First Trust Escrow

Horrible service. Lack of communication between them and our bank. Quitdeed claim needed to be notarized but person needing to sign was out of town. Was told to go to embassy to get it notarized. Did that, then when we mailed it to them stated that the notary might not work because it didn’t have some ribbon with gold outline. Even though it was an official seal from the embassy. like really? STRIKE ONE. Also, had to call them to schedule a tentative appt to meet at their office to sign closing docs. Was told loan docs were not received yet but will confirm the appt once they receive them. Call them back later that day to confirm because I never received a call back from them to confirm. As I call backed at 4pm, they stated down payment needed to be funded that day. If I didn’t call back, how would I have known? STRIKE TWO. HORRIBLE communication… Instead of going there to sign we finally got them to get a mobile notary to come to us. Signed document to include property tax and insurance in mortgage payments. I log on to see if our monthly mortgage included the property tax and insurance but find out that the escrow did not set it up an escrow account… STRIKE THREE. Escrow fees are on the high end as well. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO USE!!!

Rosemary made multiple errors, with snide, or no acknowledgment when I pointed them out; you really need to doublecheck each and every step of your transaction.
