Update** this response is to the doctors comment below. I wore my retainers every single day for 11 years. (Ask my mom… I’m sure you remember her interrogating you for all those brackets your assistants broke and we paid for). After 11 years the slanted teeth and gap between my front two teeth irritated me to the point where I had to get a second set of braces. I couldn’t even do Invisalign because they needed so much work. The other Doctor shaved my teeth and closed the gap and secured it with a permanent wire behind it, fixed my slanted teeth and also fixed my overbite (trust me, even I noticed the huge difference). Do please, do not tell me my teeth are «perfect». I can assure you perfect teeth don’t need a second set of braces. Spare yourself the excuses.

Unfortunately, I can only go up to five stars here. Dr. Zand is awesome and I couldn’t be any happier with her services. Her staff is also a big part of her success. I went to three orthodontists before choosing Dr. Zand, who came highly recommended to me, and I could not be happier with my decision. What stands out most about Dr. Zand is the kindness she exhibits towards the individual patient. She is a kind and caring woman. I have seen the results of her work and I take comfort in knowing that I will have this perfect smile forever. I am glad I chose Dr. Zand for my orthodontic needs and I would choose her again and recommend her to all my friends and family!

Like numerous other posts, she also extracted 4 healthy teeth, slanted my teeth back, left gaps open, etc…
I had to get braces again, I already have small teeth so the fact that she removed 4 teeth isn’t helping. I’m even considering getting implants for the teeth she removed so I can have a nice smile.
Waste of time and money. She did the same thing to another family member of mine.

Wow! I was reading previous reviews that others have written about Dr Zand and her office and I have to say I am shocked! Due to school my review took me a long time to write, so even though long overdue I had to review this place!
Here’s one thing Dr Zand always says… follow the procedures as you are told and you will get a good outcome (and I definitely agree with that).
I had my braces taken off in June of this year (2015) after having them on for over two years. There was a point where I was upset that it was taking longer than the time explained by the Dr. but I quietly went through the process as she suggested and did the rubber bands as directed and flossed and now use my retainers as I was told to do and so far I have no complaints at all.
The staff is amazing. Evita who runs the front desk and runs to help out in the back as much as she can too, as busy as she is, always speaks with a smile on her face and is so sweet. She always tries to work with you and whatever your need is.
The staff inside is really nice too. They try their best to get you in and out of the office fast but you know she’s a good Dr when all the seats are always full with patients.
When searching for Orthodontists in my area that would do invisalign because at almost age 30 I didn’t want to have metals in my mouth, there were some Orthodontists that gave me prices as high as the price of a car (no joke I was quoted $ 6,500 to $ 8,500 elsewhere). When I was referred to Dr Zand by at least 10 of my friends and relatives and even the bank teller at my local bank, I decided to give her a try. I went in and asked her about invisalign. Of course it would be more profit for her to do the invisalign treatment right? I mean it’s way more expensive than the regular braces, but she took the time to explain to me that even though it would be financially beneficial to her company she wouldn’t recommend it for me because of the specific problems that I have with my teeth and I could do invisalign and would not see good results so it would be a waste of my money. No other Orthodontist cared about how much I would be spending and what would be beneficial, they only tried to get me to pay the higher price.
With that I must say that I love her integrity, her kindness, her patience and her knowledge and expertise in her field!
I refer Dr Zand to anyone who tells me they are looking for a great place to get braces and will continue to do so… but seriously do everything she says and you will get good results!

I was always insecure about my teeth; however dr. Zand made that insecurity go away. I couldn’t be more happier with my teeth! Great customer service also. Lady in the front named Evita is always helpful

Don’t even waste your time here at the end of your braces your teeth will be in horrible shape! Waste of time and definitely waste of money. A one star is even way too much for her.

DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! Not only I wasted my money but I was super displeased with the results.
It’s been couple of years now since they took off my braces and there’s still a gap between my canine teeth (she ordered one canine from left and right to be taken out).
When I told her about my concern she simply said not to worry, the gap will close over time. IT NEVER DID.
When my braces were taken off I confronted her, she simply said that she can send me to her son who can fix the gap problem (her children are also in the dentistry profession).
Made me feel like I was a walking piggy bank (not only I paid more than 3,000 for my braces but now she wanted to send me to her son do he could make some money).
Shame. 1 star is a more than enough for this kind of service.

I referred My sister massy to Dr Farnaz Zand for braces although all the other Drs had suggested that she had very complicated case and she is not candidate for braces Dr Zand took care of her problem with total patience and excellent work .she is 100% satisfied with the result .I recommend anybody with the need for orthodontic treatment to Dr Zand

This dentist is crazy. I went it to get a quote for Invisalign and she recommended me to extract my four canine teeth and get regular braces. She is crazy!!! I take care of my teeth and I am 28 years old and i have never gotten a cavity. I went and got my Invisalign at another clinic without them extracting my teeth. It scares me that she is a dentist. Please don’t go.

My mouth is entirely ruined due to her terrible work. 11 years later and I’m still paying the price. She had me extract 4 healthy teeth right before placing braces! Whenever I would tell her I think my mouth shape is narrowing too much and my bite isn’t closing without struggle, she’d brush it off and say if anything your bites way better now. It was the biggest waste of time and money because my bite didn’t get corrected and on the contrary only worsened!

One star is too much ! Run !!!’ After having brace on for3 years my bottom jaw got smaller and gaps are growing daily ! Have to pay someone else to fix what she did !!! Just stay away for your own good!

The service here is amazing! They treat you like family from the moment you walk in! I’ve been coming for 3+ years and finally got the braces taken out today! Wow! What an amazing change! Thank you Dr. Zand, Evita, and staff for your hard work and being so wonderful each time! You’re the best!:)

This review is from 2005 – 2007 when I was her patient. She broke the tip of my front tooth because my underbite was resting on the bottom brace. My bottom teeth are all crooked now! After 7 years I’m still wearing retainers. If I skip a night I have a gap in between my front teeth & mind you I never had a gap prior to getting braces. I highly suggest you go to a different orthodontist. She’s really not worth it. I went to a different ortho couple of months after getting my braces off, he said that only 80% of the work was done. Not worth the pain you’ll be going through.

One star because they don’t let you do no stars. Dr. Zand told me one price, then later overcharged me $ 250.00… then if that’s not bad enough she ordered the wrong retainers for me, and when I addressed her about it she reassured me that I would get the ones I paid for soon. I called every other day for 3 weeks when finally someone there told me that the order was picked up weeks ago. So basically they never ordered my retainers; the retainers I paid for. Just don’t waste your patience. If you need to spend an extra couple hundred to a thousand at least go somewhere where you can expect honesty and great results… not someone who only cares about the money and not the client.

A quick advice, if your reading her reviews, read those the patients gave and not the parents. There is a HUGE difference in waiting in the waiting room and sitting in her uncomfortable chair.
If you’re thinking about coming here because it cheaper, trust me when I say that you’ll spend more time and money after fixing the mistakes made here.
Her office is outdated and uncomfortable.
(Granted I haven’t been there in a while but I highly doubt it’s changed)
When I was their patient, they posted the past patients all over the hallways reassuring you that you’re at the right place but to me it was all creepy and defiantly not reassuring.
I wasted both my time and money going there and because of that I’m now spending time and money literally redoing my teeth! Don’t make the same mistake.

Honestly I get so heated just thinking about the amount of time I wasted at her office. Ugh it makes me so mad. HORRIBLE service. I had to wait at least an hour each time I went for my braces. Sometimes it took at least two hours just to be called in to sit inside for another thirty minutes until someone came just for a ten minute tightening (she wouldn’t even do it, her assistants would do it while chatting with each other). When I think about how much time I’ve wasted at her office just waiting it gets me so mad.
Anyway after I got my braces off, she said the retainers would take one week. I called to see if they’re ready a week later she said it takes two weeks. After two weeks I called and it was still not ready. Three weeks later I finally got my retainers back but by this time my teeth became crooked again. I literally had the retainers in my mouth ²⁴⁄₇ and would only take it out when I ate then I would brush my teeth and put it back on. A couple weeks after I continuously put my retainers on I complained that my teeth were still crooked (since she gave it to me three weeks late) and that the retainers weren’t doing anything. She just said that I’m not wearing it enough. -.- I seriously wanted to slap her cause I’m very responsible when it comes to things like that. Ughh. Anyway I got tired of going to her office and waiting for her to look at it and my teeth we’re going back to the way they were before so I decided to get Invisalign. And now I’m happy :) but I regret going to her for braces. I should’ve just stuck to Invisalign cause it takes half the time and i didn’t waste that much time in an office just waiting since my dentist’s service is great.
Oh and the retainers she gave me were like the ugliest things ever and they were honestly sooooo cheap like I could bend it however I wanted to. And I know retainers are ugly in general (well not the Invisalign ones lol) but a lot of orthodontists gave out nicer and better quality retainers.

I went to her years ago to get my braces because she was the most affordable. Please people spend a little more money because you won’t have to in the future. She took 4 of my teeth. Every dentist and ortho I have talked to since said she should never have done that. It was unnecessary and by doing that she creates these ugly slanted teeth.
I hate smiling now and have proceeded to dish out thousands just to get cosmetic work done. Spend the money early and get a proper orthodontist. She spends about 30 seconds with you when you go in and any concerns you have are ignored. Any questions you have are ignored. She is the worst ortho I have ever encountered. I never saw the same assistant twice because they were always leaving and new ones were hired. That means that I always had inexperienced people working on my teeth. Go to my appt once a month to see some kid work on my teeth for 5 minutes and yet I’m dishing out all this money to someone I see for 30 seconds. Waste of money. Waste of time. Please please please go to someone better.
I even filed a report against her with the Better Business Bureau to get my money back and she ignored any contact the BBB tried to make with her and they filed a report that she ignored my attempts to contact her for a refund.
Ridiculous! Hate her!!!

I highly recommend Dr. Zand to all my friends. I couldn’t be happier with the results I got from her. She has been great with the service since she started. I came to see her two and a half years ago and I couldn’t be more excited about the outcome :)
The first day I came to see her she examined my teeth and explained the steps I had to take. I got my X-​Rays and paid $ 600 the first time for the start up fee. The next week I was already with braces. The whole process was a pain in the butt but worth it. The treatment was more affordable than other quotes I received. It was worth every penny.
