked like a potential major expense to upgrade the electrical, so I scrambled to find an electrician. I found Flash Gordon on Unilocal,and Lonny answered the phone. He took the time to discuss the problem, and let me know it wasn’t actually a problem at all. In late November 2015, just before the Thanksgiving weekend, I needed to get an outdoor outlet installed on our house ASAP for landscaping irrigation and lighting systems, as a part of a landscaping project. I called another five-​star Unilocal electrician first who never returned my call (which I only realized later that same day). My next call was to Flash Gordon Electric, also based on great Unilocal reviews, and Lonny answered my call. After explaining what was needed, he said he’d come by shortly to have a look and give me an estimate, He and his associate, Josh, showed up within the hour, assessed the job and made recommendations for the type of outdoor outlet that they felt would best meet the landscaping contractor’s requirements for the lighting and irrigation systems which were being installed later that day. In about two and a half hours total, the work was all completed and the outlet beautifully and expertly installed. Our landscaping contractor was also very impressed with the speed, the outlet and the workmanship! The fee was completely reasonable as I’d seen how much had gone into the job.
In fact, I was so pleased that upon returning home from a trip out of town for the Holidays two days ago, we came home late from LAX to an ice palace of a house with the recent cold spell we’ve had and couldn’t get the heater to turn on. We knew that our old thermostat needed replacing as it hadn’t been working consistently in the past year in terms of easily turning on the wall heater. After a freezing cold night spent huddled under the covers with our two cats, I called Lonny first thing in the morning and explained the problem to him. He said though he was very busy, he sympathized so he’d be by that day around 2:00 p.m., He showed up right around 2:00, looked at everything and checked all relevant wiring, and he got the heater working at least for the short term, while he went out and bought a new thermostat. He returned closer to 5:30 p.m. after being at another job site as well (which he’d told me about before he left), and he spent a good 45 minutes in total from installation of the new thermostat to testing the connections and turning the heater off and on again several times to make sure it was working. He also checked all the wires in the heater itself to make sure they were connected properly and safe. He did suggest we also have the Gas company come out and look everything over as well as an extra precaution that everything was now working. But the point is, he was great – just as he was before, and his fee was completely reasonable given how much time he spent to make sure the thermostat would turn on the heat. It’s been working perfectly now for more than 24 hours and the cold spell continues. So, as far as I’m concerned and based on my two experiences with Lonny, Flash Gordon is my new go-​to electrician for everything.

I had Lonny come this spring to give me an estimate on a job. He spent a lot of time with me and laid out a lot of great options. I ended up not doing the work, but when I needed some help with rewiring a GFIC outlet this week, he was the first guy I thought of. Great service and in and out in less than a hour for $ 80. I will definitely be using him again.

Suddenly two major outlets in my apartment weren’t working anymore. Lonnie and and his assistant Josh came at a moments notice.
They worked quickly to find and solve the problem, which is saying a lot since my building is 1930s and nothing has ever been updated.
Lonnie’s rate was more than reasonable. I’ve recommended to my building owner that she use him as the go-​to electrician for future problems.

This guy ran new wiring in a horribly difficult attic space for me and put up a ceiling fan, fixed some electrical issues in multiple places (light switches and outlets not working right), and installed some new exterior lights for me. I’ve worked with him many times. He’s a fantastic guy, incredibly responsive and always explains everything in detail when I ask. Really enjoy working with him and would highly recommend him for any and all electrical concerns and needs. Prompt, quick and concise work, done right and done clean every time.

Lonnie is good to work with. Honest and on time. I met him via some clients that hired him for an inspection at a property we had in escrow and have referred him to several people since then. Honesty, timely, and reasonably priced, not sure what else you could ask for in an electrician.

We just had our garage rewired by Lonny and his assistant, and they did an excellent job. Lonny is extremely experienced and takes a lot of pride in his work. He can recommend various solutions and point out the «best» one to go with. But also he will work with budget constraints and aesthetic preferences, so even if going with the «best» solution isn’t feasible he will still be very accommodating and make sure there is 100% client satisfaction. I will definitely recommend Flash Gordon Electric to any of my friends!

Lonnie at Flash Gordon is an excellent contractor. I contacted others but was most impressed by Lonnie’s solid knowledge of his trade and the suggestions he made that best accommodated my situation. He upgraded the electrical system in my 1950s SFV home, installing a 220v electrical panel and updating two existing subpanels. He also assisted me in fixing a dead line to the garage and provided room to grow that stand-​alone structure at a future date, whether it be for updated garage use or remodeled as a living space. His pricing was excellent, and extremely competitive. I highly recommend Flash Gordon Electric. I was very happy with their service, work ethic, and that they honored their time commitment for the job (2 days).

Extremely knowledgable. Had a breaker issue due to shoddy electrical in my place. They had a prompt response and we’re very helpful in helping me with the issue prior to coming to the residence. I would highly recommend them.

Whenever I see a bunch of 5 star reviews, I’m always somewhat skeptical, but Flash Gordon Electric deserves every single one! Lonny was quick, effective, and even stayed to help install some new outlets — which wasn’t even part of the fix! Not to mention, when we had consulted a previous electrician, they spent 2 hours finding nothing then said we needed to open the drywall. Flash Gordon? Finished the whole job (and the additional work) in under an hour! Cannot recommend them enough, and will definitely be using them in the future!

Lonny was able to come by on the same day to check out an issue my building was having with light switches. It was a bit of an electrical gremlin that took a bit longer to fix than expected. He quoted a fair price and kept to it, even though he had to return again the following day with additional parts. A solid electrician, professional, and easy going guy. Will call him again in the future for electric needs.

These guys know what they’re doing. We needed several electrical jobs done around the house (adding recessed lighting, switching out incandescent lighting for LED, adding switches and plugs, adding outdoor lighting, etc.). Lonny came out and gave us an estimate and recommendations on what he thought would look best based on his experience. He didn’t try to «up-​sell» us on anything, and even recommended not doing a couple things we were considering.
He came out with three other guys and finished everything up in one day. His employees are very polite and professional as well. Would recommend them for any type of electrical work.

Had Lonny come out again to add some dedicated circuits in the kitchen. Awesome job again, came on time and done on time, no extra charges, and clean! Went above and beyond in replacing some wire that was frayed at no additional cost.

Flash Gordon Electric was AMAZING! We had several jobs that needed to be done in a timely manner. Lonny and his assistant was able to come in and get it all done in one day! We needed to relocate our wireless internet, move and hide wires for our alarm pad, relocate some light switches for a laundry room, remove a ceiling fan, as well as install 10 recessed lights with light switches. Lonny and his company came in and did a fantastic job. As expected they had to cut holes in the walls in order to fish the lines down but the patch job they did was great! Instead of just removing the fan and sticking a plate up to cover the hole, they actually removed the fan AND can then they did a fabulous patch job. After painting the areas you could not tell anything had been done to the wall! They worked quickly and professionally.
But the most important part was that he saved our house from burning down. Our heating unit is located up in the attic. While up there Lonny checked the outlet it was plugged in to and noticed the plug AND outlet were melting and on the verge of burning down! He took the time to replace the outlet with one that could handle the amps needed for the unit and he replaced the plug too. We are so grateful that he took it upon himself to check this out. He also suggested installing a smoke alarm up there. I went out to get one and he put it up for us.

Lonny did a whole house rewire for my new abode and I couldn’t be more pleased. When he does a job it’s done right, and the whole process is efficiently communicated. Not only does he do excellent work, but he also cares about the quality of his work to a degree which you rarely see in contractors.
